Asking us to give you reasons why you chose a major is falsifying statements. You yourself know the reasons. There are programs that accept students coming from entirely different and opposite backgrounds. You need to dig deep why you chose the business path for your studies

Greetings to the honorable members of the forum.
My visa was delayed in August, 2017. Because the useless agent processed 5 years undergraduate studies in Biochemistry in CSUEB.
I just gained admission for masters degree in one year accelerated master of science in Business in Lincoln University.
I'm planning to go for interview by December.
I need your expertise advice on how to convince vo for this change.
Any advice will help please.

Well It is the same state, I plan to get an associate degree from a community college before transferring to a four year university, since the college is very close to her home I will be attending the College as a day student.
No need to rush. Please take your time and apply to a university that is not in the same state or city with your aunty in order to save your visa application fee.

But if you wanna gamble, no problem. cool

guys please was anyone giving conditional admission to redo some courses?, will it be a problem during visa interview?
If you can explain properly then there'll be no problem.

The VO would like to know the kind of condition.

Another way to overcome this assumption is to take standard tests and do very well.

Try to understand me brother. I already had B.Sc Accounting from AAUA, and I asked the agent that helped me process the last application for masters, but instead, he did undergraduate studies in Biochemistry because I did science in SSCE.
I'm asking if from your wealthy experience, you've encountered such, a little advice could help.
Thank you.

whenever anybody (Visa officers, Admissions committee) ask "why this course", they are not looking to hear your life story (like " ever since I was a child..." wahala), as a grown adult they are expecting realistic reasons that will ultimately be of benefit to you. As an an accounting degree individual going to a business school, it's most likely that you are ready to transition from the number crunching to more managerial and executive roles, and your experience (hoping you have that) in accounting (and maybe auditing) better suits you for top level financial advisory and analytical roles. so when faced with that question, a likely answer would be "I am confident that with my experience as an accountant, a business degree would greatly improve my chances of an early transition into executive roles , advisory roles and top notch consulting. which is line with my goal of taking one step further in the corporate and financial ladder"

Its not true. WHen A LOT of people go for visa interviews unprepared and they fail, they blame the VOs and call them strict. If you are prepared my brother, its the same thing. Lagos rejects a lot too (if you ain't prepared o). Everything na your belief. My friend got his visa at ABUJA. He was prepared. So if you are, then why are you scared? Remember, the VOs are humans like us. They are only doing their job. You just have to convince them you are a genuine student and not a potential immigrant. That's all. I wish you the best and expect your transcript Sir.

Whether strict or not, if you are able to prove that you are a genuine student, you applied to a decent school and not 1 building school or community college, you will get it.

Yes Shola. Who ever is your sponsor, you must present a bank statement to back up you claim of being able to cover your funding and living expenses while in the United States.

Meanwhile, you said you are new. I will advise you take your time to go through this thread to see ACCEPTED and DELAYED interview transcripts. They might be long but I tell you, its worth it. Or to make your job easier, on the SEARCH BAR above, just type VO MBA. You will see transcripts relating MBA both delayed and approved. You will be glad you did at the end.

Lastly, pray and commit this to God. He still has the final say.

I wish you luck Sir/ Ma. Hope to read your successful visa interview transcript here soon.

Believe what the prof @femi321 has said and be bold enough to speak the truth, be mindful of when the VO want to throw you off balance and let he/she knows you know what you are saying.

best of luck
