Thanks bro but expenses to Abuja won't be easy for now.

This is like your cheapest option and you can't afford it still? Where do you stay? Fare to Abuja isn't that expensive if you're going by road. I know the human rights radio and agree with him about your chances of getting solution there. Anyhow sha, Goodluck.

That one of the problem of doing business with someone you know well.. in the first place you should have gone for a registered company that supply that product..

This is a case of profit and loss..
If you can gain the remaining balance after you pursue the case with that amount, then go for it

BUT

if you know you are not sure you will get your money after the cost of pursuing the case. In my opinion I would say leave it. And start small again...
God help you

First of all, I appreciate all those who have made one or two suggestions here and those to come. Equally,
I appreciate the moderators who deemed it fit to bring my case to the front page after much plea.

DavidEsq, (moniker) I am not looking for financial assistance as you suggested rather, I needed to gather opinions from experienced individuals who might have encountered a similar situation. If you care to know, this is one of the benefits of social media. You may not know the calibre of people here on nairaland. There are lawyers here, human right activists, bloggers as well as law enforcement personnel. As a matter of principle, I don't feel comfortable begging for money. Read my post very well, I stated that I was working with a reputable organisation but had to resign in order not be sacked because I have loans that went bad. However, I understand where you are coming from but I mentioned that I can explain in detail to anyone willing to assist with evidence. In order not to bore the readers with plenty write-ups, I decided to summarise it. I would have preferred to contact you to narrate and tender the evidence in my possession pertaining the transaction. I don't think you have visited the SFU before. It's not a place you access with quasi or cook up stories. The only issue here is the financial involvement which informed my decision to dispose my car to raise fund to pursue this case but not sure if the debt will be recovered afterwards hence my towing this path. That said, it's a free world and your are entitled to your opinion.

Secondly, majority of the inputs suggested so far pointed at Human Right radio, Abuja which I see viable and would take a stand point at the end.

Furthermore, there are a lot of suggestions here which I cannot respond to individually but I will certainly contact those that requested I reach out to them via whatsapp or direct message.

All in all, I promise to give an update at the end of the day, visa vis the final step and resolutions.

I am still hopeful!

Best regards.

DavidEsq:
I have the impression that OP doesn't need the kinda help suggested to him. This is because every option suggested to him is rejected by him. I doubt if he would reject the option of fund raising for him. This should make one wary of him. Wat exactly is he asking? Just FP or something implied?

Those who make others to go through pain, shall die in pain. Why would the police ,establishment be charging for such a matter like this? We are in deep trouble in the country . The men have lost their mind and conscience completely .Demanding for cash from someone who have lost all in a transaction..!

Oga as an experienced businessman, I Don see 35 before I reach 29 years. Let me tell you the price list of (illegal) petition fee received by the corrupt Nigeria police force.

1. To petition DPO, you pay N5,000, arrest/mobilization fee is N5,000-10,000 depending on the suspect location within their jurisdiction, you also pay N5000-N10000 for witness statement paper and pen you'll use to write statement. When the suspect is caught he will pay bail of N10,000 - 20000 depending of the levity of the crime. If the suspect is located in another state of city outside their jurisdiction, you'll pay N20,000 for signal in order to notify the police state or state command of his present location.

2 Area command

To petition the AC, you write and 10,000-20000 before the petition is submitted. Depending on your power of negotiation.

Arrest/mobilization/tracking- N30000- N40000 depending on the suspects location.
Signal- 20,000
Statement paper- 5,000- 10,000
Suspect to pay bail of 20,000-30,000

3. ZONAL COMMAND

To petition AIG/DIG of the command- N25,000

Arrest/mobilization/tracking- N50,000-N70000

Signal- 20,000

Statement paper- 10000

Suspect to pay bail of 20,000- 50,0000

4 Inspector-general office, Abuja

Petition- N50,000- 100000

Signal-100,000

Statement paper- 30000- 50000

Suspect to pay bail of - 100,000- 500,000

Pray make the suspect no get money pass you, you fit sleep for the same cell wey him sleep last nite. grin

Oga forget all this story.

Kindly, help a soul before late.

My Story:

I paid a guy 3.2million since 2017 to supply me Zinc Ore but he defaulted . I have since reported the matter to his father, village king, and town union president, yet no result. I visited his house sometime last year and after much noise, he signed an agreement before his lawyer and my own lawyer to pay effective April last year, but reneged again.

His village king as well as his lawyer have since lost interest in the matter. They advised that having exhausted all peaceful means of recovering the fund; I am at liberty to explore other options since the guy refused to oblige.

I don't want to arrest him with the police in his state of residence because I know he can easily riddle his way out. Considering our judicial system, I think going to court would prolong the case.

A friend suggested that since I live in Lagos and him at the East, the best option will be using EFCC, Special Fraud Unit or Force CID to arrest him (debtor) after obtaining approval from IG's office which seems to be expensive. I visited SFU Ikoyi and was told that the petition to IG will cost me 60,000 to 100,000 while mobilization for the officers that will go for his arrest amounts to 250,000.

The above fund put together is almost 400,000 naira or more, which I don't have at the moment. I have since put my car for sale to pursue this case.

