The PDP guy is a hopeless joker. angry He did not complain when toll gate charges were increased. Now he is wailing about the introduction of Yoruba language, as a criteria for admission into state-owned schools. Why didn't his party PDP make noise when Anambra and Imo passed similar laws, to make Igbo compulsory in primary and secondary schools within their region? Or when Igbo language was incorporated into General Studies courses in state-owned tertiary institutions in Anambra? Yeye man!

huh either you dont understand what is happening here or na me dey overstand. there is no state in the east where it is compulsory to have at least a credit in igbo language to be admitted into their state universities. that, seems to me to be what lagos state is trying to do here. they want to make yoruba a core subject like maths and english for their state university.

Bia, who conducted this fake census for you and told you that Lagos has 70% of non-Yorubas? Who? shocked Why do you enjoy peddling lies and propaganda at your age?

And the law is only for Lagos state-owned tertiary institutions. undecided Other federal institutions exist in the state, where this law does not apply. Apart from that, over 34 other states do not have the same law in place, so you can still attend tertiary institutions in those states. So why this stress?

Afterall, Anambra and Abia states do not have the same laws, do they? As for Ekiti, Oyo, Osun and Ogun states not following suit, nobody knows tomorrow. They might decide to toe the same line as Lagos, in a few months. So quickly go and buy your JAMB Form and complete the admission process, before they change their minds... cheesy

THE ONE NIGERIA YORUBAS ARE THE ONES THAT WILL FUSTRATE YOUR ODUDUWA REPUBLIC BILL.

NIGERIA HAVE GONE TOO FAR TO ALLOW SEPARATIST AND TRIBAL SUPREMACIST DIVIDE US.

THIS BILL IS VERY NICE ON PAPER BUT WILL HAVE THE INSURMOUNTABLE CONSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA TO CONTEND WITH, THE MINUTE THEY TRY TO ENFORCE IT.

IT CONTRAVENES NOT ONLY THE CIVIL RIGHTS AND HUMAN RIGHTS OF THE MULTI ETHNIC NIGERIANS BUT IT IS AN AFFRONT TO THE DIVERSITY OF WHICH NIGERIA BOAST.

is Lagos not part of Nigeria again

If they allow this rubbish bill; very soon other states will follow suit

If Yorubas are feeling insecured about Lagos; let them push for referendum so we can all agree they own Lagos. If not for now Lagos belong to every fucking Nigerian and even Fulani and aboki niger - rians grin

This bill is an insult to all other tribes FFS

This is why Nigeria will hardpy progess

Few are patriotic whereas almost everybody is tribalistlc and care only about their tribe.

I have come to realize almost every Yoruba sees Lagos as their one and only birthright ; forgetting that Lagos is collective work of every tribe especially Niger Delta money

in fact Nigeria must remain as one

Cosmopolitan? Na who cosmopolitan help? Cosmopolitan won't get you anywhere without a sense of identity. Lagos is in Yorubaland and Yoruba language is part of the identity.
Stop being small minded! Lagos is what it is because of it cosmopolitan nature. Lagos accommodating every body. When kano decided that religious is more important than economic well being, it became dead. Ask around that that have being in kano for before.

If Lagos state has decided to make a credit pass in Yoruba language part of its admission criteria into tertiary institutions, why don't you opt for a federal institution where the law does not apply? Why are you chaps wailing over this issue when alternatives exist nationwide? shocked

That law is quite shallow and fascist in nature so should be suspended....It will only set a precedence for more unhealthy tribalism and nepotism across the country..Nigerians need to bond more not to be distanced further ...Besides if Lagos doesn't require proficiency in Yoruba to collect taxes from me why should they when I want to access tertiary education in the state ..makes no sense
Go and suspend it.

I have one question for Igbos, put yourself in the shoes of Yorubas, will you be willing to let go of your ancestral land just because it is cosmopolitan, was a former capital? Answer these question in all sincerity.

God forbid if Lagos goes up in flames today, Everybody else will run away from Lagos including Igbos only the Yoruba's will be looking for water to quench the fire? Typical scenario was during the Abiola crisis the Aftermath of June 12,the Igbos ran back to the East until the peace was restored.

private primary and secondary schools must obey the law. Call it madness or anything you like. When anambra and imo did the same thing you crybabies didn't complain. Go back to your state if you don't want your kids to learn Yoruba. Simple
