Blastedholligan: There is actually no cause for alarm It is only debt acquired while you are married that you are responsible for, you can only help her if you wish, its none of your fucking business Let her take the education loan before you marry her, and when you do, ensure she's doesn't take any loan, then you are safe bro 6 Likes |

Technically, you are going into slavery serving the lady to pay up her loan. With all other financial responsibilities in the US, that kind of student loan can take decades to offset if care is not taken |

Pack your things and leave, she is going to pay her loan they are not Nigerian women Beside the money isn’t much, she is going to get a job and pay it herself, you could even divorce her and move on if you are not satisfied and I am sure you won’t pay a cent out of the loan during divorce since she acquired it before you got married |

Oga u don't need to pay her loan. You are only obligated to pay any loan taken while both of you are married. |

See this oga. You think its Nigeria . EVERYONE in America has or had one big debt or the other. The Obamas had debts, Trump had and still has debts. Debt is how that country progresses. If you dont pay, not only can't you progress, you wont even get a good job. Infact without having credit card debt, you cant get a good job because most employers check credit score now and to have a good credit score you must have at least one debt. Whats bad is when you dont pay. The average American has a Credit Score of over 630 which is ok. Fair is 650 and above. Good is 700+ Excellent is above that. Even the millionaires have debt, they all pay mortgage on their homes including Tiger Woods and Magic Johnson and Tom Brady. The whole idea is that government doesn't want you to have to save all your life before buying the good things of life. The average 23 to 30 year old already can buy a brand new car and house worth N100 million naira. There is nothing bad in debt, whats bad is not paying or borrowing more than your capacity. 15 Likes |

Blastedholligan: I admire your honesty. I doff my hat to you Be honest with her. Let her know you're worried about your financial future, fearful of the loans she is taken that you'll be compelled to pick up the bill if it isn't paid. Tell her about your family that you feel obligated to help them out and that a huge financial burden may jeopardise that. Let her know that a poor financial footing is not a good foundation to start a marriage and money problems are one of the prime reasons marriages suffer shipwreck. Let her know you do not want a separation or a divorce. That once in, you're in for life. Let her know you don't want to use her to get a green card and that's why you're being open with her. That it maybe wise both of you call it quit. I also advise you to obtain that digital marketing skill. It will bring a lot of financial succour to you. Tell her to sleep over it. She'll get back to you and both of you will jaw jaw until you find a working solution. Please flee from adultery. It ruins marriages. And worse, the American court can rip you of all you have to give to your wife even if she's the one at fault. 6 Likes |

Americans don't think like Nigerians and their woman hardly depend on guys for money. You are the only one thinking you will have to repay loan for her and I bet you she doesn't even see doing that in the near future except it's what you decide to do by your own self which normally they don't like guys doing such for them. Don't be surprised that even with her loan she can still feed and cloth you wella knowing fully well you are from the poorest country in the world the way they see it. If you have the opportunity to go I will advise you go so that your mentality will also change. 3 Likes |
