wristbangle:They are all driven by the oil and gas sector of Nigeria. Without oil Nigeria is nothing at least for now. Hopefully that will soon change. |

Movic1: That is the ignorance, arrogance and foolish talk by someone who has just been elected as Governor or leader. You can imagine why the ordinary men say equally foolish things. They have exported this kind if stupid talk and attitude to other countries. This and other similar disgusting attitude and criminal behavioural tendencies are some reasons why many more countries now hate the Nigerians living their country. 8 Likes 1 Share |

YelloweWest:Driven? What does that mean?Oil is 10% of GDP so to say Nigeria is nothing without oil and gas is risible. Our neighbouring countries are not nothing. Nigeria will struggle without oil but it is not Nothing. Diaspora remittances match what we get from oil and gas 9 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerians!!! Haba, pls there's enough to go round than these fights ba! But @Doncandido's "Yeah. I can't agree more. Anambra consistently and successfully exported armed robbers, kidnappers, drug barons, currency and drug counterfeiters, ritualists, idolaters, prostitutes, street hawkers, wharf rats etc to Lagos. " - haba this is "mordant wit" delivered "deadpan" yet with great fluidity of thought. Pls use this gift for higher purposes too Sir/Mam. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Imagine Peter Obi behind Obiano. He pushes the political angle while Ifeanyi Uba pushes the business angle, rebranding APGA as not just an igbo party, but one that is the most economic and business friendly party. Labaran Maku can push the northern angle, though the primary aim is to capture SE first. Peter Obi had the opportunity to do something great with the APGA Ojukwu left in his care with all the good will he had, but he blew it for PDP mess of pottage. 1 Like |

*EMANCIPATION 2019!! FREEDOM IN OUR HANDS!!* Perhaps the most audible mantra ever heard in our political history was the 'CHANGE' mantra echoed all over in the several months that led to the 2015 supposed change of government making 'a conglomerate of political party abscondees' take over government as the ruling party. Did we truly experience any change? Ofcourse, we did! We experienced cosmetic change. A change of name, a change of portfolios, a change of allegiances, a change of party cards but no *true* change. Like in your favourite movies where a criminal fraudulently purchases new identification documents and travels to a new country yet retains his basic nature as a thief or murderer, our political leaders as they have been wont to do for decades didn't just recycle themselves into political office this time around but assembled the charade of a seemingly new party and sang the songs of change so sweetly to beguile us into hope. But just as you cannot expect a leopard to change its spots, you cannot expect these same rottened political clime to give us what they do not have-good leadership We are not absolved of blame because as a people, we did not question facts that lay bare in our faces, we chose to pick what we considered the lesser evil hoping evil will overnight become good. We had better alternatives. Persons who had proven to have impeccable characters but we dismissed them as selfish because they did not spend as much money, distribute as much bags of rice or belong to the bigger and more popular parties. That's the Nigerian people we have become. We'd rather support people who throw money around, visit godfathers, Obas and Emirs all over the country without giving thought to where they get so much money to throw around. Then when these people who have paid to successfully rig the elections emerge winners and begin to selfishly collect back their campaign expenses and more from our collective commonwealth, we begin to cry fowl not knowing that we are reaping the fruits of our negligence. .(To be continued) https://chat dot whatsapp dot com/EcKOSQcudM5BPRhuQep3W1 copy the link into your web browser and change the dots(words) to actual punctuation marks Please let us keep broadcasting this group link all over until it gets to every Nigerian. Together we can indeed make a difference |

YelloweWest:You are introducing another word first "driven" now "dependent"? Nigeria is dependent on MANY things and oil is one of them. A man is dependent on his eyes and his legs and his hands and his teeth etc . Driven has a completely different meaning Nigeria is even more dependent on subsistence agriculture because if that fails people would starve literally. Those who actually spend the oil money are a tiny minority. Most Nigerians live off the land Nigeria is equally dependent on remittances from its citizens abroad as it is on oil .Last year the figure was over $20 billion US oil revenue was $26 billion 4 Likes 1 Share |
