Victor Moses does not have a degree but there is the possibility that he speaks a better English than some of our English graduates. There is also the possibility that he has a better understanding of sports injuries than our physiotherapists. It all boils down to his exposure which in itself is education.

George Bernard Shaw was a famous writer who even won a Nobel Prize in literature. Bernard Shaw had no degree because he saw university education as a waste of time. Shaw educated himself. He had no degree but he was more enlightened than many of our professors of sociology or literature. Abraham Lincoln was a lawyer who trained himself by reading books. He didn't cram for the sake of getting the coveted degree.

If they want to compare, compare the average SSCE holder and degree holder in Nigeria. Putting a Harvard drop-out and IT expert on the same educational level with a NIGERIAN SSCE holder doesn't make sense to me.

The average Nigerian SSCE holder who doesn't further, didn't do so by choice but by circumstance. Comparing them to people who made it into Harvard and willingly dropped out ,all to make a point is highly offensive.

Stop painting flawed analogies. They make your argument very unconvincing. Discriminating against blind or cripple women when choosing a partner isn't the same as discriminating against people who don't have degrees. They aren't the same thing.

My focus on tech experts is to illustrate to you how you are drawing a false equivalence between education and having a degree. A degree is merely a written statement that one has acquired knowledge or skill in a certain area. Now if one doesn't have that written statement, it doesn't mean he or she hasn't acquire such knowledge or skill. But your discrimination on the basis of having or not having a degree, excludes people who might have education in a particular field, but without the written statement. Like there are lots of course today that can be self thought. Take for instance a course like history. What's the difference between someone who decided to study history on his own and someone who spent four years in the university studying history? At the end of the day what matters is the knowledge gathered and the person's ability to retain that knowledge.

You should understand that there are different categories of non degree holders just as there are different categories of degree holders. There are non degree holders who are inarticulate, uninformed and without any marketable skills, while there are those that are smart, informed and "educated." But the problem is that you are painting them with a single brush. You aren't even considering the SSCE holders who were smart enough to gain admission into good schools but dropped out along the way. You don't box everyone into the same category.

How are they different? They are all people lacking something that makes compatibility easier among partners. be it EDUCATIONAL, PHYSICAL, RELIGIOUS, CULTURAL, FINANCIAL...ETC!!!

There is a reason you don't just walk on the streets and pick any girl, you have choices, that are somehow superficial... you look out for.

Some people's own is degree, your own might be religion. CHOICE!!!!! It's not up to you to tell them theirs is flawed and yours isn't.
