On Awaziem against Marseille

Positives- He was vertile, a natural central defender but can play left back or right back
He was a good header of a ball, good in heading- in set-pieces
A solid man-marker...took out Thauvin except for that last gasp goal...my o my...96th minutes..heatbreaking
A decent tackler. Tackles, clearances and duels were done with finesse[ compare with Taribo West aka mongaru tutti]
He uses both feet, but majorly the right.
Negative- He did not bomb forward, didnt initiate any counter attack except for one, once,he desperately kick out a ball...for a doomed counter
attack by Nantes
The goal Marseille scored ,though he deflected the ball for a corner, as a left back he should have stayed put at that left
goalpost[during
corners, left and right backs stay at their respective goalpost and goal line]Awaziem did not do this. Though there two other
defenders with him there,it was his duty to remain and kick out any goal bound shot.

Above all,we have an elegant centre back to last a decade!!!
Not just an elegant one, a potentially world class defender, who if he keeps working hard and improving at this rate in three years I see him playing for one of the best teams in the world.

Ronaldo is the Messi of Real Madrid? Kai icon79 o pari master would be happy with this but don't let Madrid fans see this o.

Here's what the legendary Gary Lineker has to say:
When asked in an interview with Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo who is better Ronaldo or Messi?, he replied: “I like Cristiano a lot, but Messi is from another world.”

A Lesson For Our Young Players

I’m actually just watching Phil Foden out on the pitch and he’s practicing and you might think why am I mentioning that?” Gary Neville said towards the end of his podcast after the Man City vs Chelsea game. “I’m mentioning that because I don’t see enough of it and actually I’m delighted to see him out there with the fitness coach, about to do some work on his own and I like it.
“I like the fact that he’s a young player who’s taking responsibility for his performance; he’s come on for a couple of minutes but he’s out there - he wants to play.”

As someone that has done multiple/numerous activities that required being exposed to official documents within the US I disagree with you.
tbaba1234:

Meaning Spanish is not some official administrative language. It is used for convenience and ease.

The legal requirement for using other than English are very few.

Most official documents in the US contain both English and Spanish languages. enough said, do your research.

It's not just Mexicans, North America is filled with alot of Spanish speaking people/countries. There are more Spanish speaking countries than English in North America (Not saying Spanish speakers are more in population.

Spanish speakers are immigrants.

Good move, if you ask me. Actually, I am of the school of thought that teams should be allowed to make as many subs as they want. I don't understand the benefit of capping the subs at 3.

Teams will be allowed to make a fourth substitution during extra time in the WC.

What do you guys think about this?

Shebi I told y'all that Awaziem is going to start in Russia, either as a Center Back or elsewhere. If I can see his quality/potential, I am pretty sure that Rohr would see the same thing as well. And by the way, not to tort my own horn, I made the same prediction about Ndidi after he had his first cameo under Rohr.

Awaziem played Left back today and was outstanding. Best player for his team. One more player that can play left back.

Why are we still carrying Elderson?

Sure ke when forgiveness is saying his place is up for grabs? Ilori and Iorfa would bench him grin

Where did you see I stated what you just conjured from your fantacy?

forgiveness:

Will the world end after the WC? I don't know but we are saying catch them now before they become better players.

Manuel - Akanji is already gone and we cannot afford to miss these ones, especially Uduokhai, Ilori and Adarabioyo because they are exceptional good.

However, going to the world Cup, if Akpoguma, Uduokhai and Adarabioyo agrees to play for Nigeria then it is certainly certain that Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo's place are up for grab.

Did you see it there? Abi you get comprehension problem?

Bia... Take ya time ooooooo.

Now, back to the discussion. Do you think Tiago Ilori and Dominic Iorfa Jnr no fit play than Awaziem in the Ligue 1?

Answer dat one first before. grin

Oya, look the snapshot and compare Awaziem stats in the Ligue 1 with Tiago Ilori stats in the same ligue 1 then tell me who pass who. grin

Defensively, Offensively and passing attributes. grin

Dominic Iorfa Jnr stats is better than Aweriem own this season. Sorry. grin

I agree that it would delay the game if there are too many changes; however, I would not expect too many changes if they open it up. I mean, the team would still prefer to play their best players as much as possible. Right now, many teams don't even take advantage of the 3 changes anyway.

Yes, it would be chaos, in terms of delaying the game. But you're presuming that we'd see much more than 3 to 4 changes per game, if teams get more options. But I really don't think so, because every team would still want their best players on the field. You just don't take out Messi to replace him with Andre Gomes, just because you can grin

Super Eagles Keeper Uzoho Concedes Twice As Deportivo Fabril Lose

Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho conceded two second-half goals in action for Real Deportivo Fabril who lost 2-0 away to CF Talavera de al Reina in Sunday’s Segunda Division B league game, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Uzoho was beaten from the penalty spot by Jorge Fernandez in the 62nd minute before Christian Fernandez sealed the win two minutes from time for Talareva to deny the 19-year-old Super Eagles goalkeeper his 11th clean sheet of the season.

The loss was the 14th of the season for Real Deportivo Fabril in the third division in Spain.

Uzoho has now been beaten 11 times in 16 league games this season and he has kept 10 clean sheets.

The former Golden Eaglets keeper is currently being monitored by Nigerian goalkeeper trainer Enrico Pionetti in Spain.

Barring any injury worries Uzoho will be included in Nigeria’s squad for the pre-World Cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia later this month.

Real Deportivo Fabril are now fourth in the table with 47 points from 28 games.
