Scariest for me would be when I was in secondary school...JSS 2 or so...wanted to cross the Iwo road-Ojoo axis. I and two other girls playfully holding hands...we were not going or relating but we wanted to cross at the same time. I could still recall how I took the step and a voice just told me to go back...the two girls crossing went for the run across the road one was hit by a truck and her brain spilled out in an instant, right in front of me!

I could have been dead too!


My praise and gratitude to Jesus who has always been there, watching and keeping me away from seen and unseen dangers.

May his saving hands keep us all through the remainder of this year. Amen.

I don't cross that iwo road unless the road is 100% clear, I don't mind if it takes me ages to cross

D day I lost my dad, cried like a baby...tho he suffered an ailment but still prayed he survived, miss him so much on behalf of my mum n siblings

Mine was watching a child fall from the 3rd floor of a building. I was talking with some friends while the boy was in the 3rd floor of his parents playing then somehow, he fell off from such a huge distance. I watched in disbelief as people quickly rushed to the scene and had the child taken to the hospital immediately. Luckily the child survived.

Second was a beggar who lived on my street. He was starving and had no option but to beg for help. Each day going to work, I gave him what I could afford. Traveled for some weeks and I saw him down to just a bag of bones. Next day he was already dead. For about a week his body was still there and no one cared.

one of my scariest was when I almost had a head on collision with a tanker while traveling. Within a fraction of a second of colliding we somehow veered to the other side of the road. Worst still I was at the drivers seat where the damage would have been worse. Honestly I was seconds away from death..

Last on my most traumatic was witnessing a murder scene. I don't even want to talk about it..

I've experienced the near collision with a tanker before and I was sitting close to the driver. The lord really saved my life that day cos our driver was helpless as he couldn't change lanes, we were nose to nose with the tanker. I can't be caught dead in that front whenever I want to travel.

Exactly a month today (a day after ileya)I went to a salon to Plat my hair,later a customer came and the hair dresser begged me to fix the customer hair and I agreed,not quite the hair dresser fell and we gave her milk but she didn't respond so we took her to hospital and we were told that she is late,I was shocked what came to my mind was that is this how people die,fell and did,I could not sleep in my room that day

It’s been about 15 years or so ago.

I pulled next to a mini van at a stop light. Inside was the family that sat next to me at a restaurant just minutes before.

Family of six, mom, dad and four kids.

While the light was still red, the mum who was driving crept forward into the crossing lane and right into the path of a speeding tow truck coming down hill.

Only the two truck driver survived with massive injuries. The entire family died.

I went back home, took the day off, picked up my kids back from school and stayed in bed all day.

I still feel sad to this day.

Watching the 911 jumpers also makes me sad.

When the keke I boarded two years ago took a tumble and just kept on dragging on the floor without end...in the middle of the express way. I heard someone screaming manaically, and it was when the keke finally halted after what seemed like forever that I realised I was the person screaming.

That day, I emerged from the wreckage bruised, bloodied and with a sobering realisation that life is very very fragile. It is hanging on a thin thread and can snap in less than a second.

Your descriptive prowess though

The day my father closed from work, walked to Mr Biggs, on his own and bought everybody snacks.

With Ice cream on top. The scariest thing was that, when my mother went to bring knife to cut the Meat pies. My father just laughed, and said " Every body 1 to 1"

That day makes me shiver in utmost disbelief.
In fact I still have night mares till this day.

Witnessed a beheading during the BAKASSI boys days in aba,
Witnessed four lynching that has made my heart devilish cold. the most recent one that happened, i jus passed the burning guy like it was nothing.
Have also seen a building collaspe with it occupant.
Witnessed a live kidnapping.
LIFE is crazy...

I can relate... Mine was my bro right in my hands while my dad died 3 days after spending a week with him in the hospital... I am still traumatized by my bros death... The stuff just won't go away

I can relate to this as I also went through the same. Watched my father died slowly waiting for him to breathe his last, it still hurts me as it’s just last month

Going to the airport to pick my siblings. Plane crashed.

First, mine was boarding Arik Air by 2am from Angola to Nigeria. Flight time was suppose to be 3hrs but it seemed like forever.
The turbulence that night was very crazy and the plane was filled to the brim even with some guys been deported from Angola.
The plane had a lot of old women in it and that didnt help matter. Infact I slept off a few mins after we went air borne but the shouting from these women jolted me from my sleep.
Another was when I was rushing to the Airport. It was a few minutes to missing my flight and I had a connecting flight.
Driving to the Airport, I had to speed and with that speed, I was very close to having a head-on collision with an on coming vehicle and I was on a wrong lane.
The other driver took a quick action and swerved into the sidewalk... that saved me

The day a building opp our block in Jakande Estate, Ipaja caught fire. A lil girl was asleep inside and probably forgot to switch off the stove. The building fell slowly like a pack of cards, and each scream reminded us all that a girl was in there. The sight of her charred remains was scary. Then fire service for naija don crumble teh teh.
