I think you need to clear things with him. Explain what went into the job and talk things over like men.

Someone that can link you to this one can link you to bigger ones. If you feel he's too demanding, tell him you appreciate him but this particular contract didn't bring much revenue for you.

If however, he insists on a greater percentage, give what you can afford. Remember, without him linking you, you won't have gotten that money.

As things stand now, he sees you as being greedy and you see him as being greedy. You guys need to talk.
