The frog staggered into the midst of the demons party and fell in front of the mermaid king. Everyone paused in shock, the music stopped abruptly and the king rose on his fish tail.

"what happened!". he yelled.

"he killed Bibi". The frog said in a faint tone.

The mermaid kind moved closer to the frog and asked.

"you mean he attacked you for bringing him a news?".

The frog nodded and laid still. The mermaid king turned to his servants and said.

"take care of him". Then he turned to the demons. "He obviously want war! we are going to bring down all kakuka's and everyone who stands by them !".

The demons echoed an uproar. He lifted a hand, and they stopped.

"We are going to send a message to him right now to have a taste of what's coming to him. I need two very strong demons". The mermaid king said.

A large snake with a female head with long dreadlocks hair and two hands came out. A water in human form joined her, and another a monkey with lion head joined.

The mermaid king looked at them and said to the monkey.

"i think these two can do it".

One of the demons; a hairy man walked to the king and whispered to him.

"that monkey is a demon general".

The king raised an eye brow and nodded, then said to them.

"make sure our message is well received".

They nodded and walked away. Immediately the party began like nothing happened.

The president was having a press meeting. One of the journalist, a young boy in his early twenties stood up and asked.

"sir! we heard about the voodoo man responsible for the last few days horrific experience has been apprehended".

"you heard right". Khalid replied.

"another information reaching us says he has been taken away from the cell and no news about him since then".

"That is a classified information, for national security. Another question?". Khalid asked looking past the boy.

Suddenly an old lady putting on a traditional outfit in the press group screamed. Everyone turned to her. Her skin started peeling off to unveil a hairy monkey with a lions head. Everyone screamed in fear and before the place turned to a frenzy, the monkey grabbed a girl by his side and tore her into two, threw the other part towards the president.

The whole place was in a complete brouhaha. Many ran towards the exit and suddenly, a security man by the door turned into a big snake with a female head and hands in a split second, used its tail to sweep them all inside, picked a man and the boy who spoke earlier from the floor where they laid and threw them up simultaneously then flew into the hall and coiled facing Khalid. Khalid was completely overtaken by fear, he hid behind three of his bodyguards, peeping from behind them.

"take me out of here!". Khalid screamed in fear.

Few soldier men rushed in and opened fire on the snake and the monkey. Stray bullet hit some persons. The snake moved too swiftly for it's size towards the soldiers dodging the bullets, the monkey jumped on different directions using people as shield.

The snake got to the first soldier man, took his gun from him, gave him a blow that threw him against his colleagues, then jumped in their midst, used its tail to sweep them all away, they flew and fell on different directions.

Another group of soldier men came and wanted to open fire on the snake, but the monkey came from nowhere, picked up an hilux and threw on them, it crushed two and scattered the group.

The president quickly joined the group that were forcing themselves through a small exit.

"Get out of my way! I'm the president". Khalid said struggling to force himself through their midst.

His bodyguards pulled people away for him to gain assess. Then suddenly water pushed everyone back and trapped them all in. They all struggled to break free swimming around it with the president with them. Khalid looked at his bodyguards in the water and shook the one close to him. That one immediately turned to smoke and burst everyone out.

The water man turned to his man water form and moved circumspectly around them trying to go over the smoke men. They grabbed the president and zoomed off in the speed of light. Just then the snake and the monkey joined the water man.

"He is gone". The water man said to them.

"i think our work here is done". The monkey said.

"What about these ones?''. The snake asked.

"Get rid of them". The monkey said to the water man walking away with the snake behind.

A day earlier, in the car as Ishaw and Sam drove to the station, Ishaw cursed the idea of coming for the hunt at the first place, then turned to Sam who was still slimy and cursed again angrily.

They had driven for a few minutes when Sam pointed in front of him on the high way. Ishaw tried to see what it was but found nothing. Sam pointed again apprehensively, hitting the dashboard.

“hey! Stop that! You possessed child!”. Ishaw yelled.

An old lady suddenly appeared on the road and Ishaw was fast enough to dodge her. He packed the car by the road side cursing angrily. Sam looked behind him at the old lady who was slowly approaching and held Ishaw’s hand. He looked at the boys little grip and and slowly removed it, opened the door and walked to the lady.

‘Are you blind? As old as you are you’re not careful enough, you want to kill yourself do it somewhere else!”.

The lady smiled and brought out a tongue like snake. Ishaw saw it and said moving backwards.

“Shit! What are you?”

She looked at Ishaw’s car and point Ishaw out of her way absent mindedly and he flew into a nearby bush.

