Biggest problem was that I applied from Abu Dhabi which has extremely high rejection rate for foreigners(especially Nigerians).

Note: I have travelled to turkey, Singapore and Cyprus before so I don't understand what they mean by travel history.
Profile: have a bachelor degree in hospitality management and got admitted to NBCC for 2years diploma in hotel and restaurant management, also paid the 500cad confirmation fees.

Is it okay to come back to Nigeria to come apply? According to my fimdings, they couldn't conduct thorough background check on me because am not applying from Nigeria.

Please gurus, what's your suggestions?

I have few questions to ask you, What's your Immigration status at Abu Dhabi? Why applying from there instead of Nigeria your home country? Before issuing a visitor visa, work permit or study permit, the immigration officer must be satisfied that you are likely to leave Canada when your permission to stay expires. If you have strong ties to your home country, the immigration officer will generally be satisfied that you are likely to return to your country after visiting, studying or working in Canada. Significant ties can include close family members who live in your home country, current employment as well as good prospects for future employment in your country, ownership of an active business, and ownership or property or other assets in your home country, among other factors. If you are not a citizen of the country where you live, your immigration status in your country of residence also has an impact on this assessment. If you can show that you will be able to return to your country of residence after visiting Canada, the visa office will likely focus primarily on your ties to your visiting country of residence (Abu Dhabi). Hence, If your immigration status in your country of residence (Abu Dhabi) isn't work permit, study visa, or resident permit, you're ought to return to your home country, Nigeria where you have sufficient ties because this will be considered to weaken your assessment in the sight of the visa officer. That means if you don't have a legal status in Abu Dhabi to apply for a Canadian student visa from there. You will always be denied if you keep trying to apply from the country. It's going to be inconvenient and expensive for you, but the best thing to do is go back to Nigeria and and apply for the student visa from there.

My budget for traveling is 2M for everything excluding flight and I don't have a specific kind of visa in mind, I just want something with long term

Now, here are my conditions;

-2M max for every expenses maybe excluding flight tickets.
- My highest certificate is O'level from 2011
- I have good working experience at various areas( software accounting-Sage, QuickBooks and POS, sales management, security and light-duty cleaning)
- I have a friend in Canada that is ready to accommodate me for as long as I want and handle other basic living expenses with a vouching ability

NO, PGD/C is prolly not under it. I referenced the guy cause he Said ”Nigerians don't like hearing the truth”

To get this Visa with a diploma is very very very difficult and it can only take the grace of God to walk past it. That's why I would rather advise instead of choosing diploma, why not go for another BSC or opt for PGD/C and MSC.

@Raymondrain did you submit your proof of residence permit in UAE? and did you explain to them in your SOP or LOE why you chose to apply in UAE?

well, with what I can see so far, you have a better chance by coming back to Nigeria and reapply but make sure you order your Gcms note and tackle everything. Endeavor to reach us here for further assistance in your gcms

Just that, You must take approved language tests in English or French and get a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all 4 abilities (writing, reading, listening and speaking). CLB 7 equals 6 under IELTS.

Your score should be minimum of Listening – 8, Writing – 7, Reading – 7 and Speaking – 7 to estimate your score.

You've got to score at least 67 points out of 100 under selection factors to be eligible.
The factors are
Age
Skills
Education (tertiary education or postsecondary education is not a must)
Language ability
Work experience
Other factors

That's gonna be a problem cause there are people that have been working in the company over 3 years. You haven't worked in the company for 1 year
So you will have to be careful In your SOP or from your letter of sponsorship (from the company).
In fact don't say anything like ”one staff for every 2 years interval” in your SOP or Sponsorship letter because it can be use against you.

Obtaining a company sponsorship can be highly mutually beneficial for both You and the company involved in the arrangement, as it can give financial support throughout the period of study for you, while at the same time ensuring that meaningful, relevant research is being carried out for the company with the added benefit that, in most cases, an excellent employee will be ready to work for them upon completion of study.

That’s why I would advise you to sign an agreement with the company that commits you to work for them for a minimum period of time after completing your degree. Before getting on board with the sponsorship you want to be crystal clear that you are happy with the terms being set in terms of how long after completion you have to stay exclusively with the firm that is to be your sponsor.

Let the company transfer your tuition fee or living expenses and they should provide the company's account. You should also provide your account as the co-sponsor.

You said you have a family member in the company board of directors (that's to say, he's your uncle)
:
Talk to him, let him stand as your sponsor.
Tell him to explain everything to the board of directors about the visa wahala and he should collect the money from the company to his personal account so he should stand as your sponsor... meaning, to you and the company he's inversely standing for the company.

What I really dont understand is what else they want or what they really require of the applicant based on the stated reason. Despite the fact that applicants go ahead to present evidence like documents of landed properties either belonging to them or their parents, VOs still go ahead to tick personal assest.

Same goes for the financial status too. With evidence of income and proof of being able to foot the bills in Canada, they still go ahead to tick this.

Hello Madam,

You can apply for your study permit along side with your family provided you have adequate funds to cater for their stay while in Canada. You can't travel to Canada for a 2 years Master's program and leave a 2yr old baby behind in Nigeria. The visa officer will certainly question your intent to study in Canada considering the baby is a toddler and will require your mother care at this early stage in life and sometimes to be breast feed. Who will do all of these when you're away? You can show adequate funds for their stay as Dependent child cost 3KCAD for each of your kids, while your (spouse) dependent adult cost 4KCAD. In summary, try as much as you can to gather the list of these DOCUMENTS FROM A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT FOR A FAMILY APPLICATION.

i don't know which one you are referring to, but if you meant paying before Visa is issued, it depends on the institution, I prefer the ones that would only ask for application or acceptance fee...
Paying tuition doesn't mean you will get Visa, but may also be of essence.

Paying tuition does not guarantee ur Visa.. We have seen peeps here getting their Visa without paying chichi to the school they applied to.. And we have seen peeps paying full tuition and still got refused. You can go ahead to pay ur tuition tho, if thats what u want, but make sure u know the refund policy of the school.. Peace

I need sincere advise.
I was ready to submit my application tomorrow.
I couldn't get an upfront medical date. The earliest I could get is next week wednesday
Should I go ahead and submit tomorrow or wait till next week Thursday (after the upfront)
Will the upfront medicals be worth the postponement ?
Someone mentioned doing it after submitting. Is that method safe?
