Are you sure the simcard has been registered? If yes, be sure that there is 4G coverage for mtn in your area. The best way to be sure it is coverage issue is to set your network mode to 3g/2g to see if you have service on the mtn. If not you probably have problem with your simcard

Since you've tried several mtn simcards. You didn't specify whether all the simcards are 4G enabled or not
