alBHAGDADI:LOL. People who are not saved. So you're saved abi? Your eternal life is guaranteed, right? Continue deceiving yourself. He who is standing should watch so that he does not fall. Nobody is saved. We are all pursuing salvation. It's a way of life, not a one time thing. |

goldcoinhub:Jesus Christ said he didn't come to abolish the law. He came to summarize it. Love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. If you look at the Mosaic law, these two laws are the foundation of this lengthy Mosaic law. Then you must give to God. Na by force but under this new law of freedom, you can give according to how it pleases your heart. Na yahoo pastors still they force or coerce people for money. |

Majorly referring to. According to whom? Is there any killing that doesn't result from contempt. isreal is not a good example, the battles they fought that were ordained by God were justified. God is the only being that can override a law. I cannot judge the case of soldiers killing terrorists, that is entirely in God's hands. But by virtue of the law, it's a sin. What happened to "do not repay evil for evil" ?So i am afraid you "purpose" argument does not hold. "A man that killed forcefully out of self defense or a man who kill a child by hitting him with a car". Again, within the purview of the law, only God can judge this cases, or forgive any man that does either acts. A man could hit a child with a car due to recklessness but unintentionally. Self defence is a grey area, what defines self-defence, how cases where a policeman kills someone thinking he brought out a gun when it was a wallet? stanliwise: |

alBHAGDADI:Fraudulent Pastors keep exploiting their sheeple, after all tithing is 10% yet some pastor receive as high half your monthly salary in this Nigeria economy, moreover tithing is not meant for me and you alone but for the whole nation (eg Nigeria, America) moreover tithing is something that is done to honour God not to fund pastors luxury lifestyle b4 u say times are changing remember God's Word never changes Can a person cheat God? Yet, you are cheating me! “But you ask, ‘How are we cheating you?’ “When ⌊you don’t bring⌋ a tenth of your income and other contributions. So a curse is on you because the whole nation is cheating me! “Bring one-tenth of your income into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house. Test me in this way,” says the Lord of Armies. “See if I won’t open the windows of heaven for you and flood you with blessings. Malachi 3:8-10 GW function of the church The church (body of Christ) should be refuge for people who have been cast down by the world afterall God choose the poor to be rich in faith, tith will enable the church to carry out this function, the church is not meant segregated people but to keep them together i.e Nicodemus open your eyes pastors no longer preach about the Holy spirit but you see them talk about tith everyweek ,(yet the spirit is life) you might not get my point but then this is just a thought |

Christianity is dogmatic in nature. Simple question need a straight forward answer ,yet the Christians keep begging the question without an answer. There was no christian in old testament yet the are forcing the law on us. Is Christianity the same thing as Judaism ? |

alBHAGDADI:A born-again Christian that does Yahoo Yahoo is eternally saved? Even those who sin deliberately? Haven't you come across the Scripture that says he who blasphemes again the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven? Or where Hebrews 10 vs 26 mentions that there is no sacrifice for sins for those that sin willfully? Please explain how these two instances do not nullify your teaching |
| Re: No Christians In Old Testament, Why Are They Forcing The Laws On Us? by lordtim001(m): 10:24pm On Jun 09, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI:Many Scriptures in the New Testament admonish us to abstain from sexual immorality. Immorality could be fornication, adultery, bestiality, incest, homosexuality. Besides, it is morally wrong in our society. Believe it or not, the New Testament already has enough principles that can be applied in our daily lives without leaving out the important aspects. For example, Paul in one of his letters mentioned someone who was engaging in immorality with his father's wife. And he put it in a bad light. It's simple logic. Another Scripture in the New Testament says that he who goes on hating his brother is a murderer. You don't need Cain and Abel's example to spell it out for you that hate can lead to murder and that murder is wrong. You don't need Exodus 20 to tell you that you shouldn't murder, steal or worship idols when 1 Corinthians 6 vs 9 and 10 mentions that people who engage in such things cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. It's pretty basic. We are not trying to cancel out the Old Testament because as you have previously mentioned, ALL SCRIPTURE is inspired. The basic point of the Scripture in Galatians is to stop picking specific aspects of the Law to follow, since you choose to follow it. Follow it in its entirety. Don't use it to support tithes and then disapprove of animal sacrifice or excreting wastes in bushes far away from your house ![]() |

benji93:you are beginning to condense to my idea of not following the law hook line and sinker and not following it to the letters, now your beginning to say I don't know, I don't know. God will judge. hahahahhaha. The bridge example I stated nkor? To push you harder, let us corner the self defense to what we call "justifiable suicide", where for example I shoot down a suicide bomber about to explode himself in a party. what do you call this one. So bro, "thou shall not kill" has a context and a purpose. Again Man were not made to serve the law but instead to serve God and the law were made to help us serve the lord. Mind you I am not one of the lot that justify there action claiming holy ghost told them this or that. I only see the law as and doctrines as a bundle of wisdom. Men are to know it very well and understand it thoroughly so that we know how it will help our christain journey. |

alBHAGDADI:Because it is sexual immorality... The Apostles were against it in Acts 15... Also, Jacob cursed Reuben for defiling his bed... and this happened in the era before the Law! Even Lot's daughters knew sleeping with their father was wrong...hence, they got him drunk to perform those abominable acts! This was also before the era of the Law... |

Well, let me clear you all on this matter. We 'live' in the new testament and we merely "learn" from the old testament. Our lives is from Jesus' resurrection upward. We do not live in the old testament. Many Christian's live like the Pharisees of Jesus' time. The Pharisees can be compared to modern day church goers. What we call "religious" people. They are not "Christians". They are merely doctrinal. Jesus always criticized these people in the Bible. The modern day Pharisees are what we see in deeper life churches or in many other churches in nigeria. We need to understand something. Jesus was not religious. He never tried to be. Whenever the Pharisees criticised him abt something. He fired back at them. He did miracles on the Sabbath and interacted with sinners. Jesus was rather radical. Not holy holy. He held feasts with his disciples, something equivalent to parties in our time. He turned water to wine at a wedding for people to CONTINUE drinking. He beat the shit out of people selling in from of the temple. He interacted with a prostitute. He never followed the doctrines of the Pharisees. ** About the commandments; Jesus said in Mark 12:28 to love God and our neighbour. Jesus has already paid for even the sins you've not committed. |
