My husband is in the best position to say the things that have changed since we got married. I notice though that I have become more responsible as I more or less run the house. I have many people to take care of now. Brain is constantly working! I don't carry my make up kit everywhere I go unlike before. My cousin actually pointed this out and we laughed over it. I don't attend all the parties in town anymore. In fact I run away from friends who may distract my attention from keeping the home front. I have grown more flesh, you know getting round and rounder. I have been too busy, too lazy to bother. There are always seemingly more important things to do. I have become more religious. I am afraid I now run a routine of home, work, church and home, arrrgh! I treat people's misconduct with more leniency these days. Before I was a lion who is ever ready to pounce. Now I give a long rope or just look away. O pay yin! My husband is now more organized. I don't have to help him look for vests and boxers anymore. I am happy I was able to change that about him He also doesn't keep late nights anymore. You know, role model things. You've got to be careful around the kids. His accounting skills has improved considerably, he used to be a spendthrift. Marriage is a sweet experience if you find the right buddy to journey with. Been married less than a year,soo still working out the kinks... We didn't court long before hitching the wagon so let's say we began really knowing each other after settling down... Hubby's a good man with a poisonous tongue when he thinks you screwed up...that hasn't changed... He can keep malice for Africa but since the baby came, he has reduced malice keeping from 5 days to 48hrs...e go hard to be vexing for person wey dey nurse your beautiful boy la....  I was always a planner, still am, but much faster now...I used to dawdle and procrastinate but am now becoming a do it right now person... I still hate housework but have to do it... He's an exercise freak, me just escaped laziness cos I'm naturally flexible so I fit carry contortion deceive someborri... :p We are broker now cos I'm on unpaid maternity leave and his business isn't that great but we believe light's at the end of the tunnel...he has begun gambling which annoys me terribly...  All in all, I'd say my marriage so far is bittersweet. Hopefully we still got years to improve on ourselves and drop any undesirable characters.  10 Likes |

Marriage is only sweet if both of you are friend . Friendship implies both of your share highly similar ideology and philosophy with this, both of you will be able to adapt easily to changes that usually occur in marriage !!! Financial sustainability is a good oil for happy marriage nonetheless and promote lifetime friendship !!! |
