ok so answer this question - should a guy marry a lady who doesn't spend on him?

Please make no assumptions about who I am and what my position to OP's question is while answering my question above
I won't advice should. When you love, you give. It applies to both sexes.

Give what and why .Poor people reason very differently and that is why they are poor. They tend to spend even more than rich people. If you give a poor man 10 million today don't be surprised if it is finished before Christmas > Whilst a rich man would think of how to double it. Poverty is a mindset

There is nothing that I need that I cannot do for myself. I can't afford a private jet but I don't really need one. I am contented with what I can earn by myself. I

So I cannot imagine sulking that someone has not got me this or that as a gift. Money should be invested wisely and if that means being called stingy then you are on the right track. If you have 100K buy shares not phones. Buy share in Apple or Samsung instead
If someone came to me now to offerme a gift I cannot think of what to ask for becauseI can look after myself fully. Anything I ask for would be greed
I expect everyone associated with me to be in that position or moving in that direction. So I would probably ask for something outrageous like a house or brand new car.If you want to give me a gift give me a book that will teach me something
I have seen a situuation with a Nigerian couple working in the same organization on the same payscale ,same profession yet the woman complains that the man does not buy gifts.Me I do not understand it at all

Let us look at my relationships with my real friends. I do not nurture those relationships with gifts which they don't need anyway but with service. If I became homeless today who would keep me in their house for 12 months? That is a better test than who bought me an Iphone/ If I need a kidney tomorrow who would give it or who would I give?

If I a stranded somewhere at 3.00am who can I call and know they will come?

I can gift contribution to school fees that is genuine which I will definitely check, or any form of training or CPD that is geared toward financial independence but luxuries like hair phone and other shiny things no chance.Get your own

Words of wisdom. Most shocking is the fact that some of these 'give me' girls come from comfortable backgrounds. How can someone from a well-to-do family believe that the salary of her boyfriend who is just starting out in life is there for her to buy frivolous things? That same girl would be more comfortable in a nice house and clean car, but she wants to sit down and eat all the money. Its mostly poor people that make a fuss about using Gucci/Versace, iPhones and human hair, because they want to be seen in a certain class, so I'm confounded when I see girls from comfortable backgrounds desperate to also be seen to be using such unnecessary stuff. Its a poor man's mentality to buy an unnecessarily expensive item because using it is a symbol of wealth, wealth you haven't acquired on your own.
The greatest misfortune that can befall a man is to be involved with a girl that doesn't believe in saving. Such girls would throw tantrums when you decide to save money for a project and nag about how the money you're left with is too small for them to 'enjoy', forgetting that when you've saved up enough money to rent a good apartment, buy a nice car or invest in a business, they'd still be the ones to enjoy it with you. Basically girls these days just want a guy that has both the money to spend and basic luxuries of life. You see them talking anyhow to guys with relatively good jobs that invest their money for a better tomorrow because they're jealous of their friends who receive gifts from their boyfriends. Sometimes I feel disgusted when I think about it, that a girl's friends receive gifts so she starts haranguing her boyfriend to buy iPhone etc for her, knowing fully well he has invested almost all his money into something important undecided
lol,
As far as fake hair is concerned it itt not allowed in my house.I can't stand it.
The way poor people and by poor ( I mean even some of those with plenty of cash),the way they validate tthemselves is by spending and that is why you see some of these politicians with 30 houses and so on In their minds they feel poor . Spending is wha makes some people human. I have had people from Nigeria come to stay with me for two weeks and the only thing they do is shop. We leave the house the same time I go to work and they go to shop like it is a job.One woman was telling me how some of the stuff she bought two years ago are still unpacked in their boxes.3 children and parentts come every year sometimes twice and they live in rented accommodation in Lekki. Both very well paid but the woman has serious complex and the way she manages it is to travel and shop often for things like plates because the ones at home are "boring"

Seriously
Guy ,if you are not yet married and live outside Nigeria forget about Nigerian women for relationships unless she has clear professional or business future.
If you got the cash put them on a no strings attached salary and change them every 3-6 months. They want to be paid so pay them but be very clear you are just their client

I think Nigerian men are also to blame for creating these attitudes. I once dated a Zimbabwean woman who was so excited about dating her "first Nigerian" guy . All her friends had dated Nigerians and the deal ws clubbing every weekend or "going somewhere nice",lots of gifts and cash including rent paid. You know how it is.Let us jus say I was a huge disappointment for her and the "relationship" lasted about 3 weeks.. At tthe end she said I am a liar that I am Ghanaian not Nigerrian grin
