Thanks sir @Master belling. Bit I have another thing to be cleared though I hav read almost all the pages of this and the previous threads but no clear to this.

In this point things involving married couple. Both need to have qualification n skills assessed by d relevant authorities and take english test too? If am d principal applicant, my wife's IELTS, age, qualification n Skil assessment will only add 5points t me and she will get no point on her own either , If my wife's is the principal applicant too, my age, IELTS, education n Skil assessment will giv my wife just added 5points as well? Did I understand it. Your analysis on the partner point is correct.

But does it mean dt f u didn't assess ur partner's qualification n skill, he /she wouldn't be allowed t join d oda t live n work in Australia. She is still eligible to join you, only thing is for her to provide evidence of English proficiency which is usually 30 in PTE or 4.5 in IELTS or letter from her school stating she was taught in english (this last option is usually subjected to CO's willingness), so I lean towards taking the English test

My wife is younger than I am, by her age, she is sure to get 30points on age, but she has NCE but has only taught in primary school for jst 2yrs
Unfortunately for a teacher NCE will not be recognized, more info https://www.aitsl.edu.au/migrate-to-australia

Me, by d time, I will b getting assessed by EA n finally writing my EOI, I estimated a yr, by den I will only get 15 in my age( 38 nw).I hv 10yrs job experience in line with my education qualification.(HND civil engineering).
one year is over stating the fact, you can be done in a 4 months will utmost dedication and fast track

I want t go for 489,o r 190 plz advice me more for who will b d principal and wht other helpful info. We e ready t write my English test, am also gathering my docs for assessment by EA.

best case scenario is for you to be the primary applicant

Hi Gurus,

Am about to start the Aussie journey, I already have positive assessment from Vetasssess and I want to put in for regional or state nomination, did my IELTS this weekend again because of the new cut of mark of 65, my question is we 3 in the family, but expecting an addition, do i include the baby being expected to make it 4 or leave the family at 3 and NOTIFY them after delivery of the child before issuance of the Golden document.

Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

You will have to proceed as family of three, baby has no details or document yet.
when you get your ITA, proceed with your application as normal,
Do not process your PCC and medicals.
when baby comes, inform CO, go for medicals and process PCC.

adding baby is free.

Please house, what can be done if one enters a wrong ANZSCO code and assessment status is already stating "with Assessor"?

Also, what can be used as further proofs, for some job references submitted from companies that paid salaries in cash?

Please assist with my husband's job anzsco code. I have searched their site and I don't seem to know what occupation he falls into. He studied electronics and electrical engineering. he worked as a field service engineer for 6 years and has worked as a regional technical officer for a year still in the same establishment. Their company manages the power aspect of telecommunication masts etc.

Please help a sister. Oga has decided that this PR thing is my headache.....

He has 2 options here, either he plays as Electrical Engineer or he goes with Electronics Engineer.

Both are individual occupation on the skilled migration list, all he need do is visit www.anzscosearch.com to check the job description of both occupations and chose the one that best suite the roles he has undertaken during the employment periods.

Noteworthy, is the fact that Electronics Engineers are on pro rata for invitation and require higher points to stand a chance (everyone literally requires higher pots these days) kiss

Pro rata implies that invitation are issued bi-weekly at equal numbers such that the available spaces in such occupations don't run out withing 2-3 month of starting a new immigration year. That aside, this occupations have a huge amount of applicants that it becomes impossible to satisfy them, and thus, applicants with higher skill based points are invited first notwithstanding when lower point Applicants entered the pool. These occupations are hot cakes (such as: Mechanical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Accountants, ICT professionals etc.)

They have even made the average points for all occupations seeing invitation these days go higher at a whooping 75points, and Department of Home Affairs has now increased the minimum point for invitation to 65 this year from 60 last year. Hopefully when invitation rounds resume again this year at higher numbers being invited 70 pointers will have a shot too.

Trust is that your claim and job description is totally different from an Agricultural Scientist. It's only a trick what you get to see as the JD of agricultural scientist on their anzcosearch site.

Before you can qualify for an Agricultural Scientist, you must be a graduate of Crop Science or Animal Science.

Thanks trastar for the quick response. How much do you think a family of three would pay?

Principal Applicant- 3670*288=1,056,960
Partner- 1800*288=518,400
Dependent child- 900*288=259,200
(288 was the exchange rate as at April)

About N1,834,560.
This is cost of Visa alone.

My sister, we are in this together. Please let's roll together. My Oga also thinks it's my headache . As a matter of fact, I've been doing 70% of the thing. The only thing is work experience in lack in my field will hinder me from being the principal applicant. Kindly let's roll together. My hubby too studied Electronics and Computer Engineering and has been working for close to 7 years now

Hello house,

Please help a brother.

I have been reading the Engineers Australia MSA booklet (on their website) on how to get assessed but I'm getting confused now.

1) I have B.Eng Electrical Eng from Nigeria and MSc Electronic and Electrical Eng from UK. Which do I apply for assessment? The highest qualification which is the MSc or both? Will my schools need to send my transcript directly to EA?

2) If I have to do assessment for B.Eng, which pathway do I apply through? I know that of Msc is Washington Accord.

3. Will my CV and reference letters from previous employers suffice for the work experience?

Please I need a brief summary of documents to provide to get assessed.

Thanks all.

Good Morning Aussie Fam!

I have been in Sydney for a while now and I am loving it. Just in case you coming this way (Sydney) and you need the following (see below) be sure to holla at me.

1. Airport pickup
2. A church to attend, I currently attend House of Grace Ministries, with a wonderful Nigerian pastor, a couple of Nigerians and more than a handful of other African Nationals and other nationals as well.
3. Someone to look and book accommodation for you before you arrive (of course you bear the cost grin ). Granny flats, shared houses with single rooms etc.
4. Some one to ask questions: think where to buy some African food, shops, the mall, job search tips (not job ooo, biko). etc
5. Currency exchange. Some Naira or USD to AUD.

I also have some friends in Queensland and Perth for those headed that way. Hopefully they can help, fingers crossed.

Can't wait to welcome you.
Whatapp number: 07014516254. Yes my Nigerian Whatsapp number is still active until Airtel kicks me out.

Warms Regards!
Your fellow Aussie.

Thing is, company that pays in cash will most likely not have things like pension or tax certificate.
Include things like employment letter and any official document that connects you to the job with the company.
Or make a payslip yourself and have your employer sign it, certifying it as genuine remuneration you received while working with them.
Goodluck.
