One thing its pointing at is that young men, fathers have more work to do on themselves. Looking at it from this NL perspective alone shows clearly that male folk has got some issues, starting from their orientation, to the way of thinking, to their minset, and so on and so forth.

That's not true. Ladies, women do not hate their fathers but fathers have a way of distanting themselves from children and building this kind of 'wall' around themselves most times, thus, it's kind of difficult to really understand them sometimes.
However, the kind of orientation young men are having these days about women is a thing of worry and serious concern 'cos if they marry, how would they be able to be committed fully to their homes?
Also, talking about trust issues, mothers can be trusted more than fathers. Males are generally known to be cheats. ........ they are never satisfied...... children seen this trait in a man would certainly have reservations for them and not pray to have such as a spouse.

I can't marry a man like my dad to some extent. My dad always think his opinion is the best, no one else's matters.He always wants things to be perfect...he won't do things in bits when deadline is close, he starts rushing and ends up not doing a good job of that thing.For instance, he has a building project at hand, he abandoned it because, there's no enough money as in he's waiting for the money to be complete like complete to finish the whole thing at once forgetting he has other responsibilities to take care of. Even if he gets the money, he'll spend it on other things. I detest that kind of thing, do things in bits, you won't even feel the pressure when deadline reaches.

I don't want to be like my mum because, she can't speak up when my dad does things that hurt her, she rather complain to me and there's nothing I can do about it.

All the same, I love them both no one's perfect but, I'm scared of marrying a man like my dad

you're trying to argue to make mothers look good but you're coming back to my point. doesnt matter who is wrong between fathers and children. bottom line is if your relationship with your father aint right every relationship with every man wont be right coz you have preconcieved notions.
as you're saying fathers cant be trusted. already you have poisoned your mind against your BF. while, because mothers are trusted your BF is more likely to trust you as a woman. most girls already have minds biased against men.

It means that some men have serious problems relating to/engaging with their families and most women don't seem to. And before anyone tells me it has to with natural inclination, it does not. Before a child is born, neither parents know how to be parents. They learn, they adapt, they grow, and most importantly, they take an interest in their children's interests. We fail to hold husbands and fathers accountable in involving themselves in the family life and then promptly make excuses for them. Enough. If you brought a child into this world, then you can raise that child.
