Are you saying people shouldn't scream bull in a bear market?

If someone believes in Bonanza/bear or Bullish that is entirely up to them. You are not subscribing for anyone here, neither do you have any right to abuse anyone for their opinion. You have your opinion, every other person has theirs.

As for whether we are in a bull or bear, we can all see from the ASI what we are in, so what is your point?

No! I am telling you it's not okay to abuse people for their opinions. You can disagree, but abusing them for said opinions is not okay. For instance, when addressing you, did I abuse you? That is it.

@mcy56 is very correct !!

Here's what played out;
Globally, stock market platforms are configured in such a way that a LIMIT order(where u determine ur entry/exit price) automatically mirrors and switches to that of a MARKET order(where the market trade book determines ur entry/exit price) if and when ur limit price is >/= that of orders available at market for BUYS and </= that of orders available at market for SALES.
At N2.35 for FCMB, ur limit order was greater than that of market, so it will automatically mirror and switch to the orders at market(which are lower in price) until they are filled 1st, before ever it can capture that N2.35 price range.(depending on the quantity)
...what this means is that the X-alert message u got of trade execution at N2.07 is, and can only be the RIGHT one.

Btw, u may have made a mistake(as u said), but who knows... it just might actually be a blessing in disguise !!

Regards.
lmm4real:
I just mistakenly bought FCMB for 2.35 using Morgan, I thought I had ticked fidelity not knowing it was fcmb.
The thing is the transaction went through at that price, the equivalent of the transaction at 2.35 was deducted from my account, but the xalat that came to my phone showed that it was bought at the current market price 2.07, is this normal?

My dear I hope u can now see that what u termed a mistake (erroneously keying in to fcmb) is not a costly one after all !!
Sure u recall the part in bold above.
...at least u now have an option to exit with a small gain or at worse ur initial principal if u so desire.(given that u actually bought @ N2.07+ and perhaps ur BEP should compute less than N2.15)
That said, if anyone should seek for my opinion on whether to exit now, I would say an emphatic NO !! ...since FCMB at Friday's closing price of N2.15 is still very much UNDERPRICED. So the probability of inching higher in price can only be nearer to one than it would to zero. ...particularly in the short to mid term.
But that's just my view.
My advise: Follow ur instinct.

CAVEAT: NOT an investment recommendation. ...due diligence still applies pls.

If you see an opportunity today GRAB IT, it is not only important to identify an opportunity, but to be decisive and act on it. Some of us missed the opportunity of buying Access bank some few weeks ago btw 5.30 and 5.40 hoping it would become cheaper (maybe we should have bought some, and if it gets cheaper we would definitely have bought more), same thing played out with UBA last week. It's a trend that will keep going on and on, we've seen GTB at 31,Zenith at 20,Ucap at2.67,,Afriprud at 3.60,caverton at1.90,Dangote cement at 170, and so on, just this year and we are still waiting for them to get lower.

You are absolutely right sir, cos nothing has actually changed as regards it's fundamentals, however one may decide to exit if
(a) there is an insider information about a deteriorating fundamental (probably badQ4)
(b)you bought right before now and have made a good profit and one sees a cheaper stock with good fundamentals that would bring higher gain.

The point is that some persons who should be sitting beside @Anjil and Mcy in the classroom to listen and learn are always quick to talk.
I think if one is not a TA or FA, then listen.
Truth is that some people are here to learn and can mistakenly take such comments serious.

Ladies & Gents,

There are some monikers that no longer visit the forum to spy nor post comments. Even though it is a public forum, it calls for some concerns.

The outcome usually would be that newbies will start making grievous errors because of the noise within the forum. I hope before the AFS start rolling out, these guys would be active.

Combining the responses of 3 or 4 reasonable monikers is enough due diligence most times.. wink wink

The forum is not fulfilling it's professional role, for investors.

Nah. I don't see that happening at all. They have been carrying shell's offshore staff, lagos Rrs, nigerian air force and top vips including bill clinton with same type of aircraft for years with zero incident. They have the highest safety record in the Industry. Well I welcome a fall in the share price due to this news.

We are taking about the VP here, number 2 man in government.

They will be thoroughly investigated and there will be limited use of their Aircrafts, until the investigation is over.

Even multinationals will be sceptical about their operations.

It's not their fault. The VP need to be more careful. This is the second time in less than 8months he is escaping a crash. Someone urgently needs his seat. That's how former Kaduna gov. was overthrown.

The moment we start seeing and valuing humans as humans we will move forward as a nation, the accident could have involved anybody but the vp was unfortunate to be the one involved this time. ,.. But I still insist that if this issue leads to a revoke of license then no Nigerian company can become great in aviation.......We learn as humans from errors like this

There's NO course for alarm at all my dear.
...I can tell u without mincing words that nothing, absolutely nothing is going to happen !! It was just a minor mishap which is presently being 'sorted out'.
For those(investors) on board, HOLD on tight to ur shares, and NEVER panic. ...in fact, be overprotective of it !!

Take my word for it; There SHALL be NO such thing as the part in bold my dear !! ...so u need NOT bother at all.
I guess those making a mountain out of this, didn't really know what happened.
Air and landing mishaps can happen over different reasons. Faults could be attributed to human, airline or weather condition.
CAVERTONs was a LANDING mishap occasioned by poor weather condition at the time.
Again, the issue is presently being 'sorted out' !!

On a side note, even if the likes of Airfrance, Lufthansa or Emirates airline were the one to experience this or an even worse case scenerio, more than enough passengers(including VIPs) WILL still board them the very next day, IF NOT THE SAME DAY !!
CAVERTON will still board VIPs, and HNIs accross the current electioneering period and beyond, while also carrying out their different core business activities.
...it's here to stay !!

Cheers.

But we thank devine that it was only but a landing mishap.
...and thank God for the life of the VP !!
I recall that sometime last year, a chopper conveying him from the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada Abuja, was also involved in a mishap following an emergency landing after take off. ...he later had to leave the college by road.
May God continue to shield and protect us !!

It is well.

I don't see anything happening in terms of REVOKING of licence, but I see emotions(fear) coming into play in the mind of investors, before investigations are concluded. So I see this as an opportunity to pick more units at around 1.90 again (if it ever comes back to this region)
