You’re supposed to submit your passport alongside your application since you’re applying on paper.
However, I’m not sure if you can submit afterwards, maybe when you get a passport request.

A few of my success stories and testimonies:

I first applied for a study visa to Canada in April 2018 and was refused June same year with Purpose of Visit.
Second Application was in Feb 2019 and was refused the same month with Purpose of visit and travel history.

In both cases, I used the services of an agent and I applied with the M.eng (One year course based) admission letter
Shortly before my second application, I contacted Frankrobbn to assist proofread my SOP. Despite his kind assistance then with every effort put in place, I was still delayed. Then after my second refusal, I contacted Bracha who encouraged me not to give up and assisted with part of my SOP correction.

Sometimes in Jan this year, I had thought of switching from the Meng to Msc but getting supervisor was the issue. After a series of emails with usual "no funding, no space" responses, God finally came through for me and that marks the turning point in my Canada journey. I got a Prof willing to supervise me and provided the Stipend that fully covers my study around April and then I decided to reapply for the 3rd time in May 2019.

This time around,Qudkom came to my rescue. We talk extensively, exchange emails and I had to even travel to a neighboring city to meet this wonderful and kind guy that I didn't know from anywhere just to ensure I get it right this time. Anyway, no more agent as I am prepared to take all the advice of the gurus to do it by myself.

Few days to my submission date, I had to literally go through all of Franks past post to ensure all my T's have been crossed and I's dotted.

My special appreciation thus goes to Frankrobbn, Bracha and Qudkom who positively influenced my application in a way or the other
Every other guru: Makano, Justmellow and so many Monikers I may not mention. God bless your selfless efforts on this thread.

I need to also mention that I am advanced in age and I have never traveled outside Nigeria before and I also graduated university in 2006 with about 11 years working experience. Married with 2 kids but I decided to apply alone first.
This is to encourage someone not to really give up.

Nevertheless all human efforts, IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT WILLS, NOR OF HIM WHO RUNS, BUT OF GOD WHO SHOWS MERCY....

I got admitted into this university but English proficiency test results was a requirement of which I wrote IELTS..
I even had to ask them if it’s necessary since my first degree was in English and I’m from an English speaking country.. so they sent me a link and said I should check if my country is listed amongst the list they created and that if not, then I would need to write an English test.. mehn, Nigeria wasn’t among o but I was very surprised to see countries like Kenya, Zimbabwe... I was so shocked.
That’s how I later wrote IELTS o
Thank God I did well

Hello, please can you share the link to this. I mean the Sally's pattern. Thank you.
abusmanlouis:
Whatever you are going to study doesn't matter if you can follow rules below
✅Have financial Resources in your home country
✅Have solid home ties
✅Have a good Letter of Explanation (Very important).
LOE is one of the most important document among other documents. Your LOE must be convincing to the extent that devil himself will know that you carry special anointing.
30millions naira in your personal account as POF may not save you if your LOE is poor.(VO's gcms note word: Vague).
Sally in Part 15 wrote something interesting about a good LOE. She talked about how she wrote her LOE, wow that was the best LOE pattern i will recommend for SP newbies.
If you have a good LOE and all the CIC needed documents and they still refuse ur SP? Bro go beg your Village people and go baff
If your application is refused based on Travel history! Please seek JR because there is no law in IRPA that says application should be refused based on travel history

I just got admission to University of Lethbridge and as far as I know you actually have two options, you can either do IELTS before going or apply for their EAP(English for Academic purpose) which you will pay for(I can’t remember exactly how much I paid) The program is for a year.

I choose the EAP because it’s a better option for me. School resumes September/January and I don’t think I have enough time to prepare for IELTS.

what about medium of instruction?
sometimes medium of instruction replaces ilets.
I could remember when I applied to wageningen then, ilets or toefl was requested and I submitted medium of instruction. it was accepted and I got my admission letter for my MSc in 10days of application but not going this year again because the final selection for OKP scholarship didn't favour me.
I don't know if they take medium of instruction because am considering that school too for my MSc.

Try and contact the school as regards to that.. but I don’t think so
You either write any of these English proficiency exams or go for their English language program ... which you’ll pay for.. personally I think that option is more expensive and it takes about 3-4 months to complete the program.. so to me,either TOEFL or IELTS is a better alternative.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Philomathhh(m): 1:32pm On Jul 14, 2019
Even the almighty UToronto, McGill and UBC don't ask Nigerians for IELTS. I didn't submit anything concerning English language at McGill, and for UBC, I only uploaded the "English as a Medium of instruction" document.

If you have a very good GPA, just try those schools and forget IELTS/TOEFL and/or GRE.

It's called just student visa in Canada. f1 is just the American name.
There is no sevis fee or interview but there is a visa processing fee.
Go to the first page of the thread and follow the link of the first post, you'll find all the info you need. You can then ask questions if anything isn't clear to you.
