Something just isn't right with this Warriors team. We would be talking about a series lead for the Clippers by now if they didn't absolutely faceplant at home.

And if they somehow manage to blow this 3-1 again, on God this would actually be worse than 2016

There is nothing wrong with this Warriors team. They only thing they are guilty of is looking too far ahead and not focusing on the task in hand. I fully expect them to Blow the clippers out on Friday and go on to win the Chip. Ofcourse they'll be setbacks along the way but no way are they not winning it all.

My point exactly. They are already talking about the next round when the job of the first round has not been done. They would never do this last year or the year before, they would not blow a 31pt lead (not with Durant at least) the year before and they wouldn't lose so many home games either.

ATBE the Warriors should win but they are far from invincible, Houston showed that last year. I don't expect them to this year because Harden is still looking like a poor man's Regular season Peyton Manning to me. However I believe whoever gets out the East could give them problems

Did you see that all the wildcard teams in the Stanley Cup playoffs advanced ahead of the #1 and #2 seeds in the East and West? The NHL playoffs are far more competitive than the NBA playoffs

Absolutely!!! Infact, home ice means nothing in the NHL. The Caps were up 2 and before knew it the Hurricanes scored 5. The lightning who won the presidents cup were swept by the Jackets whom I am tipping to go all the way. I love the NHL playoff because there are no assurances. You better come out aggressive, else you are getting schooled.

Sorry, the NHL playoffs are not more competitive, it's just that the format allows for surprise results. The NBA is the only sport where the championship rounds ensures that only the best team goes through because said team has to win 4 times.
In the NFL, NHL and UCL to name a few competitions, the 1or 2 game knockout nature allows for the underdog or the inferior team to sometimes shock the better team.
PS: If the NBA playoffs was a 1 game series, this year alone the nets and magic would have qualified beating out better teams like the sixers and raptors

Your post just exposed the fact that you are either an arm chair analyst of the NHL or have absolutely no knowledge of the NHL. The NHL play a best of 7 game series like the NBA in the post season and they are more dangerous, competitive and aggressive than what the NBA has become today. I will start from there first before I choose to indulge further arguments about your stance.

I extremely disagree. This year the top two teams with the best regular season got bounced in the first round. One of them got swept

By the way the NHL playoffs is a best of 7 not a 1 or 2 game knockout. And in this season's playoffs we had 3 Game 7's in the first round!!! if you follow the NHL you will know the parity is way higher than in the NBA

What you would have said is that the sheer nature of the NBA and how one or two players can influence the game at a higher level than either NHL or NFL is why there is a bit of a wider gulf between the haves and have nots

Even the 3-1 lead that is seemingly unassailable gets frequently overturned like we saw with the Knights and the Sharks. Winning the President's Cup is almost the kiss of death. I think the Blackhawks and Red Wings are the only two teams in 20 years who have won that and won the Cup

After this first round I find it really difficult to predict a certain team winning it all. The teams are ridiculously evenly matched. However I'd go for a Bruins vs Blues Stanley Cup Finals

As much as I like Tarasenko, I am never to going to pick the Blues because they are conference rivals to my Blackhawks, but they play really hard and are one of the best defensive teams in the league.

Hostile environment where the LA team didn't win any of the 2 games.
This is different. Right now they know they have a decent shot. It easier to play an elimination game at home than away, don't you think?

A team from the east is winning the Larry O'Brien trophy this year. Save this post.
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:17pm On Apr 25, 2019
The Lakers ranked No. 1 in the NBA on the team merchandise list, ahead of GSW, BOS, PHI and MIL. Meanwhile, King James had the NBA’s most popular selling jersey this season, ahead of Curry, Giannis, Kyrie and Embiid.

Just thought I'd drop this here in case there was any misconception as to who is who or what is what.

So in the previous 3 seasons that Curry had the most jersey and shoe sales what did it mean?

So they became better after Lebron left or what was stopping him from winning it when he was in the east?

We the warriors are still winning this year but this in reference to what he said makes zero sense.

Means curry plays for a bigger market team. Only reason lebron wasnt at the bottom of the barrel is because hes the NBAs biggest star.

Lebron is a bigger star than Steph, nobody is arguing that. My question to the other guy was to show him Lebron changing teams is the reason for the spike. He was still a bigger star than Curry when Curry was outselling him in the previous 3 seasons.

How many finals has he lost? When last did he win? If the same people he was beating to lose to the Warriors are still there, why would they all of a sudden become better than the Warriors team that he could not best?

Their goaltending is solid and their offensive linemen from first to the third is at par with that of the Sharks.

The Sharks are the deepest team in the West but I suspect their goaltending might Amaka them at last which was why I leaned towards the Blues

DeRozan gon DeRozan.

In an elimination game this guy is deadass shooting 1/4 at home. Lol! I thought the Raptors did him greasy and was rooting for him but for a player at his position to not even try to shoot the 3, any team hoping to win anything with him will probably sleep there.

I have raved about J. Havlicek on this thread before. He was our M. Smart before today's Smart on the defensive end. Dude was a very intelligent defender and a great 2-way player. He will forever bleed green in our hearts.

RIP John Havlicek

The NFL top 3 draft picks went as scripted with no surprise at all. Wondering what the cardinals will get for Rosen.
