not to rain on your parade, the americans pay little regard to invitation letters, even if na trump or obama write am, your application is reviewed on merit, ie if you have strong ties to naija or not..

I mean which Embassy will tell Trump that the applicant does not have ties so they cannot grant him a Visa?

Don't stress yourself out with getting documents. The visa officers hardly look at the piles of documents we bring because they believe we can forge them.

Focus on what you say with your mouth

The most important document for you is your bank statement, all other ones would likely not be looked at.
You can get some documentation from your host for poe, but I don't think it's necessary for the interview. Just have general info about your host handy...address, what they do, their status etc.

as per your chances, only the VO knows, hope you have travelled to countries in the west b4?..or good countries with strong visa policy?...dont use an agent, fill ur form and apply..its ur 54k u go loose, las las, most nigerians hv at 1 time or the other been debied usa visa, so its no biggie, even atiku the now present elect was denied

I had my interview last month and was denied. .. I choose b1/b2 has visa type

Pls my question is which 1 shud someone going for tourism shud choose

First thing first, you need to understand the class of visa you are applying for. Although they are mostly combined together B1/B2 when you apply for a visit (tourism) choose B2 in the DS-160 form and the appointment scheduler. Once you are issued a visa, in majority of the cases, you will be granted a B1/B2. However in some cases you are only granted one class either B1 or B2. That happens when they give short term visas like a conference or when VO is 50/50 on your application.

I am a Programmer. C/C++ and Embedded Systems is my Major, i am Nigerian too.
I just have a question, I got a conference invitation for Lungs Cancer for next year 2019 in Texas , USA now being a programmer (Tho i have knowledge of some Medicals) Do you think its wise i Apply for a US Visa for the US on this grounds??

I don't know what class of visa that may be but it won't be B1/B2 visa. And also be rest assured that whatever visa you will be issued will be annotated for the exams and the location you will be in and most likely only for the duration of the exams even if it is days.

it's only a question mate He sef wan run like you, if not wetin you day fine for travel section
@Obernix, I suggest you get a conference related to your skill, or look for a school. Tons and tons of them use WAEC /Neco, you can enter change state and go to another school or do something else that benefits you, who knows.
