I see you guys don't understand the purpose of the election boycott.
The boycott is supposed to pass a message to the whole world and Nigeria.

Voting in elections is a democratic duty, a civil responsibility which every citizen that loves his/her country must participate in to decide the fate of the country.

Now what message does it pass if a whole region stays out of voting, remember voting is a civic duty every patriot must do.

And Trump not Israel promised us referendum, and we both know Trump as someone who fufils is promises - but first; we must show we are tired with Nigeria and no longer patriots.

Trump never promised us a Referendum and Israel Netanyahu has told Nnamdi Kanu to get ready for showdown if Biafrans are ready for independence.

I am telling you from classified information.

Buhari is not a democrat and will never be. He is extremely desperate for power.

He ran 4 times and lost 3 out of the 4 times. Every time he lost, he always called for violence. Remember in 2011 when he called for violence after he lost and over 800 people were killed in the North.

Another is the issue of underage voters in the North and citizens of Niger and Chad voting. This is well documented.
Can you tell us the party the underage voted for in 2015?

Well time will tell but know that INEC is not independent nor reliable. If you think it is then look at Edo, Ekiti and Osun state elections under this current INEC. The way it was conducted was so corrupt on so many levels.

Anyway I hope i am wrong with the first prediction.
Because PDP didn't win this elections?
I guess only elections that PDP is allow to rig and win that is now free and fair in Nigeria.

Do you see Yorubas all queuing blindly behind Gani Adams or any pan-Yoruba leader?

So if I speak against Adams, which I have done before, my fellow Yorubas can use that to conclude I am not Yoruba? It sucks to be Igbo because you discriminate even within yourselves and no one is allowed to have their own mind or independent thoughts. One way or the highway people.

Don't even know why Yorubas should waste time talking to you. OP appeared reasonable but soon unravelled as just another common hater and unrepentant bigot. You lot are a waste of time.

@OP.

You have some good points and I endorse your call for Igbos to look inwards towards the SE because being one of the most industrious ethnic groups in Africa means it is arrant stupidity for you guys not to develop the SE optimally to then be dragging the ancestral homes of others with the indigenes there.

Britons can buy retirement homes in the Algarve in Spain and in quaint Villages in France to the extent those feel like outposts of the UK as I am sure Amuwo Odofin in Lagos feels to some igbos. Yet that development has not come at the detriment of developing London or other UK towns only for Britons to then brag ungraciously of owning/developing this and that.

You must remember Nigerian ethnic groups relate to each other much like nations do worldwide because of different cultural, linguistic and ethnic differences that produces a lack of homogeneity we cannot bridge overnight and must work to improve.

Going up and down claiming to own this and that will therefore not be received well merely because we are all Nigerians when our real differences and unresolved issues make this a poorly accepted concept in practice on the ground.

With your prediction of economic woe under Buhari post 2019, I don't agree . We are not in control of all indices of economic growth and progress but with hardwork, and some luck with global conditions favouring us, recovery can be attained to then pave way for a boom period of growth.

The claim of economic incompetence by Buhari is just ignorance because PMB has many intelligent and very competent economic advisors who will be guiding him. What they cannot do is defy oil price crash, with the Nigerian economy mainly dependent on that, or repair damage of 16 long years of PDP misrule in 3.5 years.

You should tell us how long it took many western nation to come out of the credit-crunch recession of 2005-2006 with the likes of Greece still struggling with serious unemployment and other woes till today. Nigeria , unlike many other nations, essentially had no buffers to shield it from the economic downturn that began as soon as PMB took over.

It has to be all hands on deck and not ignorant blame game over inevitable economic downturn this government did not cause, could not avoid and does not have the tools to liberate Nigeria from as quickly as economic novices are postulating it can/should.

Spot on analysis.

Biafra is a collective consciousness in all Igbos, anyone that speaks against it on this forum is not Igbo to me, It's not my business how you talk to your pan-yoruba leader, Igbo And Yoruba is not the same.

Well show ideological commitment to your Biafra then. Dont mouth it every minute only to then be happy to live in and make money in the North and SW you say is full of people who hate you and are preventing you getting Biafra. I dont think I need to point out what this makes you and your kinsmen.

I've never said SW is preventing us from getting Biafra, I don't think anyone has said it too; What I always see people write and it's true - at least in this forum is that Yorubas don't want us to secede, they are always the first to jump in and tell us how impossible it is.

At this time of War by Bokoharam against Nigeria, how and why could FIVE YORUBA GENERALS be so recklessly REMOVED from The Military without explanations from any of Fashola, Tinubu and Osinbajo? Can't The Yorubas see through these The Real Buhari's Personal Objectives of Nigeria?

