Yes boss.
Since you said its fair value is between 1.40 and 1.60 i didnt panic .

Ill wait

But pls know when to exit based on ur strategy and set out goals.
Given the present bearish market trend, it may not get to that price in the short term. But should there be a change in trend, it should test that range.
Everything depends on ur personality and investment goals.

That said, due diligence should still remain ur 1st priority.

Oga Chibu, stories like these are told by people that survive. We need not to invest based on HOPE again. We are better informed now. There are many online trading platforms that you can use to sell or buy stocks within a short time today. Transcorp is ALIVE today because of TOE. Dangote Flour came back to life because there was a need for it by Alhaji to do something. When you are lucky to come out unscathed from worst situations, please do not be tempted to go through such experience again. You may not be lucky all the time.

Never will i invest my money on hope again, i bailed out of DF then @13.70 and i never looked back again even when the price was going up, my inner mind warned me not to touch for now. Is a matter of time, DF is coming back to N5.

How feasible is that price

No one can give a certain answer to that question my dear.
...the market will have to determine that based on the degree of the direction of its trend at any given time.

However, after initially disposing the holding in my trading portfolio @ over 80% ROI, I have decided to hold onto the stake in my investment portfolio.
I see the coy doing well in the mid to long term.
I haven't stoped liking what I see in their financial print. ...particularly in the last 3 quarters.

3k is superb on a 20k stock. The only issue is after collecting the dividend (13.5% yield net of WHT) It may be months, years or decades before you're able to sell and recoup your capital.

Cos I doubt if anyone would be willing to buy so much of it after markdown.

Meanwhile if this stock stays in the 20-22k range till qualification date, I'm wondering how it will be marked since 20k is the new floor.

Yes CAVERTON actually does have something to do with the fluctuations in oil pricing.
In principal, a positive trend in the price of oil would mean a broader earnings base for the key players in that sector. ...and since CAVERTON is a leading contractual provider of marine, aviation and logistic services to coys in the oil and gas space,(chevron, shell, npdc etc) it will in turn receive better earnings and greater draw backs(receivables). ...which will have a positive impact on their deriavable earnings.(pat margin)

Away from oil and gas related deals though, the company also has other sources of building revenue and is still diversifying even more.
I have since said that there are lots of 'goodies' associated with that coy !!

It is well.

HOPE in INVESTING has held many in this stock. Meanwhile, the real owners are busy celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the company all over the place. It is First Bank that is 125 years oooo. Meanwhile, FBN Holdings is the one doing the celebration all over the place.

No my dear
We have stoped talking about the coy. ...I only wanted to correct a seeming wrong interpretation of things with the post u quoted.
@Chibuking81 is now the spokesperson !! wink cheesy grin

But yes CAVERTON doesn't need any advertising. ...the company's effectiveness and efficiency speaks volume.
Those in doubt can argue with the coys recent spate of outstandingly explosive results.

It is well.

Just looked at Chams result again and the net cash on their books is N120k (after deducting the bank overdraft of N111.402m from Cash and cash equivalent). Implication is that they might need a loan of N150m to pay the proposed dividend.

No more chams advertisement here again, let them come and do it themselves, the wheelbarrow pusher sometimes get support. There result is still in doubt, I will bail out the little unit I have with them, anytime from now.
