I doubt, more doctors will always flood the Nigeria labour market. The demand for labour will always be below the supply for labour as far as many Nigerians see investment in human capital as a way of alleviating future poverty. So there ain't no fear.

Is the Boldened your personal theory?

In reality Nigerian doctors are fleeing nigeria in mass due to low pay. Even my cousin and others I know who are doctors are running away. So I think I believe the statistics the OP stated.

I'm analyzing it from an economic perspective.

angry cry yes it's only in Nigeria where building a first class hospital is now a rocket science ,what stop FG having a well equipped First Class hospital in six geopolitical zone of the country to join the already existing ones so as to stop medical tourism and pay the health workers well OR partner with the private sector to build such and subsidize health bill for citizen instead of oil SMH

It is normal for people to seek for greener posture. Every year hundred of thousands of professionals leave India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Eastern Europe to US and Canada in Search of better life.

Sometimes the supply that would rise to meet demand would be inferior products. In this case quack doctors.

It's a win win situation for Nigeria because they would get better exposure and transfer knowledge back. For instance, Cedar crest hospital in Abuja where Buhari's son was managed is owned by a Nigerian doctor that spent 10 years working with the NHS after which he invested resources back into the country and built a nice hospital.
Secondly, There major problem is not lack of doctors but the poor infrastructure, abysmal health sector funding, non functional primary healthcare and underutilised health insurance scheme.

Its even more better for all of them to migrate to another country which the Nigeria government will see as a brain drain for our health sector, which will in turn make them do something about the issue, right now they are not feeling the impact.

So after relocating to paradise ,you are writing epistles to discourage others from joining you.
Kolewerk!
PLAB, USMLE and other foreign exams on point.

Nigeria doesn't need medical doctors.
After all nobody even appreciates them.
Patients and other health workers including cleaners are fighting them.

I implore every medical doctor to gather resources and leave this country...
God bless you.
I am a lawyer and I am on my way out already.
See you in paradise

Please can we chat via mail, pm, anything. I am a lawyer too and I need certain info from you.

If the doctor care about Nigeria why then did he leave. He should not worry about Nigerians. Our pastors are really doing a good job. They have thought us how to repel sickness and live in divine health.

Doctors and nurses have been living the country for the last 20 years or so, but due to cheap cost of training, universities keeps churning out more graduates of health sciences. The system kinds of refill those leaving with new entrants.

Who wants to practice in a country, that does not invest throughly in its health sector?

Wage structure is like working as a lion and eating like an ant........

Underappreciated, lack of fulfillment, nothing works etc etc etc

Don’t mind that one. He has probably been denied visa one too many times, so he’s now bitter and claiming false patriotism.

What is good about Nigeria?