She slowly walked towards the car smiling with her tongue shooting out. Sam hid at the backseat of the car covering his face.

She moved her hand, and the doors of the car flew away. She smiled when she saw Sam hiding. Then she beckoned him over and a force pushed him towards her, a large claw sprang from her hands, she was about striking him when a gun shot hit her from behind. She fell on the car and Sam dropped beside her on the floor. Then she turned to Ishaw ominously. Again Ishaw fired severally and she retaliated with a fire ball from her hand towards Sam, a white light came out from Sam’s body and stopped it from causing much damage, as the force threw Sam into the car and She immediately hopped away like a frog into the bush.

Ishaw ran to Sam and asked.

“are you okay?”.

“I think I’m fine”. Sam replied scratching his head.

Ishaw was shocked and asked slowly.

“you can talk?”.

Sam then just realized he had spoken.

Sam was sleeping in Ishaw’s bed in a small untidy room when he heard his name, he opened his eyes and saw the burnt boy. He shush him and said.

“let’s go!”.

Sam was completely shocked to see him but said nothing as he followed him out of the house. They snuck out of the compound and started walking on the street.

“How did you find me?”. Sam asked.

“You can talk?”. The boy asked in shock

“it is a long story. How did you find me?”. Sam asked moving with the boy.

“I can smell you”. The boy said still wondering how he could speak.

“My dad is in trouble. I don’t know what to do”. Sam said.

“How deep?”. The boy asked.

“he is trapped in the forest”.

“By crazy grasses?”. The boy asked and stopped walking.

“Yeah, how did you know?”. Sam asked surprised.

“I know a lot”. The boy said, and continued. “The reason I called you was because I heard them talking about you. Heard they’ve gotten the book and your blood is seal the book”.

Sam stopped and looked at his friend with his mouth open.

“What?”. The boy asked.

‘’What book? Why my blood?”. Sam asked.

“what’s your name?”. the boy asked.

“you know my name, why are you asking?”. Sam retorted.

‘’your name is Idu. You and some of your friends read a book which unleashed hell on earth and…..”. Sam cut in on the boy.

“stop!stop!stop!”. Sam yelled closing his ears.

The boy moved closer to Sam but he moved backwards and then asked.

‘’What are you talking about?”. Sam retorted.

“Don’t worry. Let’s go save your dad first, maybe later ”. The boy said.

With that the boys walked down the street saying nothing to each other while Sam’s mind raced a thousand times around what the boy had told him.

And he ends up starting new stories. That's his problem. He was my favorite. But now,if I see any story and ghostwritter happens to be d writter,I'd pass. Cant stress myself.

"i'm tired! why cant we find a way out of here? it is hours already". Bruno said sitting under a tree.

Sandra who laid on one side thinking of her family kept mute. Bruno looked at her in anger and said.

"You're not saying anything? We are lost and hungry! And it's your fault!".

She slowly sat up and faced him.

"I thought you're a man, why are you whining like a woman? I should be the one complaining". Sandra said in a faint tired tone.

Bruno looked away. He was so hungry and thirsty. They have been roaming in the forest since the previous day and keep returning to the same spot they were.

A rustling sound came from a distance way. Bruno slowly stood up looking towards the direction with his gun in hand. Sandra too sat up looking in anticipation towards him. He his behind the tree and motion Sandra to stay out of sight with his eyes focused on what was coming.

Suddenly, an antelope surfaced looking circumspectly around, then it began grazing. Bruno excitedly took out his gun, aimed at it and was about firing when Sandra who too was excited stepped on a stick and spooked the antelope, it looked towards them abruptly and took off. Bruno turned to Sandra angrily and immediately chanced after the antelope.

Sandra walked about nervously, praying he caught it. She was terribly hungry and thirsty. It was already 30 minutes since Bruno ran after the antelope and few gun shots were heard. She expected him to return with either a bad news or good news, now she's becoming scared, thinking perhaps he had met some danger on the way.

She sat down eventually biting her nails and then stood up with the urge to go search for him, on a second thought hesitated. She didn't know what else to do, her tummy had already started knotting, and a feeling of using the toilet. Her greatest fear was being left alone in this forest. While she was still thinking, another antelope came out from another side of the bush grazing. She saw it and concluded that it was an evil antelope coming to lure them into the forest. Suddenly the antelopes ears stood as it looked sharply towards it front and ran back into the forest. She followed the direction and saw Bruno approaching with the antelope around his neck and blue can in his right hand.

She has never felt so relieved in her life like she felt. Immediately she ran to him and hugged him.

''Oh thank god you made it!". She said hugging him firmly to herself.

