You accommodated a stranger guy you met on nairaland in your house and likely in ur room.
Hmmmm. That's risky.
What if he overpowered you and force himself on you.
BTW in a law court, you have no evidence to back up this accusation.

You know he'll go underground if he sees this thread but if you use law enforcement agents to fish him out, he'll learn his lessons.

I don't want to judge op because I did something like this late last year.

In one of my thread I posted , I was looking for a business partner and a guy contacted me,let me call him k, we talked on whatsapp and on phone. He said he wants to relocate to Lagos from ibadan and set up a business.

We decided he should come over to Lagos ,so that we can start up the business and for him to get his own apartment but meanwhile he will be living with me in my one room self contained .

He came on a Monday and stays for five days before he left, unfortunately we couldn't start up the business because of the money involves.

What I am trying to say is that op could be saying the truth because k actually stayed five days with me, we slept on the same bed and I make sure he was comfortable all through his stay but we didn't engaged ourselves in any sexual activities.

We gist, talked and hangout, I will leave him at home and I won't get scared. Maybe because I trust people easily
The night before k left, he took me out and get some groceries for me and we still talk once in a while

Maybe I would have done same if I was in op shoe's.

Just saying!!!!!
and u are female as well i guess? Sister its dangerous inviting a strange man into ur room to spend the night with u for whatever reason.maybe u can do for a close male friend u trust but for a total male stranger...haba sister. That's how people take needles risks and when the unwanted happens they will come here and start seeking sympathy. That is if they are still alive to tell their story. Look girl abi lady, nobody is saying you shouldn't shouldn't show hospitality but to a stranger and male at that? No no.... The saying that "this world is a wicked place" is not a bedtime story. Get that into your brain.

well,Venica. I was just clowning on my last comment . but never accommodate anybody you don't know again, never. we Yoruba's have a proverb that says Ore niwon "doing good has limit" you can give but this type of good is too dangerous,Nigeria itself is the most dangerous country in the world, don't pity anybody like that again, even if its an archbishop, don't be kind to that extent again. I fed a boy for 6months,took care of him since he had nobody,he slept at my house for months,he gained my trust because he intentionally didn't steal if I test him with money ,I took care of him but he paid me back by stealing my 80k later on and stole my android phone and ran into thin air. those thieves are all over and they present themselves like very nice persons, they make you trust you, they act nicely

Why would you accommodate a guy?

If he claims to be a pastor ,the possibility his church has a branch in a cosmopolitan city is very high.why can't his church members assist?

I don't believe this story.

TSOM:
I understand.
I'm on the whole indifferent about religion and its ritualistic practises too but take spirituality seriously.
Most folks have probably attended more church programmes last month than I have in the last fifteen months. But that spirituality should be fueled by the doctrines(?) of the Christian faith.
You are right, bro. But anyone not willing to take risk will never attain spiritual maturity. To begin that personal journey, it helps that one knows the essentials of the Christian faith, especially, the Sacrifice of Christ which reconciled us with God. That sacrifice gave us back the Life that Adam threw away in the Garden of Eden. That sacrifice freed us from the Wrath of the Law and the unnecessary rituals of religion. Most importantly, it gave us freedom. Freedom to seek the truth personally with the assurance that we would find it. That should be what a finished Christian product should look like. The disciples were trained, not to revert to the rituals of religion under the Law, but to preach the Good News that they witnessed, bring believers into the fold and guide them toward spiritual maturity. The goal has always been to emphasize spirituality over religiosity but pastors of today emphasize religiosity over spirituality and Christ called them thieves because they are stealing His flock for the purpose of fleecing them.

No. it is the same thing. I can still be robbed or even encounter more terrible things. The guy didn't try over power her or something. I think the problem was caused when she allowed a total stranger into her house.

Goodmorning, bro.

I personally don't have anything against pastors collecting tithes. The problem I have with them is when they pervert the Word of God to justify the collection of tithes under the New Covenant which Christ purchased with His blood. The pastors can create means to service their greed but they should stop twisting the scriptures to support their false claims.

Take for instance, the seed sowing doctrine. A simple scripture about planting the Word (seed) of God is still been unabashedly twisted by pastors to justify the collection of seeds (money). This is sickening. And the sad thing is that they have a large following and many people hang on to the philosophy of these men instead of trusting on the Counsel of the Holy Spirit by studying the Word personally.

Honestly Bro I don't blame the members, Everyone is looking for a sharp miracle, So most pastors use that as a means of robbing the members of their hard earned money.
