Good morning house,
I am a tour planner and have just been contacted by a school to plan out a 2018 summer vacation for her pupils to New York, United States. I
Urgent feedback: Best you try to contact the US Consulate to know the process for group travel for underage. I want to believe that they are quite strict about this vis-a-vis child trafficking, etc, and would have a slightly different procedure. You may also visit the USIS (I don't know if they have a new name, but it the US agency that promotes education).

Hello People,

Please I need your assistance and any information will be appreciated.

I used the Dropbox system for my B1/B2 renewal and was called for a follow up interview. The letter said my application was inconclusive and additional information is needed. Do I still have a great chance of getting the visa when I go for the follow up interview ?

On that 221(g) letter sent to you, was any of the points specifically ticked?

what do you mean by doing it for someone I ask a question next you could say is he is doing it for someone. I used an agent in 2015 but retrieve the form since I want to do it myself now and you are saying I am doing it for someone, some of you can be so annoying

Even at that, the agent couldn't have not faced this 'the school you attended thing' as long as you are male....

Josh121:

I applied for US visa some time in 2015 but didn't fill the school i attended now i want to reapply , I am just been careful so i don't misrepresent any information.
Please some one advice , someone told me filling school is not important

hello guys, thanks for this thread. please i have some very important questions. i study here in Germany (masters) and i intend visiting the united states for my aunty's graduation ceremony and the school has sent me an invitation letter already, i still have two more years to finish my studies but in Germany they give one year renewable visa till i finish my masters, please would that be a problem?

my second question is, about 5 years ago i tried applying for visa i got denied and i stated that i have a brother working as a doctor there so about a year ago my sister tried to apply to the united states for studies but she was denied and the vo told her that the reason was our brother who travelled for studies over 20 years ago finished his studies and got married and divorced just to become a citizen. so my question is guys must i indicate in my form that i have a brother? and if yes how can i avoid that question?

are you really serious that it's not mandatory for females to fill educational qualification while it's mandatory for males?

this feels so wrong.. where are the feminists when you need them

That is how they chose their system to be. It's nothing to do with feminists or not. It's either you abide by it or not.

You just have to state it there as they already have your brothers records linked to you. Just be sincere, application are treated based on circumstances, your circumstances over the years have changed so it's up to you to defend yourself and convince them that you are a geniune applicant.

of course, I know.

it just came as a surprise to me that's all. like what you would expect from our side of the continent. when the first guy mentioned it, i actually assumed he was being sarcastic and I laughed. it was when seyewest also mentioned it I figured it was not a joke.

or maybe it,s not universal, and it was made that way putting our peculiar situation into consideration. afterall it's a visa site for Nigerians.

Yes! the first one was ticked and it said Please return to the embassy by scheduling an appointment at ustraveldocs at no cost to speak with an interviewing officer. Do i still have a high chance of getting the visa just like the ordinary dropbox system? Has anyone gone through this process?

Have you used your visa out of terms? Do you in your estimation think or know you have done anything wrong to the extent you may not be granted visa renewal? You know best!

Well, you may be called in for things as simple as taking of new biometrics or submission of a proper passport photo for visa issuance, just as you can be randomly called in for interview/chat.... But if you know you have done something wrong or misused your visa, hardly will it pass unnoticed or unattended. Regards

why the rush? why can't they wait for the application filed by your elder brother to come through?
or is she not planning on coming back?

anyways, if there's no intended misuse of visa, she can travel with you. Just get a letter of consent from her parents. that should work.

but if they intend to misuse the visa, it may affect your own visa application in future

it's we Nigerians that like complex things, over there, the simplest solution is usually the answer.

It can take up to 14yrs for family immigration for siblings to get approved

No one here can determine if you will get the visa or not but go to the U.S embassy website and read the part 1-3 of this thread. you will thank us.

A quick question pls.
I was discussing with a friend about a conference i will like to attend in April. She said i should pay the conference fee before going for the visa interview. That paying conference fee can further show the genuineness of my intent.
Actually, the conference fee doesnt have closing date. But it make no sense to me to pay conference fee now. What of if they deny me the visa? So i will now lose 15% of the conference fee or what? grin

$1700 no be beans oooh.
Abeg, i need experienced people opinion on this. Thanks.

Yes it does.
All the more reason why she applying for visa for her niece will raise suspicion.

If the fee is refundable, you can pay then go for your interview way ahead of the refundable due date incase you didn't get the visa.

Lol! The US embassy is not putting a gun to anybody's head to apply for their visas.

If they feel you're a genuine visitor and will not end up abusing the visitors visas when granted then getting it wont be a problem.

Paying the conference fee doesn't justify ties. So think twice. Are you ready to forfeit 15% of the fee? If you can then apply.

Yes. Travel history section was also N/A while preparing DW's application but it still came up at the interview.