"Okay! Okay! Let go now, these weights are killing me". Bruno said breaking free.

"You caught it! wow!". she said happily.

''and also got water. I found a stream down the forest". Bruno said dropping the can in front of her.

She quickly opened it and drank her tummy full.

A young female mermaid was taking her bath in the stream when she heard footsteps approaching. She immediately hid herself and watched. Bruno surfaced with an antelope in his hand, dropped it and jumped into the water happily, screaming excitedly. She watched him curiously, that was her first time of seeing a human. The forest has made impossible for any human to get to that extent.

Bruno drank and bathed swimming on different direction. She remained hiding watching him. When he was done he looked around for something to fetch the water with, he stepped out of the water and walked about. The mermaid listened to what he was muttering and heard him say. "god! i need a can". She produced one and let it float towards Bruno. Bruno saw it and jumped into the stream, Retried it, fetched it full and walked away with the mermaid watching.

"what are we going to do!". A fat short dark man asked Khalid.

A light skinned lady in a green gown, long dark hair and necks, wrist, fingers laden with jewelries suggested.

"let us give them what they want. We can't challenge them, they're too strong for us!".

Khalid looked at the 24 Kakuka demons summoned and said.

"i have been thinking. They will us all even with my power as a president. I think we should make use of Igbudu".

The whole demons reasoned the statement in silence exchanging glances. Then one, a slim tall man in his fifties, putting on a white shirt and blue jean.

"I fancy your idea. I think we should consider it. But where's Igbudu? If he's not dead, he's about to be killed".

Khalid immediately took his phone and dialed a number.

"yes, have you found him?.....okay, don't kill him anymore, i need him alive.....okay, find him, fast!''. Khalid said and hung up.

The 24 kakuka demons around the table kept a steady stare at him. Then he sat down and said after a heave.

"they've lost his smell".

"does that mean he's dead?". One of the demons asked.

"i don't know!!!". Khalid yelled hitting the table with his knotted fist startling everyone at the table. Then continued after his rage subsided. "I pray he's not".

Crusial sat watching the Tv at Johns apartment. Her phone ran and she looked at the caller, it was principal again. He has been calling since the previous day relentlessly. She finally took it.

"hello!". she said coldly.

"where are you baby?".

"i'm fine!". she responded.

"come one baby, i miss you!".

"miss your wife for your own good!".

He laughed and said.

"you are the one punishing me baby. Please i want to see you".

She suddenly felt the need to eat him and smiled wickedly.

"okay. Get us an hotel. Send the address to me". Then she hung up.

She got into a blue leggings and a hood brown jacket. Sat in the sitting room waiting for the message.

After an hour later a call came on her phone. She took it.

'i'm at the hotel. Have sent the address to you". The principal said.

She said nothing else and hung up. Within 30 minutes time, she was standing at the door of room 5. She knocked once and the door flung open.

'hey sweetie". the principal said opening the door for her.

She walked in and removed her hood. The principal who was just in a blue boxers and his fat tummy very protruded held her and made to kiss her. She moved away and turned to the bed. He had taken a wrap of weed and 2 bottles of beer which were on a stool in front of the bed.

She suddenly like betraying John by being in a hotel with another man, even though she knew her reason for coming. This strange feeling weakened her as she couldn't explain what it meant.

She quickly took off her jacket and and leggings. She just want to get rid of this man. He came to her and started kissing her necks and grabbed her breast. She immediately changed and was going to bite him when she saw her face on the TV as a serial killer. Automatically, she changed back to her human form. Her mind raced to John. She prayed he didn't see it . Immediately, she pushed The principal away, Put on her leggings and Jacket. The confused man looked at her wondering what happened.

She stood up and rushed to the door.

"where are you going?". He asked.

She ignored him and ran straight to Johns house.

Sam and the boy boarded a taxi to the location where Zarac was taken. The taxi man, a fat dark man in an old green t shirt and a warned out gray face hat kept looking at the boys from his rear mirror, he wondered where why they wanted to go to that location alone without their parents supervision. After dragging with his curiosity he decided to ask.

"who are you boys going to meet there?".

The boys looked at his red eyes slightly visible from his face hat from the rear mirror and the boy said.

"our dad is there waiting for us".

The man nodded and continued driving. After about an hour drive, he stopped and they alighted paid him his money but he refused to leave, he looked out for the boys father and when he saw no trace of anyone, he alighted too and asked the boy.

"Take me to your dad".

Sam and the boy exchanged glances and the boy said in a soft tone.

"He's not here yet, we can wait for him...". he looked around for somewhere, then he spotted a shade under a tree and said. "...over there".

