DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 22 MARCH 2019

MSCI Nigeria seems to be taking a break from the market for now, as at 21 March portfolio had nil movement. The market is improving internally although not yet visible to the general public.

I think after they must have consolidated everything and DMD appear as Access in your trading account. That shouldn't be long considering their date of commencing biz as one entity - which is April 1st, 2019, all things being equal.

This is nice. Would be nicer if people could monitor it via the app and if they allowed deposits instead of transfers.

Also, can someone buy this directly from the NSE, via a broker?

Since the two different signatures are yours, write and request for change of name and signature, sign with existing signature and name you have with them. Search for their registrar contact address online, call them and explain to them, or e-mail them. They will tell you what best to do.

Are there still good results among yet to release results?

Except fidelity and fcmb.........any other one remain is a trap.

One need to cherry pick stocks that has the best results so far.stocks like ucap, Afriprud, Transcorp, zenith,Gtb,stanbic,Uba,Dangote cem.The prices of these stocks as at today will be the lowest one can see them in the next 60 days and above.

Fcmb and Fidelity also worth picking but may remain static if dividend is not juicy.

Happy weekend pals

Loco's stock will still reach sub #1.20. When it is time for the real transcorpians to buy, they simply overload the market with offers. Interestingly, one man can do this alone.

Although, I prefer your style of buying portions.

The tax credit is a one-off now. We have to discount that. And I think the large pay-out ratio is perhaps cos Alhaji needs some cash to fund projects.

People are aware these 100% PAT growth and over 80% dividend pay-out are not things sustainable.

Without the tax credit in FY 19, and with the pioneer status expiring on some of the Obajana Lines, 2019 PE is gonna drop by close to 40% from 2018.
Price hikes aren't likely because should there be any significant hikes, folks may again start smuggling in cement.

Volume growth across the group (I mean the pan African operations) may only contribute minimally to EPS growth.

So, in all some of us still think it's over priced.

Except you're medium to long-term, it can be quite risky.

After offloading your 50m units at an average of 1.15, someone else out of fear joins you to take it further down to 1.12,
then you find that people become excessively fearful, and the highest bid for the next few weeks is 20,000 units at 1.04.

By the time you realize it, you're down 30%.
15million gone to NSE experiment. What's WORSE is you'd be beefing the market, and thus miss opportunities that it presents during those your trying times. The WORST is, by the time it eventually pays off, there may be others that'll be faster than you at selling, so you would have only worked for them to benefit.

By the time you eventually decide to cut your losses and sell on Monday, the company releases its results for the quarter on Friday, and earnings are down.

You enter market on Monday morning to see 200m units of offers at 0.92, your laptop is gone that day, so is any assistant who tries to greet you 'Good morning'. And any relative that calls that day from your village......
Even your kids may start wondering 'what's wrong with Daddy' when you start screaming excessively. Your son says "Dad your food is ready" and your very first response is a scream of "Didn't you hear I said I'm coming?"

Experiments like this are best performed by fund managers, cos first, they'd probably be using 100m out of their 100bn pension asset allocated to equities. Second, the losses don't get to them personally. Third, they can afford to be very patient.

I wonder how much you would have gained if things had panned out fine, so it'd be fine to make sure, the potential gains are really worth all the troubles.
