Must you give birth to that wonderful kid in the US?
We Nigerian parents usually think that if our kids are not born in G8 countries, go to the "best" schools or practice a certain profession then they will NEVER be successful.

This is so wrong. There are many examples to counter that and I tell my kids the same. If you were denied don't force it let God have his way whether your unborn child is born in the USA or in Iyana Ipaja believe he is already a miracle.

Hello The best thing is to let some time pass, and apply again when you think your ties are stronger. If asked, be forthright about the previous misrepresentation. It will make a big difference.

simple! Okay? When next u have the opportunity to speak to a Visa Officer, Let he/she know you don't have the child u claimed to be in U.S

And to the bolded please, you can apply for Canada at anytime, just be sincerely with your previous U.S refusal.

Don't be scared, the next visa officer may grant you, just tell them the truth.

Misrepresentation makes it more difficult to get a visa. If you read back, you'll see folks that were later issued visas. But that was before this administration and best believe, they are mean now.

Advice. Avoid Canada until u sort out the US ish. And don't be in a hurry to rush back to the US embassy either. Use the next year to visit other countries. UK. France. Spain....
NB. For the future, even if you can't correct the form, your should own up at the interview. That was an option you didn't take. Again, preparing you for your next interview.

Thanks a lot for the responses and thanks to those who contributed too. I wouldn't want to implicate him by sending the voice note to CIC but I have registered my displeasure and asked for a refund also making it clear that the form was something I and my hubby could have done ourselves just that we were novice and followed the trend of (everyone around uses agents).
