Got a regret mail from MUN yesterday after applying for graduate studies.

CGPA: 2.65
Degree: Bachelor in Civil Engineering

Please guys, I have an uncle who's a Canadian citizen and my mum in Canada temporary who has been making efforts and willing to help me get to Canada but through studies.

Please guys, what advice can you give me, please
..

You guys gave me advice to apply for colleges since my GP is low.
I contacted my Canadian uncle about it, he said it will be more easy for me to get permanent stay if I apply and finish in a Canadian University but he doubts or doesn't know if it will be easy for me to get permanent stay through a college!

Please advice please..

But the Canada gov has grant approval for 2019 event again. The founder of the event has sent necessary document to canada embassy to grant all his application so we can attend this year program. Thank u so much. I wish u the best too

Search for colleges, apply and get admission...den come back and ask questions about your visa... University or college, u are eligible to get a permanent residency in either of the two...

Hi Horlamidei,

I strongly doubt your uncle's assertions. Be well informed that so long as you graduated from a designated learning institution in Canada whether university or College, you're absolutely qualified to apply for PGWP which is a pathway to your Permanent residency.

I will suggest you look for an advance diploma course which will be easier for you to gain admission.

Hello guys,
I’m thinking of applying to a Canadian school for my MSc in Artifical Intelligence. I finished from a Federal University with a Bsc in Computer science and CGPA of 3.65. I’ve gotten a lot of view from people buh I still don’t know the next step to take.
1. Can I secure admission with my Gp?
2. Should I try PGD ?
3. Should I redo my BSC.
4. Any other recommendation.
Thanks in advance

Yes. This is my GCMS report:
Previous travel not sufficiently demonstrated. Considering relevance of program, applicant’s travel history, available assets/funds, family ties and reasons to return to home country for general establishment in the home country. Given the PA’s assets /available funds I am not, satisfied it is logical given the cost of studying in Canada. I am not satisfied the course of study makes sense given PA’s history and education which leads to concerns the PA’s is leveraging the SP program as an entry to Canada and not for academic reasons. I am not satisfied that PA’s is sufficiently established to motivate them to leave CDA at the end of an authorized stay.
Wow! okay, just work on your SOP and LOE (together with the other things)

Check Ontario colleges like Seneca, Sheridan, George Brown etc. They offer advanced courses in Social services, community development etc,

Hi,

You would have to go to the UMGF section on the UoM website to find this out yourself. And if you're still not sure, you could call or email them.

Tvickie:
Hello everyone,
Pls who knows the process of applying for the umgf scholarship for university of Manitoba. Will I be the one to apply or my supervisor. If it’s my supervisor, will I have to ask her to apply for me ? Thank you

When one graduates from some colleges and universities they are eligible to Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP). It is the institution you will look up to know if they offer PGWP eligible programs.

You can check the CIC link below. Input the province or territory and check if the university or college offers such.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html

After you've decided on a course of study, you can apply to anyone with YES indicated. Also, because your CGPA was very low, maybe you should consider another undergraduate degree if you're finding it hard to get a master's admission.

I hope this helps.

Job Description

I’m a Network Engineer with Salary less than 500k and I’ve been working since 2012. I’m Business Oriented but have passion to study more. Could have done my Msc. here but distraction and calls will be too much. So my Business is on auto-pilot. Can be managed by my husband which I included in my application.

Reason for Refusal: 1. Purpose of Visit. VO wasn’t sure I will return. I’m married with 2 kids but traveling alone while husband and kids will stay here

2. Personal assets and Financial Status. I beg to disagree on this but willing to learn from everyone here.

I must say I’m not soo good keeping money in the bank. I invest every little penny I have but I was able to fix 5m and annual Rent from Tenants(4m) were what I used as POF. I have requested for gcms note though but before then what could be wrong with my application?
Are they expecting the money to be in the bank for a certain period of time? School resume in april, thinking I can reapply on time but waiting for gcms note before I will reapply. I’ve also been denied visiting visa with family 2yrs ago. Purpose of Visit that we won’t return back to Nigeria. I later got to know it was the period so many families who got US Visa were crossing to Canada declaring asylum. So that application was wrongly timed

Hello so sorry about this, first work on ur SOP again give them facts and figures on why you are going to Canada, what you stand to gain when you complete the course and of what benefit it will be to your country, then work on your bank statement. You might need to defer your course till September
