Back to your question. The only acceptable way of writing "he stabs" in youruba is "O gun" and not "Ogun". The same process is applicable to " She climbs". However, what differentiate them is the symbol/mark/sign which I have little knowledge about.

don't mind the OP. he doesn't understand something and he was corrected.but he starts to dey insult people. the words he gave meanings to are wrong.. only few are right... O gun mean he/she stabs.. and it's two syllables which is like a sentence with a verb and pronoun unlike he opined ..secondly... ami ohun which gives final meaning to every Yoruba word separates this word from mere conjectures. do(\) re (_) and mi(/) are placed on vowels in Yoruba words to give it's stressed and final meaning...

Those are the only two words with the same pronunciation, the rest have tonal differences. Besides, in English Language, we have Bank (financial institutions, side of a river), Address (speak to, location) . They are called homonyms.
