shadeyinka:Even the Bible asks, "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" Two people are compatible when they share common values...we don't. Two people who don't share much similarities can live peacefully as long as they respect their differences. Check which tribe takes it upon themselves to be pointing out which ethnicity is related or unrelated to who and why one people should not be dealing with their relatives then you'll discover where the problem originated from. 5 Likes 1 Share |
When I see maturity I know, you're one. But having said that, the whole South is angry against Yorubas because all the political gains of balance of power made by Obasanjo was sold to out when they South. Jonathan loved and respected Yorubas. PDP zoned Speakership to the West, but ACN connivined with some PDP guys to gift it to Tambuwal. We the Igbos weren't given such position. Today... We're fighting to see if South will ever be President again I think it is too late. North will not give up power at ease again. [/quote It's quite annoying the kind of situation we are in... Conspiracy theories flying around... No tribe is perfect and no tribe is bad.. I can't count the number of igbos that has betrayed me and tried been smart because of money or business but I chose to take them as individuals and not generalise for a tribe....some have taken advantage of me cause I'm an indigene of Lagos.... Even one came up to me to help him get certificate of origin from my local govt and he will claim to be Yoruba but I gladly rejected that. We should let peace reign that's all... If we can't forgive and forget then let be civilized and live in peace and respect one another... Igbo's won elections in 2015 and we all applauded them, only for some of them to start saying they have conquered Lagos, they are coming for the governorship and nothing the Yoruba's can do, you call my land a no man's land, these are some of the things that are bringing up dirty politics 1 Like |

helinues:Then you shouldn't be bothered if the north takes it again. Hope you're not banking on the promise Osinbanjo and Fashola campaigned with.. that voting APC will bring power SW in 2023 cos it doesn't seem like "taking". 7 Likes 3 Shares |

I totally agree with you in all your write up on this topic, but East aren't same as South South. Though we have few Igbo tribes in South South, but then... They've got there independent. Jonathan doesn't speak or understand Igbo language. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

kernel01:I understand.. But the extent at which people from the East hate just any Muslim, any one that supports APC is so alarming... There is life after religion and politics.. We are humans first... Hope we get it right some day... Where are you from? |

helinues:'You' are not fighting for it bros (or sis), 'you' are only negotiating for it to be given to 'you', which is fine... But the question is if 'you' can live with the consequences of the choices being made. If it's by "fighting" for power, it will not come south in the near future. |

kernel01: Is there no intelligent way to work out a new political ideology that will suit the two regions? Like I said earlier "there is no single Yoruba voice anywhere". Let's work on forging a unity |

Donelli: You guys may not know it, but you derive joy in bringing others down. You are not interested in 2023 presidency, fine. SW are interested and have been negotiating, fighting, collaborating with other regions. Why not let them try their luck instead of sabotaging?? Huh Let me burst your head.. Trader moni is for what? Physically delivered social programs headed by Osinbajo.. In Alias Movies, Sloane and Percy are my favourites. |

kernel01:Nothing to be proud of except our resilience! After listening to Mohalu in the political debate, I discovered that our differences is our greatest enemy. helinues:You were making sense till you included the bolded remark. Who started the divide in the south? Yorubas Who spearheaded the media campaign against the person of GEJ? Yorubas Let us even agree on the fact that the president is accountable for the failures in his government, so why is thesame Yoruba media silent now with this government beating every bad record of the previous? 9 Likes 5 Shares |

Mayor08: I'm Igbo. Trust me the problem isn't APC as a party, but the arrow heads. Is Atiku, Yaradua not Muslims? They perceive Buhari as a regional leader and extremist. Remember comments made by Buhari during Jonathan government, so much that he was asked by Boko-haram to represent them with the FG the, finally it didn't happen. Igbos can stand Tinubu ordering them, to an Igbo man every man is equal. I want to tell you this for free. We love Ojukwu, but the moment he ventured into Nigerian politics, we didn't vote him, we felt betrayed and secondly, our votes alone can't help him, so we voted other candidate. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

kernel01:If you have done your analysis we'll, you will see that we will succeed more because of our market size as a united country than otherwise. Technological development with no market is useless! There is a gangup against emerging countries technology-wise. A country that would survive must have a large internal market. We have all the problems above because the intellectuals have allowed the mediocre to rule them in the name of tribal sentiments. We need to strategically think of the way forward. |

Donelli:I beg to disagree with you here with due respect! Voting pattern has never been one sided in the west. Except one is not educated...and that is why Tinubu will recon more with the Street Urchins than the intellectuals in winning elections. Did Yorubas really follow OBJ even though he was one of them? |

shadeyinka: I read on Quora, an Israeli answering a question about Nigeria. He said Nigeria is the worst place to reside in this world. He talked about our denial of the truth, voting an incompetence mediocre for a geniuse. A talent needs to pay to be admitted. Look at Anthony Joshua and Anaba. They both beg for opportunity to represent this nation, but no! Except they pay money. Please I wish this nation be divided, we share different values. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

shadeyinka: Bro, you’re on a quixotic venture. It’s never going to happen. You are just tilting at windmills. This fvckery has been going on for over 150 years. From colonial records, the Yoruba and Igbo freed slaves in Sierra Leone were already at loggerheads with much the same quarrels you read everyday on this forum. They should never have been together in one country but the British were never interested in a viable country to start with. 1 Like |

Donelli:Trust me, you don't know how many Yorubas are simpathetic to the Igbo cause. But you seem more comfortable putting everyone in one straight jacket. Is the Igbos more similar to the Hausa/Fulani? The truth is that each tribe is different but it doesn't mean that we can't live together. A house divided against itself because of tribal differences cannot stand |

kernel01:I'm not against who you people vote for/like or what you stand for... You guys should learn to respect other people's decision, we are different... Let us criticize this government constructively and not base on hate... When an igbo man says something against this government, so many people will think he/she said that cause you guys hate him |

helinues:Which is what it ought to be. The north supports their own no matter what. What happens in the North, stays in the North and it should be thesame with the south. The only time a northerner antagonises another northerner in power, it is to take power for himself and not on behalf of the South... Which, by the way, has only happened during military coups... but your people are just too wise for their own good. After the games everybody go count scores. Let assumed we spear headed media campaign against GEJ in 2015, is it not justifiable?By principle, the media appeared to have done their job. So why is thesame resource not in play with all the wrongs happening, even far worse than what GEJ was accused of? Yoruba silent with this government ?? Like Buhari received 75% of votes from SW even with Osinbajo as Vp?I'm referring to the ever vibrant Yoruba media corporation not the masses 5 Likes |

shadeyinka: You sound differently, but our definition of power differs in Nigeria. South defines power as the ability to provide jobs, economics and social welfare. But the Northern defines it as the ability to suppress others and subject them to his own way of life. 4 Likes |
