Yeah I did. Its past but I feel very emotional that I passed through all that. When I checked myself to the yaba psychiatrist hospital, they refused to attend to me that I must come with someone (they didnt understand how someone will report to the hospital and explain what's wrong with him) they said its someone else that can say what's wrong with me, well after serious argument they attended to me, did some test, counselled me and said I had anxiety and depressed. Well that's my story

I'm truly inspired by your story. I wish I could give you a long bro hug right now. I'm assuming nothing about life would faze you anymore. Life has a way of preparing us and you've gotten your fair share of it. Every moment we go through is a phase, and to be honest, our twenties is a good time to go through this volatility. It prepares us in advance for the later stages of life. Well, talking of ups and downs, my experience wasn't as brutal as yours, but you know coming from a situation where you didn't need to calculate so much before you buy things to a state where you start doing so much calculations grin was I stunned? Not really. I always knew in theory that life was in phases, but experiencing it (downs of life) taught me a very deep invaluable lesson. It taught me to appreciate and cherish the good times always with a thought for the future.

Here's mine:
Grew up with an uncle, dude was made but we the family no dey see am chop cheesy Na small small girls for area dey finish the money. Wifey talk tire, momsy and other family members shuk mouth but no improvement. My bros na good example of apc(promise and fail). Got tired of being sent home from school, I kukuma tell momsy about it, and I was made to understand that he complained to his sister(my mom) that his business was dwindling and at such had no money at the moment so she sent our school fees and other change for our upkeep but Bros just kack with the money sad The only thing he keeps repeating whenever he wants to dodge is responsibilities is that I'm stubborn and too playful undecided while the wife doesn't respect him cheesy (trust dude to have a basket full of excuses)As if that wasn't enough my slippers choose that period to disappoint me cheesy Knowing full well that he will promise me again and fail, I use pin take join am like that cool Wore it for a while till the pin pricked me one day due to my carelessness embarassed That was the first time I saw my uncle really scared(lol) he got me treated immediately and made me promise not to tell momsy (emi keh, me kuku know say I go talk) that singular act made him take over his responsibilities. He was actually scared of my mom's trouble.

He changed afterwards but it was already too late, the girls don drain am cry That's why I detest when young ladies go after married folks, it ain't cool atall angry

Poverty my master my teacher.

When my sanders would break like this I will fix it, my tv, my basins, clothes.

Expand this to a wider understanding and you may see why we fail in many things. We no longer know how to fix things. Hence we no longer inventive and we no longer have connection with things. Our old tv Served us so long, when we gave it out eventually we all felt like crying. That was for an inanimate object. It was a member of the family and we knew it.

Enter wealth and his endless power of choice. If the phone breaks, trow it away and get a new one, ...if the TV blew up, trow it away and get a new one, if the shirt needs patch, trow it away. People will laugh.

Human relationships are worst in this order. If the girl or guy is bad. Trow her away and get a new one. "I can't take this from any man or woman". There are many fishes in the sea.

We need to go back to the days when we fix things.

Wealth and too much choice is killing love and connection as should be.

I think I did it for few days in my university days when i was so broke to buy new slippers.
I did this during Late Gen.Sabi Abacha's regime, the poverty was very high in the whole neighborhood, salary's were being owed and you can not protest because the soldier's called "operation sweep" were in all street,Nadeco (Afenifere) men were being jalied,Sergeant Rogers(Abacha's killing machine ) was killing all opposition's down, late Kudirat, late Abraham Adesanya(thou the bullet didn't penetrate),Late Dr.Frederick Fashehun,Professor Wole Soyinka was in detention along with Late Gani Fawehinmi,Tibunu had ran away to U.K,he came back after Abacha's death, all the kids in neighborhood would visit the saw mill plants and pack a sack of "sawdust" to cook our favourite meal of "weevil " beans, you need to put more garri to make the weevils invisible while eating, the beans is half of dead weevils, the year was btw 1994-1998,Mid 80's kids can relate. University strike went for months even some 2yrs.I can't forget in a hurry.

That's how life should be. Unfortunately some of us place material things above more profound values. No, you're not crazy, it's seems as if you've just mastered your chi (assuming you were training for martial arts).

And about the religion part, honestly Nigerian Christians/Muslims are not a measure of whether you will continue to stick to a religion. Like Asa sang, there is so much religion and so little love. This is true. Other countries that are not so religious, have more caring people. I reckon the religion thing is more of a personal journey really (in Nigeria). The community of believers are supposed to look after one another and its unfortunate in your case. In another country, it could be a different story. I'm not the best of Christians, but if we all start reacting to how we're treated by fellow believers, we'd have so many atheists. grin

it would last you for 2 straight weeks,I got small permanent nails by my window sides, sleepers was just about #50 then, but poverty that can infiltrate the mind is worst than H.I.V,we did not even know we were thinking like "oloshi" because the whole environment was struggling to barely survive. You must first fight poverty from your mindset before you can win.
