Bokoharam in making tongue.. Yorubas should be careful not to attract extremist, the moment they succeed things won't be the same...
I always say this: if there is going to be extremists, boko haram and almajiri in Yoruba land, It is going to start in Ibadan. That city will be the headquarters of religious extremism in Yoruba land. Despite that Islam is strong among the Ijebu people and Yoruba of Lagos, religious tension is absent. Even Muslim dominated city of Ilorin is moderate and tolerant.

When it comes to religious activities members from both religions will protest but you will never see them protest against bad governance.

Are Nigerians cursed?
Are they religiously blind that they don't want to experience a good life till they die?

MURIC as a body should remember that Nigeria does not (and will not) belong to only muslims. The division in societal ideals been currently carried out by this body is becoming a display of hidden agenda to islamize the country.Muric have not condenmed El rufai for his muslim muslim ticket and yet peace loving christians have not taken to the streets.instead of fighting poor education falling standards in the country they have made Hijab an issue.Yoruba Land is not North and wearing of hijab contradicts theword UNIFORM

Today, see the picture below.

What type of government were we praticing then ?
Meanwhile, the clown you posted his picture was beaten from head to toes during the electioneering period.

The school is a government public school as such it should allow use of Hijab as freedom of religion is enshrined in the Nigeria constitution.

The school authority can't win this battle legally.
Are you insinuating that freedom of religion means a school is not entitled to determine its own uniform or that every stutent should be allowed to wear different religious clothing or insignia to class?

The constitution says Nigeria is a secular state, not an Islamic or christian republic. Check up the meaning of secular.

You people (Muslims) seem to be very aggressive and tend to impose your religion on everybody. No wonder Trump wants to ban Muslims from coming to the US. Soon you will start demanding Muslim girls must wear Hijab or Burka ( as you guys are demanding in France) to class as an expression of freedom of religion.

There are many schools that permit the use of Hijab as part of their School uniform, if Hijab is the most important part of education according to you, why not enroll your girls in such school?

When something is called international, it means it's for all, not for section..... Are you saying if Arabians comes there, they must unveil their hijab because some sect of people don't like it.

What damages has Hijab caused or what differences has it makes to the knowledge been acquired from the school?

The "international" refers to academic standards and not cultural/religious benchmarks. Be guided please.

Because we intellectually lazy to domesticate religion and education for our use
doctokwus:
In core Arab countries, they are gradually de emphasing the use of Hijab because of its security implications and the fact that wearing it adds no special value to Islam or the individual wearing it.
Here, people are trying to enforce what Islamic countries that they imported Islam from are trying to phase out.
The irony.

Well you are right, one need to move away from head slammers, those who gods who slammed their heads and those who hail those that slams their heads

Exodus 34:8
And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped.

2 Chronicles 20:18
Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the LORD

Matthew 26:39
"And he (jesus) went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."

Psalm 138:2
I will bow down toward Your holy temple And give thanks to Your name for Your loving kindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.

you people have introduced hijab in so many christian schools, mission schools built by Anglican, Catholic, Methodist and other ! why cant you people avoid christian mission schools as Area Scatter!! they are now using it to bomb!

Go to Iree in Osun where Iree Poly is situated. These people fought and fought until they built a mosque on the Baptist Grammar School compound. They claim that the Christian Students have a chapel. A chapel that was built with the school in 1956 or 58 when the school was built by the missionaries.

They claim that their children too need a mosque to worship.

There was a serious fight for almost a year until the King had to beg the Baptist Convention to give them a portion to build their mosque.

When the land was given they built one jagajaga mosque there ( you know they don't have taste before now) After about a year they without consulting the School authority expanded the portion given to them with a new Fence and after doing that they rented part of it to one of their members for a Car Wash. Right in front of a Christian School.

The question is Can this fools allow a Christian Fellowship Center to be built on the land of a Muslim school like Anwar-Islam of Anwar- deen .

If you doubt my claim go to Iree in Osun state the school is on the major road , ask of Baptist Grammar school and right in front of it is the Mosque.

Islam is the major weapon the Devil will finally use to destroy this world.

It is not part of the uniform of the school. period.

This is just barbaric for a school that has been in existence for decades. The present crop of parents have suddenly woken up to the necessity of hijab.

How will the wearing of hijab help their children academically? I have a very strong believe that this is being sponsored by mischief makers and the parents are foolish enough to swallow the bait.

What a shame!

Not to sound tribalistic here but when people say SW cannot be divided by religion, I laugh. In the South East, it is an accepted fact that Islam is an anethema (doesn't mean those who wear hijabs are harassed but this trying to change school uniform rules by parents of a certain religion won't happen).

Before the Osun saga, there have been news of a little bit of extremism in OAU or so by MSSN members and how they are law unto themselves. There have been other news that keeps pointing to Islam bringing about issues where there were none. Now, if this isn't checked, I wonder what will happen in the future.

So because it is called international, every student must wear his or her religious garb to class? That means an Indian student that attend any "International School" must be allowed to wear an Hindu Turban, so also a Sikh Boy and a Jewish boy.
