Olalekank:

Please do not use that WES own o
Just use the SAT alone. There should be schools that allow you to apply without having your WAEC at hand

The GPA is too low and if I was in the position of the professor reviewing your application, I might not take a second look at it
Thanks

sad You've totally misjudged me

Sorry if it comes out to you that you are being misjudged however, that was not my intention. I was only trying to state that you could do without stressing your opinion more. Sorry about how you feel once again.

Dear sir/ma, I need you help. I have been a silent follower for some time now. I have a very low GPA (1.88) in the waec I did years back, but I have a score of 1460 in the new SAT. I want to ask if I can get a full tuition scholarship with only SAT scores. All the schools I found so far requires a minimum of 3.0 gpa.

I think you have a great SAT score and I will suggest you find schools that do not stress much on High School GPA and gives an opportunity for you to write a statement of purpose. This way, you can explain why your WAEC isn't so great and how you have demonstrated you are ready for College through your performance in the SAT.

I don't know why I feel a bit interested in your case but I am willing to guide to the best of my ability. I have sent you a DM, kindly reply and we will take it up from there. Please no one should quote this.

My Niece had a j1 visa extension interview on 7/01/19 which was approved and told passport would be ready in 2-3 buisness days;
Unfortunately, the passport is yet to be ready and the website is still indicating “Administrative Processing”
No further documents were requested.
I have sent emails to us-traveldocs and lagosNiv without success.
Why is it taking this long?

OK! Now you're misunderstanding me. Here's my thought, imagine you want to get a data scientist post at Slack, an MSc degree is just enough man. Except you want to go into academia/research immediately, I honestly think a 5yr investment is not necessary man. I've read of an experience I think on the GRE thread where someone was regretting his PhD decision stating that his mates even dropped out. Except you're really patient and eyeing academia/research as a CS folk PhD isn't necessary.

I totally support this assertion. IF YOU'RE EYEING A NON-R & D CAREER IN THE TECH INDUSTRY, the only benefit the Ph.D. adds is more time for networking. Asides from that, a Master's in CS alone can take you to the very top.

Note the words in uppercase before someone misjudges me. For academia and tech R & D roles, a Ph.D. is necessary.

You can try to reach your high school tell them to make an Official and Unofficial transcript of your grades and assessments during your senior secondary school days and I think that would work. They might also convert your grades to American scoring system(you can also help them with this using google research) to avoid Wes which would require your WAEC result. And I think this should help with schools that only requests for unofficial transcript and you would be required to bring an official one while coming. You can try to make sure you gave the best reason for your low performance in your WAEC.(probably a essay about you on Common App) or where it would be indicated to tell more about your self or meet your counsellor.

Good day everybody, please I have a brother who wants to apply for a technical program in the USA at the Universal technical institute. The visa required would be an M1 visa for vocational students. Please I would like to know if M1 visa students can work on campus during the duration of the program. Google has been giving me inconsistent answers and I would really appreciate input from anybody that has info about this or is in the us and knows about this visa class wella. Thanks alot.

Good morning fam.

I was denied student visa December and January( 4 denials in total on my profile). I have deferred my admission to fall 2019. I have few challenges and I will like to table it for contributions and advise.

I am thinking of book an appointment as early April to avoid paying another $200 sevis fee as I was told it will expire a year after payment. The school resumes August 19 2019 and I don’t know if I can avoid paying another sevis fee by booking an early appointment because the current one will expire April 25, 2019. I am confused

My international passport will also expire by August 11, 2019 but this one is still under control.

Help me out on this please

An F-1 student visa can be issued up to 120 days in advance of your course of study start date, although you cannot enter until 30days before start date . meaning you can apply for visa only after Sunday, 21 April 2019 for that start date .

however it is not by applying , denied 4 times then you need to evaluate your whole application and see if something can be done better or improved upon .

Yes. Also, there is no guarantee he will get a date between 22nd and 25th of April since his sevis expires 25th of April. He can keep trying from now and see if he gets a date.

Is there a procedure, number, email, or what do we have to do? I have emailed the Abuja Consulate but i got a generic answer with non referring to this situation. Please help.
