Even if we lose the remaining 20 games, it won't cut it. I've written this season off though. Get Kyrie or Kemba + Melo and a few shooters and bigs, then we good for next season.

Can you imagine if he puts all heart to becoming the best? He does it effortlessly. The man is the purest and most efficient scorer of the ball, he can attack you in so many ways offensively. I was watching last night’s game and he single handedly brought them back with clutch shots.

Thing is KD is not too interested in claiming the face of the NBA. If you read his recent interview where he said he plays the game without any pressure now and the NBA is not everything for him you will see what I mean. He does it effortlessly. His 2nd finals MVP was a testament to that because he was not entirely thrilled about the award. The only time I have seen KD thrilled about an award was when he won his NBA MVP. That meant the world to him especially since he dedicated it to his mother who means the world to him.

It's so easy when you play for the best team in the league

Lakers drafted the right players. Too bad they gave up on them too soon. DLo and Randle both comes to mind.

Lol, can't you see that Ingram is already becoming a beast. And Kuz is better, Ball was balling before he got injured. Look at the cavs, Smith used to ball, but now...he's dead rubber. Same with TT

Bahahahahaha. We gave them fair warning. The West is a different beast we said, we would bow they said. Who is bowing now? Out of the playoffs I might add

birdman:

3 games into the season and you are writing epistles. Where is roland17, make im gist you how Lebron snatched the heart out of the celtics team in d playoffs with that KING KONG roar last year angry

The king is not worried, you will all bow, las las
Bahahahahaha grin grin they said I was writing epistle

A40:

Once the athleticism declines even a bit the lack of fundamentals would become worse and of course you invariably start taking plays off.

I think overall minus the lack of outside shooting the team is pretty good, they lack of quality bigs but their size and length on the wings make up for that. However the way analysts were falling over themselves tagging them a playoff team cos of LeNomad I found a bit odd. Teams especially from the West would be fired up to play against them just for that. Look at all their 3 games so far and you would almost think the playoffs have started

TT dead? He was playing pretty well before the series of injuries. Cavs would have performed better if not for the injuries, my opinion tho. Kuz, Lonzo and Ingram played better when Bron was injured jhur.

Fringe players gets better.
Star players,not so much.

The Lakers would've made the playoffs if he wasn't injured though, there is no disputing that.

Make him just go they flex around Los Angeles and not play anymore,no need for stress.

I think it has more to do with failed trade and rumors about Walton not wanted by LBJ.

You people should stop repeating this myth and urban legend. They were only 2.5 games ahead of the 9th placed team largely benefiting from a light schedule

Forget Walton, the only coach bron no undermine na,Spo,and even then he almost got the guy fired if not for the huge balls on Pat Riley.
Magic Johnson and this pelinka need somebody to blame.

The Lakers make the playoff with a healthy LeBron no way they go (6-12) or whatever the records was in his absence.
It is the west. The gaps between the teams no they large anyhow before.

No. What is your evidence of that? They are 4-9 since he returned plus have you seen their last bunch of games? Even if they went 12-6 (unlikely) in LeNomad's absence, their last 18 games comprise of 15 teams over .500!!

He was playing, they had a winning record.
He stopped playing, they had a losing record.
They could still end up with a winning record although unwise.

So ?
Is it unheard of for a team to have a decent record against .500 teams. Like they didn't beat any decent teams and only whaled on bottom feeders.

Your argument would have been legit if they had a winning or even .500 record since he returned. They were 26-25 before he returned. Since he got back they have gone from 1 game over .500 to 4 games below .500

Let me reiterate, they had 31 games left to play with a 26-25 record, it's not like he came back without enough time for the Lakers to get at least an 8th seed

They have played 12 games and lost 9 since he got back but I'm supposed to believe they would make playoffs if he didn't get injured? Taaaa!

All I know is they would not have won enough games vs the .500 teams to get into the playoffs.

You need a huge difference between your win and loss to cushion against the inevitable loss of form, bad road trip or whatever.
The Lakers in his absence blew that cushion.
The present team that he came back to isn't the same team mentally, that was fighting for 4th place.
The worst that would've happened is that they don't maintain the 4th place and slip to 6th or 7th. But they don't make the playoff! No way.
