I will first give you the spiritual aspect before the real conversation to
indeed prove to you that divine favour does exist in this kind of situation.
I through this thread read so many genuine cases being turned down and i decided
to seek the face of God regarding my own interview.
I'm a worker in RCCG and the Lord asked me that what do i wear that connects me to
RCCG?
I replied that it was the bow tie i often wear when I go to preach on Sundays and the
instruction was to wear it on the day of the interview.

I took it along despite my wifes' disapproval that its meant to worn when i preach.

I passed the night in the redeem camp since I reside in Osun state, spent half an hour
at the alter praying and committing the rest of the journey and the interview in the hands
of God.

This isn’t Christianity, it is idolatry coupled with superstitious nonsense. Your tie did not give you added advantage neither did your altar prayer. You are a citizen of Russia... the fact that you have deliberately chosen to work and live in Nigeria, rather than emigrate to Russia since you could, makes you far less of an immigration risk than other applicants.

good point, but then why take chances of future denials having being refused the first time? the more times you are refused the more your chances to get the visa decline. By going through this thread i had my doubts as i had dubai as my only travel history for the last 5 years, i had already planned for UK instead as they look at documents to determine your approval or not, but i had already submitted my DS 160 form a month before I stumbled on this thread. I just had to go so as not to waste my 64k.

by the time you come back next time to reapply they already have your previous transcript and will surely refer to it , well no harm in trying but just make sure that everything is tidy on your own end before applying.

Dont get this part... I already have a US visa... and I got it against all odds... been to the US and back too wink

Good day all

I am currently applying for a B1/B2 visa. My intended travel date is August 13 and the next available apointment date on their website is around July 30.

The issue now is I currently have 9 months left on my passport (exp Feb 2019) and so will be left with just 7 months by the time I will be interviewed.

I intended renewing my passport but was told I could only do so within 6 months to the date of expiry. I then checked the Nigerian Immigration website and found I could apply for renewal even if passport validity is more than 6 months.

1. Will the time left (7 months by the time of the interview) on the passport reduce my chances or should I get another passport?

2. If I decide to renew, can I schedule an appointment with the current passport no. and go for the interview with both current and new passports?

3. Can I renew even though I still have more than 6 months? (Their website says I can but we know our people)

I am yet to submit the DS160 form but I've made payment using my current ppt no. I don't want to make any mistakes as I have been refused before (2014; 214(b)).

I'd really appreciate everyones advice and suggestions.

Thanks in advance smiley

Hello,

my uncle invited my dad, mom and 2 of my siblings to visit him and his family in the US on holiday this summer. He won a visa lottery long time ago and he has a good paying job over there but the visa was refused based on 214b, my uncle just ask me to book him appointment so that he can go into the embassy in Abuja to talk to them because he is presently in Nigeria and he plan to go back to the US the same time with my family ( Dad, mom and 2 siblings). He gave all his document for them to go with during the interview but the VO didn't check any of the document he provided than their passport. Please house i would like to know if this is possible before he spent money for flight to abuja because no available date in lagos for U.S citizen service but there is one in Abuja which i already chose for him.

Hello all,

I've read through this thread and I say Kudos to the creator. I work with a Greek Company here in Lagos and I've been offered a return ticket for my spouse and I to the states, the thing is we want to go with our two boys and we will be paying for their own tickets. For travel history, I've been to Greece before and my older son's been to Dubai and that's it. How can we go about this please, I need a bit of guidance as I've been rejected before in 2004 for not having strong family ties and now we all want to make this trip together.
Thanks in advance.

Your uncle should save his money. This isn’t Nigeria where you just barge into a government office as a “big man” to demand services for your kin. What is he going there to say? Do you know who I am?

You qualify for a visa on your own merit, not based on who your uncle is.

The whole family is been invited for summer by y uncle. To me it looks some how. Who will be their tie bk home? Not only that, they are four pple that one person want to host, even with his good job, USA no care and they will also think that y siblings might not come bk.
Why not your dad and mum apply first.