I have lost a lot in the course of traveling for this debt. I lost my job last year because I couldn't continue servicing the loan I took from First Bank and my place of work as well.

My wife is now the pillar of the family. The situation around me is so pathetic.

Please I need suggestions and anyone that can assist me pursue this case. I have print out of all the payment made to him(debtor), signed agreement by him and other documents.

Please help a brother.

I will appreciate if the moderators can help me push this post to front page. I am totally devastated with no hope at sight.

Take my advice. It is heartless advice but it will get the result done... Kidnap the motherfker.. That money will be out in 48 hours...

Some times you have to be heartless to deal with Nigerians.

Most times is not about how much you have, but how much you know, your interest and how ready you are to grind dirty.
An Igbo adage says, a man whose hand is always busy and grinding will also have an oily mouth (food). That is, hardwork can make one belleful.

I remember entering Alaba market with zero naira a certain day about 8 years ago, told one Oga that I will bring customers/referals for him for a percentage, that day I went home with N40,000. The thing shock me sef.

Why not keep that N20,000 somewhere safe and find something to do with your energy and time (which I also consider a valuable currency). Go into computer villa, Ladipo, Alaba, Onitsha market, Aba and make deals. You will come home to find the 20,000 smiling at you as you come home double it.
Then you have people you referred naa.

Take this solution and thank me later.

Come to Abuja. Visit Brekete Family. Request to see the Ordinary President or Akalamakala. The day your case will be treated on air will be the day you will receive your money. Don't sell your car if you haven't visited the ordinary president.

Thank you.

I forgot to add. The ordinary president will not take any penny from you rather he will even give you money to eat pending the resolution of your case.
so how is he making his own money?

i am very sorry to let you know that there is no serious way to recover your money as long as the law is concern, make that fool uncomfortable he will pay you your money, does he has a car ? whats the worth of the car, what else can you lay hand on, that will prompt him to pay, police or court is the way, both has failed the common man. imagine the money involve to legally get your money

guy if you will follow me to delta state, just all you need is he’s picture and name, just give am 5 days, he will borrow money and pay you else, he pay with his life and he’s family must still pay you else them too will follow

How can u be so sure? Na yourself u know, do u know the kind waka wey others don make? Abeg leave Mata.. Going spiritual is not the best. I was defrauded of 400k in 2012, I was advised here and there. I lastly went by the law enforcement, I rather spent additional money and didn't get my money back, instead the case was taken to court by the strict DPO and the guy was jailed.

Fast-forward 2016 again a guy defrauded me of 17,000. I ordered something online and he brought it doorstep, I made transfer immediately with my account debited. Only for him to claimed he didn't receive the fund, I suggested he wait a little to give me room to see if there would be reversal. Funny enough, the cash eventually entered his account and he received alert but because he was very hopeful that I would eventually make another payment, he kept quiet and took advantage of me. I made a fresh payment in cash this time after waiting for about 2hrs and I didn't get reversal..

I proceeded to my bank same day to fill transaction error form and I was assured I would get the pay back..

In a nut shell, the bank confirmed the transaction went through and the guy was alerted few minutes after..

I placed a call across, he still denied.. I proceeded to his bank (Diamond bank), his bank claimed their customer account details was confidential and could not be revealed to anyone.. I made hell of big threats and as God will have it, I was on military camo. The guy just turned the system screen facing me, "Oga your transaction went through and our system updated immediately, see ur transfer and when it entered his account". I left the bank and called him, he was still denying but as I mentioned to him that his bank has confirmed that he received.. He said in Igbo instinct 'Oyah wait make I call u back'.. Over an hour gone he didn't call back. I called his line and he was like.. Oh na true oh. I just dey see am now say the money enter.. But I dey village now bank no dey and network no good to return am, if i reach Lagos, I go pay u back.

2 weeks later, the story change. The guy was saying I should come and get him if I could. He clearly told me he had eaten the money and I should go and jump into lagoon if I like..

I talked to someone who I was so sure could just hurt him spiritually, but I thought of it, does 17k worth the gravity of what could happen to him? I might just end up regretting hurting him as no one have absolute control of spiritual infringements.

Though I felt challenged that any man could actually use such confrontational speech "go and do your worse" but u never can tell the outcome of the whole thing if going by his reckless statement.

That was how I sacrificed the money for hand stain..

If u cant afford to let go the money, go by human right and I believe that to be the best approach and mildest approach without blowing things out of proportion.

I can relate. You are right but this guy packaged the lies nicely. Note, I sent someone to visit his house and stay put before I made the transfer. He was able to manipulate things. The Dad said he gave the guy 5,000,000 naira sometime ago but he mismanaged it.
Also that he married first wife, sacked her, marry second one, sacked and when he wanted to marry the third wife, the dad refused but he went on with the marriage. So from findings, he is not in terms with the dad. Bro, a lot of stories. I am dieying silently. Some times I begin to ask the essence of living.

Who among you fears the LORD and obeys his servant? If you are walking in darkness, without a ray of light, trust in the LORD and rely on your God.--Isaiah 50:10

For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!--2 Corinthians 4:17

'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'--Isaiah 41:10

God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you-- 2 Thessalonians 1:6
