Yes,I am. My husband is a field engineer with 10years experience. Although his BSC was in Polymer and Textile Engineering but not practicing me.
I on the other hand,is a General practitioner with 4 years experience.

Experience will be zero (not relevant).

For you, I can't think of a stop gap occupation due to your experience except you start the AHPRA process which is long and expensive.

Alternatively, write the UK PLAB exams. After qualifying to practice in the UK, you can stay one year there and then move to Australia.

BSc Degree - Management Information Systems (earned in Cyprus)

Occupation - Management Consultant (non prorata occupation). Positive assessment from VETASSESS in April 2019 (no work experience given) - 15 points

Age - 24 (turns 25 by November). Let’s say 30 points by November

English test - will write PTE this month. Aims to secure 20 points.

Any chance she could get NSW nomination early next year with 70 points (state nomination points inclusive)?
Many states actually sponsor the occupation, even for 489, however, she wants to first explore the 190 option, since applicants will no longer be able to apply for 189/190 visa from 489 effective November this year.

Would you advise her to focus solely on 489 for NT/TAS or can she shoot for the NSW 190 visa option? Although, the occupation is also available for 189 but her chances would be very slim with 65 points.

She’s currently onshore in Brisbane on a subsequent entrant 485 visa (expires Oct 2020).

I don't think anyone can categorically tell you chances with state nomination as it is dependent on states doing their thing. However, I do know that for management occupations, nomination is not that fast Compared to engineering and science. Nevertheless, the only way to know her chances is to apply.

What does she do in Brisbane? How about the principal visa holder?

Wow...hearing this for the first time. Does it mean that rig workers aren't migrating to Australia.I heard that Engineers particularly off shore personnels have good prospect there.Thank you for your candid advice.

Australia is a very low oil producing country, rig workers are not on the skillselect list and the closest occupation to that is mining engineering excluding petroleum engineering. Mining related professions are also finding it difficult to migrate due to decline in mining activities in recent years.

In addition to my previous posts, getting state nomination while onshore is not that straightforward compared to those offshore.

Most states require onshore applicants to be living and working in their state or study in their state to be nominated.
