You've got to love this Daddy Freeze guy. He seems to love courting controversies!

Anyway, jokes apart, while I don't think Daddy Freeze is a serious christian (he himself doesn't claim to be one), I think he is being sincere by sharing his views about ideas/traditions that people hold on fastidiously to without thinking through the scriptures or even commonsensical realities.

On this particular occasion, he just sensibly told people not to make Christmas travels/journeys or lavish money during this Yuletide season UNREASONABLY! That is, why must you travel home when you have, for instance not made provisions for your children's school fees or house rent or other essential needs of your family ahead of the new year? Though he didn't word it that way, one can surely and intelligently read between the lines of his statements.

If you can afford to travel for the festivities far away in your village without it giving you too much hassles, please do. But if it would stress you needlessly, then stay wherever you are and enjoy your holiday without developing high blood pressure because of the need to conform to societal pressures. So in case anybody thinks that it his/her religious obligations to still travel home, then he said - after all Jesus was not born in your village, neither was he born on Dec 25th (which historically is just a commemorative date!)

Let us strive to always put on our thinking caps, so as not excite ourselves needlessly when people such as Faddy Freeze talk. He may actually be seeking attention, but that is actually in sync with his profession, and most of his utterances do actually make sense, if one is not being over sentimental.

If you’re a Christian then you’re erroneously basking in ignorance...we Christians believe that the almighty Jehovah is the owner of the days, months and years of the earth..Satan or any pagan god has no contribution in creation..so how can the 25th of December be abandoned to the worship of a sun god? The Bible made it known that the devil is the perverter of the ways of God..Christians have seized back the 25th of December as a day to rejoice for the birth of our saviour!