Well try harder through political and legitimate means because modern Yorubas won't stand in your way. The old 'one Nigeria' lot like Obasanjo may but they are dying so continue with your agitation. Yet I will tell you that nothing gains you greatest traction in life better than putting your money where your mouth is.

Do what the Chinese did, when they closed rank and chose to build a new nation from within. Sacrifice, go back to the SE and define your own Biafran way of life. Even the old fearful 'one Nigeria' crew will have no choice but to take you seriously to hand you Biafra. Quickest way in my opinion.

Ojukwu tried similar and may have succeeded without embracing the bloody option. Trust me, a silent revolution of economic and physical relocation of Igbo asset to the SE, including her people, will work. Yet are you guys willing to make the sacrifice which will certainly hit your pocket?

If not give the rest of us some peace because Kanu's hate preaching and you disturbing us daily on Nairaland is not the way forward.

My advice to igbos
1) Think home. Focus on industrialization and site your industry in the east so as to cut migration of your youth as result of poor jobs
2) Grab whatever opportunity you have to secede the country with both hands

OP seems reasonable but I feel sorry for him because it is belligerent empty barrels and self-destructive haters like you who will continue to get and keep the Igbos in trouble with other Nigerians.

Look, modern Yorubas don't give a damn. As a peaceful and progressive people who have now had to pragmatically develope tough skin because of the reality of Nigeria , we can do this either way.

We are ready to fight you hate for hate if you think you can match or better us with that approach as your kind favour .

Or we can work with progressive pragmatism such as OP proffers. Your call because either way we are not slowing down or losing focus of what we want and where we want to get to.

what a way to achieve your "solution driven society"

"we are ready to fight you hate for hate"
lol.. its obvious our own generation in this country is already a failed one.
yet we have education. 2019, despite the fact that education is suppose to have made us relate a lot with people outside our own ethnic group, we are still doing
"we are ready to fight you hate for hate"
lol...tragedy of a nation never meant to be.

good point, u see i have always told my friends that ibos marginalisation(as claimed) is their fault. cant say much about ibos at home(south) but those at north dont go out to vote. the only thing an ibo does on election day is to stay at home a wait untill the voting is over then come and open his shop. if only they would come out and vote then their voting strength would speak for them.

Bruv, the constitution gives every Nigerian assurance of living anywhere in Nigeria unimpeded. I can't speak for every region but that happens in the SW.

What the constitution does not tell you to do is go around offending the sensibilities of others. Why can you guys never understand this simple concept and modulate your behaviour accordingly?

Are the Lebanese not doing comparatively far better than Igbos in Nigeria with many of them actually holding full Nigerian passports and enjoying same privilege as you? Do you ever hear anything from them? It is not rocket science bruv.

As for PMB's economic team, I can conclude it will be mediocre to you unless Soludo or Okonjo Iweala is heading it. That will always be the Achilles heel of even the most reasonable Igbo. I.e a vainglorious and empty belief, based on nada, that only you and your kind can deliver.

Every nigerian has ancestral land (except nationalized foreigners). But because of greed for oil, the Nigerian government has technically stripped that away with the way the constitution was crafted. Last I checked, it wasn’t the igbos that designed the constitution.

I don’t support any igbo person dragging lagos with Yorubas online. I understand that it makes Yorubas feel bad. But the truth is that it’s the by product of one Nigeria. In order for Yorubas to fully get lagos the way they want, Nigeria has to cease to exist or Nigeria has to be restructured in a way that favors them over non-Yorubas(highly unlikely)

Finally the current state of the economy is proof that Buhari’s so called economic team has no idea what they are doing. Calling them mediocre is giving them too much credit.

When u know ibos do not depend on d govt and buhari govt is not affecting u people. Why are u crying foul. Saying yoruba is suffering from buhari govt is somehow funny. If yorubas are suffering to earn naira,do u ibos pluck money on d tree in ur village? Are we not under d same govt? If u beleive u do biz. Can only ibos be doing d buying and selling? If u believe u hate yoruba and other tribe,so if they come to u 4 biz,u will ignore them because of their tribe? If u are praying 4 yoruba to suffer in this govt,u are deceiving urself if u think it will not affect u ibos too. Let be sensible in our post

Buhari’s failed government is affecting everyone in Nigeria. But to different degrees. The average igbo man or woman is still living better than the average northerner or yoruba. Under Buhari poor economy, I have withnessed the construction boom in private real estate happening in Igboland. I can’t say the same for other regions except for lagos and Abuja. Igbos overall are economically better than the rest of Nigerians because over the years, they have developed lesser and lesser dependence of government.
