I've dried the phone under the sun and put it in rice. I've even taken the phone to a technician to clean properly, but it still won't come on .

i thought vbus suppose to supply power and not data. the phone actually charges when connected with a usb cable to a pc, the pc just dont recognise the device, meanwhile the phone charges, but no data exchange

You activated the find my phone feature and probably rebooted it. So it failed to boot. There are two possible reasons it failed to boot:
The old user flashed a different firmware for the device; and
The old user did not completely remove root.

Solution:
Boot the phone to download mode, by holding the vol+down+home key.. the model of the phone will be displayed on the phone. Search for the firmware on Sammobile.com or updato.com

If you have a pc, download Odin version 3.13 and flash

If you have any question kindly leave your phone number I will message or call u.

I'll suggest, before buying a phone, be physically present and manoeuvre it to your satisfaction. Make sure you are satisfied and ask the seller to give a warranty for it.

Hello somebody help me please, my Samsung galaxy phone suddenly started hanging at the Samsung logo screen when booting up, it did this for about 20 minutes while I kept removing and reinserting the battery, now it doesn't come on at all.
This started this morning, it's kinda funny cos I used the phone up until 3am this morning without issues.
