July 2016: F1 visa approved.
July 2018: GC approved.
July 2018: Job offer accepted.

I'm now a legal permanent resident of this place... and I'm starting my job at progressive insurance on Monday 8/6 in the claims department. Not the best job in the world but I'd take $50k p.a. right now considering all I've been through lol. My second part-time job will earn me between $4h and $1k a month too so... not a bad start.

Now I can come back to NL and give advice like the old days to anyone who wants it. I don't remember the username of that guy who used to tackle me all the time with "body go tell you" posts. Baba, if you can read this, whether it's luck or not, I didn't encounter any of those scary things you predicted o.

Prospective NLers chasing the American dream, ask me whatever you need to know. Against all odds, I came here to study stupid course in a stupid school without any funding. 2 years later, it's all history. It took a bit of luck but who cares? I'm in a better place and that's what matters.

Don't let any keyboard warrior discourage you from chasing your dreams... keep sleeping! Lol.

Nothing is impossible.... I'd like to know more bro. I sent you a pm.

But it would be nice if you shared how you did it so that someone can learn.

share the major interview transcript so others going can also learn congrats

Here it goes guys.

ME: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning, Pass me your passport and I-20 please.

ME: (I pass the passport, I-20 and SEVIS)
VO: Ok. SO where are you going?
ME: I'm going to Little Rock, Arkansas for my Masters in Systems Engineering at University of Arkansas, Little Rock. I'll be specializing on Electrical systems, precisely Optimization of Power Systems.

VO: Ok good. What other schools did you apply to?
ME: University of Texas at El Paso.

VO: So did you get admitted?
ME: I'm still waiting on a decision. I applied for Spring 2019 so I'm yet to get a decision.

VO: Ok so what do you do now?
ME: I currently work with XYZ, a power distribution company as a systems operator. I've been doing that for close to four years now and in our daily operations, we face a lot of challenges like Power Systems Instability, Fault Location, Voltage Imbalance and many more. This is why I'm going for this program, as it will help me counter most of these challenges as I intend to model Power Systems and also optimize them thereby creating solutions to these challenges.

VO: (Makes an expression I didn't understand but I didn't let it move me sha though I was initially scared. lol) SO what courses are you offering?
ME: I'll be taking classes in Systems Analysis and Design, Systems Architecture and Design. Those are some of my core courses. And for my electives, I'll be taking classes in Power Systems Operations, Linear Systems Theory and a few other courses. I'll be taking 31 credits in all for this program.

VO: Oh wow. That's good. So who's your sponsor.
ME: My mom
VO: And what does she do?
ME: She's a civil servant and she runs a store, she supplies stationary to schools and a few printers.

VO: Did you take any Standardized Tests?
ME: Yes I did, I took GRE.
VO: What are your scores?
ME: Verbal: 152, Quantitative: 155 and 4.5 in Analytical Writing.
VO: Wow, Impressive.
ME: (I smile, still scared a bit at this point because I felt she was just reeling me)

VO: So do you have your personal bank statements here?
ME: No, I have my mom's. She's sponsoring my program.
VO: Can I see it?
ME: (hands over the statement)
VO: Is this a corporate account?
ME: No It's her personal account. But she runs her business with it.
VO: OK (hands it back to me). Wait, what about funding? No funding?
ME: Well, Dr. Jing said there won't be funding available for this academic calendar but the second year looks positive. And since my mom is sponsoring, I wasn't worried about the funding.
VO: Oh Ok.

(all the time, she kept typing...and that was what was getting me worried...like...what are you typing)

VO: I'm happy to...(bla bla bla bla, sincerely I didn't hear anything again)
ME: (I saw the white paper being circled and I was just so damn happy but I tried to keep my composure)
VO: You can pick up your passport at xyz on Monday. And pls go with your sevis and I20 to the port of entry. Congratulations!
ME: Oh ok...Thank You Very much.
VO: Have a good day.
ME: HAve A Great Day! (Kept my white paper in my folder before I turned back sef, I doubt anybody saw me getting a white, I was too excited that I went blank and didn't even know how to act).

* I'm grateful to this thread though, going through approved and failed transcripts really helped me prepare BUT IN ALL, IT WAS GOD. SO PLEASE CONNECT WITH GOD, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO. All the best!*

One way or the other, what will happen will happen.

Either you show how you did it or you don't.

People doubting you doesn't make them hypocrites. Simply means they need to know more. If you are willing to share in the spirit of the thread, then do. If you are not, then stop disturbing the thread by calling people hypocrites and showing off.

Secondly, if he doesn't want to be public and is willing to share, it could be done via PMs. But he responds by calling people who sent him PMs hypocrites - which I see as unfair, whether or not he was criticized by them.

bro for me i would say your response are just too weak and sound generic esp the why this school you didnt connect your course to why you chose the school and what it would to for you as a person there are lot more social work can do aside helping abused children. Try going through the approved transcript of one of us here going for social work check frm page 400 till date. The gurus can also say better goodluck on your next interview.
