After seeing that movie acrimony, the Tough me felt like crying; Iean I could relate with everything, and it teaches a very huge lesson to the female folks..
Obviously the man has No blame at all, he did all every reasonable man in his shoes would have done... The man really has No blame, he is a very good man. My kind of man...

My brother, u should see that movie, Tyler Perry killed it on this one... Your life isn't complete if u don't see that movie... It teaches a whole lot, especially to the female folks... The man "Roberts" is a very gold man with a lovely heart, he really had no blame on this one, and did everything a reasonable man in his shoes would have done... Lovely movie.

Robert had no fault.he was fair ok only that it took a long time to achieve his dream. What pained ' cookie ' was seeing her ex husband enjoying the luxuries with the lady he cheated on her with which made her react by slamming her car against his van and she lost her womb thru that. She could av walked away and moved on. She was a bitter, unforgiving and dangerously desperate.

That movie is dope

If you watch the movie non-judgementally with an open mind, both of them are to blame but the lady has the most blame. The man ignored little things he should have been doing while in the relationship. He was a bit selfish, he shouldn't have ignored little things he could have done to make the wife happy while broke.
There's both short term dream and long term dream. While working on his batteries, he could have support his home with some side jobs too, his own only worries was his batteries and batteries alone leaving all burden on the wife working two, three jobs.
He could have also showered more love to his wife while at it. So many things to learn from the movies.
The film also tells us that being a good man or good woman doesn't mean you'll reap the dividends of being good.

U re on point man, initially i was blaming d guy 4 not doing anything in supporting his home while working on his project bt at d end lady couldn't continue, so she opt out and at d same time she wants to eat her cake and av it back. I learnt to be modest 4rm dis film coz if they are nt showing off on d internet maybe they might av nt ended up in dat way....my opinion though

Thank you! this is exactly one of my points. he never for once attempted to get a side job to help his wife doing two jobs! ...which can a toll on women. imagine a woman doing two jobs she will definitely be stressed n get older than her age. under this same condition ...I blame Taraji Henson for not forcing her husband to get a side job. how can be one be working on battery
for more than 12years. Even when he was given an opportunity to showcase his work at d veri end. I witnessed that he doesn't even hv a prototype that the company can work wit n start from there. so what was he working on for so long?!.

secondly, one of the comments up there which I read started that she was obsessed with the guy n should hv left him be. she has sacrificed enough to enjoy the rest of her life with him. Imagine she lost her womb coz the guy was cheating on her with anoda lady. (I know yu might say it was her anger that coz that nt the guy) but ask yourself 2 questions ...(1) if the guy wasn't cheating woud she have done wat she did?! (2) if it wasn't dat she really loved the guy don't you think she would hv gotten a gun to kill him or get a knife to stab or cut his dick off ... its not like you don't read d news ...girlfriends cut off dick of cheating boyfriends anyhow nowadays!
Instead Taraji did not shoot him or cut his dick off but smashed his sleeping truck ..which we all know that that cannot kill him.

thirdly, this is a general question! ... put yourself in the shoes of Taraji Henson _wont you have given up on his battery after such a long time after all your family hv been against you from the beginning n you hv been working two jobs n also been ever faithful to a husband who hv cheated before ...won't you have also given up after 16yrs being in that marriage ah ahnn! think am nau!

fourthly, even though I blame both of them for having faults in their actions n inactions I still ponder on to blame Taraji more for not killing the guy n the lady n thereafter kill herself ...so that God will judge them n not us here on nairaland!

but what can we say ...it is a movie ... a brilliant one in fact. Tyler Perry made an ace on this one.

I'm totally with you on this. And what really pissed me was letting her know he couldn't get a job due to his past record of felony after graduation. I swear, if it was me, I'd have left immediately.
She was just too naïve and in love while the guy was manipulative