The man looked at the boys suspiciously and said.

"can i have his phone number?".

Sam quickly said without thinking.

"we don't have a phone!".

"don't worry good sir, we are going to be fine". The boy added with a phony smile.

The man then walked to his car, turned to the boys who stood looking at him, he hesitated for a while, then shook his head and shrugged before entering his car and drove off.

Sam waited for the car to go out of sisght before he said.

'' we're going down that hill".

The boy kept an amused stare at him for a while, and Sam saw him and asked.

"why that look?".

"it's funny! you can talk!". The boy said smiling.

Sam nudged him and started walking down the hill without waiting for his companion.

They arrived the spot Sam left Sandra and Bruno. The boy looked around, saw invisible things in the form of transparent men wondering about, then he said to Sam.

"this place is evil. Everything is alive here".

Sam nodded and said walking towards a narrow path.

"let's take this direction".

The boy said nothing, he just followed as they entered the forest.

Sandra and Bruno had finished roasting the meat and was enjoying themselves, eating hungrily.

"it's not really done, i can still see traces of blood". Sandra said mouth full.

"who cares! i was going to start eating it alive if not you who stopped me". Bruno said biting from a lump.

They laughed and joked while they ate, suddenly a bird cried so loud up a tree above them. They looked up simultaneously and saw a big black bird like a crow and a parrot about 4 feet tall. Bruno said circumspectly,

"i hope this is not going to put an end to our feast?".

They stopped eating watching the bird as it cried again and again looking down at them.

'what does it want?". Sandra asked.

"give it some meat". Bruno said,

Then pulled out the leg of the antelope and raised it up to the bird. The bird cried even louder and flew down raising dust as it flapped its big wings, they both took cover as it landed on the meat and carried it off.

Bruno said his head watching the bird fly off with the rest of the antelope. He heaved a sigh and said to Sandra.

"That god i saved this leg".

She was still in shock to understood what Bruno meant. Their small camp fire has been scattered by the bird. He dusted the meat and wrapped it up with his sleeve shirt. Sandra still in shock said while he was wrapping up the meat.

"what kind of bird was that?''.

"nothing surprises me anymore not after all i have seen these past days". Bruno said, looking for where to hide the meat.

Igbudu woke up after hours of sleep and looked around for anyone but met their absence. He slowly sat up holding his rip. water dripping from top the cave was the only sound in the cave. He managed to stand on his feet and slowly walked outside the cave to look for them.

"Grin!". Igbudu called as he walked out of the cave.

He stopped at the exit in shock when he saw the two snakelike men looking ominously at him. He slowly moved backwards limping , they followed him in looking only at him.

'where are my friends?''. Igbudu asked as he moved backwards, looking around for an escape route.

They said nothing but kept following him.

"They're with me!". Said a husky voice.

He looked towards the exit and saw a goat like man standing in the bright light.

'what an irony, the famous Igbudu at my mercy". The goat said as it walked in.

"what do you want?". Igbudu asked.

"same thing everyone wants, the boy!". The goat replied.

'i don't know where he is". Igbudu said.

"I know. But you are the key to making me the demon leader". The goat said standing in front of Igbudu.

"but i don't have my bag anymore, some smoke guys took it from me". Igbudu said, feeling slightly relaxed knowing the goat wasn't going to hurt him yet.

"so i heard also, but i know how to retrieve it". He said, then turn to the two snake men. 'these guys are faster than the speed of light, they can get it for me without stress, then you'll have to do the needful".

"what about the boy?". Igbudu asked.

"One of my demons caught his smell in this forest, but i think the forest is protecting him. Well, not for long". the goat said and smiled.

"where are my friends?". Igbudu asked again.

"That Grin guy owes me! I have something to settle with him". The goat said and turned abruptly behind him. "we have company".

The two snakelike men immediately set for attack. Suddenly, a black smoke moved in with speed towards Igbudu, but was intercepted by immediately by one of the snake men who jumped and pushed it off Igbudu. Another flew in and the second snake blocked it with its chest and flew up with it, four came into cave and covered the place up moving speedily. The snakelike men stopped stood in front and back of igbudu fighting off the smokes when they made attempt to take him. Another smoke spread around the cave turning everywhere dark.

The snake men held Igbudu's hand so he doesn't disappear from their care. One of the smoke men swiftly turned to a man and stabbed one of the snakelike men in the neck and turned back to smoke, another smoke turned to a man and cut the second snake's hand then turned back to smoke. They let go of Igbudu's hand and then the place was clear again but Igbudu was gone with one of the snake like men laid dead on the floor.