It is not possible for your uncle to go to the embassy and talk to them. He should not waste his flight ticket. The decision av been made by the VO.
Note that, if u book appointment for him, he has to pay to enable him pick available date. Why must u book appointment for him? He is not applying for visa now. If y uncle insist, tell him to call the embassy and table his issue. The thing I will advice u is that only y mum and dad should reapply again, then when they go and come bk y siblings can now apply. Parckage your parent well for next interview.

I was so frustrated with the US Visa process, that i was about to cancel my trip until i found a review for this company https://usimmigrationforms.com/ I called the office and i called and spoke with consultant, who was so helpful and walked me through the process and saved me a trip 4 hour drive. We received our visas in about a weeks time!

Truth of the matter is he can't stand before a VO and say: "I got this Visa because I connected to God through my bow tie . In fact he would remember the scripture that says: "Wisdom is profitable to direct" and would quietly collect white paper and dissappear from the Embassy.

Na we good to hear story about bow tie. Next time make he first tell the VO. I case my rest.

I will advise u to just apply as family vacation for summer. Rather than telling the VO that y company gave u return ticket. (This is to avoid unnecessary questions) just apply as family.
Get ready to answer some questions from VO like: Av u gone on family vacation before?
First, u schedule y appointment for 4 of u, fill the DS-160 very well, book hotel reservation, give a good profile of your work and yr wife own. Prepare for the interview. All d best

Hello All,

I'm attempting to renew my US visa with the dropbox program. I did this once two years ago, but did it myself. Now, I wanna get someone to do it for me as I'm not available at the moment. Deal is, I can't remember if I had to sign anything at the DHL office the last time I renewed the visa and so needed to be there myself. You think someone can help submit all the docs at the DHL without issues? I'll just do everything online here and send the docs to someone else for submission at DHL office?

Of course yes I asked her and this is what she gave me me
Her: Good morning
Vo: with a big smile Good morning . Passport pls
Her: she handed over her passport her invitation letter the copy of my American passport and that of my wife.
Vo: where in the United States are you going?
Her; Jacksonville Fl
Vo: how long are you staying
Her: 3weeks
Vo: what do you do and what’s your monthly income
Her: I work with Luth as an accountant and I make 134k
Note: she put 410k because of her bizness while filing the d 160 form but failed to explain to the vo.
Vo: smile
Have you travelled before?
Her: yes I have been to Dubai for 9days
Vo: typing and hand her the blue paper .
She asked me to resend the letter and notarize it for her again so she can apply again in September. What do you think is wrong ?

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by monchat(m): 6:32am On May 18, 2018
She was denial beacuse of not given the extact monthly amount she put in her DS-160 application. And the amount she earns is small for an accountant, Atimes some of the VO evaluate base on this. She was the one that made the mistake, she could av just called the amount she put in the form for the VO. No need of explaining bc the VO does not check any document. She can only explain when the VO request for the payslip and sees her net pay, she can then explain to the VO she has additional income that she get from her business and state the amount. That is why I encourage applicants to explain, not just stand there and give short ans, explain, there is room for explanation ,the vo will not know if u d'nt explain. She was denial beacuse of her work profile. Let her work on it.

Secondly what the VO requested from her was passport not invitation letter, She could av not handed the invitation to the VO immediately. If the VO wants to see it ,she will request for it. Atimes this VO d'nt check letter of invitation.

My advice let her put the total amount she earns monthly that is 410. If she is asked then she explain. If no question on that let her keep quiet. Since is 410 she wrote in her DS-160, she can explain, that the last time she said 134 instead of 410, then she can now explain the additional income.

Then for that 3weeks let her make it to be 2weeks for vacation. She is taking part of her annual leave for vacation to visit her brother or sister. I just hope the VO will not ask her much questions about u ,especially the changing of y status.

Then next time when she is asked where she is visiting in the USA let her mention the state and the city not just the city. Eg. Where in the USA are u going? I am going to Florida, Jacksonvillecity.
All the best to her.

Of course yes I asked her and this is what she gave me me
