iblawi:However you don't need the F-7 to do that job anymore, the Super-Tucano will now do that. Have you seen the range of weapons and bombs we are getting with the Tucanos?......... It's incredible. It makes the F-7 useless in ground attack. F-7 will fill the gap in the interim while a proper capable jet is sourced. The Tucano and F-7 can and will be able to respond to the threats we are likely to face. The Tucano is sub-sonic, doesn't mean it is slow. The aircraft can fly at 7000km an hour. The F-7 will do all the protection until a good jet is bought. What is the benefit of moving from 3.5 - 4, when you already have an aircraft that can fill that gap between 3.6 - 4. We should instead focus on 4.5. |

SternProphet:I would have agreed with this, but only six units don't really change anything. 18 units of the same type of MIG Egypt got should be our absolute minimum. |

Henry240: The NAF won't like to look foolish. JF17 is new and only Pakistani Air force use them for now without a 2 seat variant. No one will just take the words of manufacturers as fact without hearing other users experience or flying in them. The three(3) requested for by the NAF might just be to see how effective they are and what gap can they fill. After all that, you can decide their worth, the quantity required and what more will you require to close gaps they couldn't fill. |

Covert1: The specifications of the Mi-35M are well documented. As are the specifications of the Mi-28NE. The mi-28 has an HMD identification and indication system slaved to the weapons systems The Mi-35 does not The mi-28 has the KRET package that allows the filming and transmission of footage via datalink The mi-35 does not The mi-28 has KRET’s airborne radar system The mi-35 does not have any radar at all I feel sorry for you, not only do you pretend to be in active duty service (stolen valour) but you need to pretend equipment is better than it is. Augustine, you need to be better. 9 Likes |

iblawi:That's an error, the Tucano can do 600km/h. Not slow, that's a sub-sonic speed. |

iblawi:Any purchase of a JF-17 Block II at this time will be redundant. We are better off waiting for the Block 3. |

patches689: Patch sry your internet failed you. That open source info u put out there is not lacking on the Mi-35M. In fact Nigeria's new Mi-35M can perform more intelligently. Period. Any further questions refer to the NAF. What you see here on Covert is what exists. I know Agaugust is your nemesis. Be careful he's watching you! You don't want him coming back to chase you down to Mamii! 4 Likes |

Henry240: Instead of waiting for block 3 we better go for MIG-35 like Egypt did. If we go by what is on paper, JF17 block 2 would be wonderful for the price. we can then compliment it with MIG-35 that uses same engine and carry similar weapons. MIG-35 is still far better than block 3 and block 4 that is to come. We can always use MIG-35 to fill gaps the JF17 can't fill. Just that JF17 need to prove their worth first. |

Covert1: This guy. When Russia adapts a standard Mi-35M for export they change the designation. Mi-35M2 ----> adapted for Venezuela Mi-35M4 ----> adpated for Brazil Mi-35O ----> adapted for Mexico If yours is designated Mi-35M it means it is a standard Mi-35M. Go back to pretending you were a soldier. At least that is entertaining. 5 Likes |
