Thank you all for your discussions here. Would like to inquire what happens after the ODVI stage?

Just did mine last Saturday.

Thanks.
When did you receive the mail for Ovd?

hmmn, possible hypothesis. But one question on my mine is for those that wrote the test on that first week before the first Sunday ODVI invites and haven't heard anything back.
Why send ODVI to some people and not others who did the same time. Although I did mine after that Sunday, it's a good question for those who did before that Sunday and are yet to hear anything

I guess that is where availability of departmental roles comes in.

I fear that those that received ODVI invite might not get a response to proceed to the next stage until after every successful candidates have been screened on the ODVI

I actually don't know enough about the recruitment process to offer any hypothesis myself. However, I understand your point of view.

Thanks.

I think its a batch by batch kind of thing so they can get the best candidates from each batch.

They Dont want to send it all at once so that they can take their time to study every applicants recorded video

Thank you for your answer.

Are you serious last week Saturday? Please when did you get your mail? Please also when did you write the cognitive test? And what department did you apply to? Thanks for your response

My goodness... You have so many questions. I actually need to check my mails over the particular timelines. However, I think I did the cognitive test less than 2 weeks ago.

Okay thanks will be waiting. Cause I want to confirm my stand. Wrote on Wednesday the 10th and also applied to production. But still waiting for a feedback from them since then.

Got this from a friend and thought it would be cool to share.

While we all await and keep anticipating for an ODVI invite, I implore us to be very prayerful and hopeful. Also we can explore other opportunities, but please let us all keep in mind that our attitude and choice of words says a lot about our personality during an interview regardless of how qualified, skilled or experienced we are or how properly and carefully structured our CVs are.

Poor written English, grammar and shorthand are just not appropriate and totally unacceptable. These are common mistakes made by job applicants and interviewees.....Let's pay close attention and be guided.

All the best to us all as we await the good news!

This is the most logical explanation i have received from this thread so far. I has done a lot of research trying to figure out how this shell recruitment process and judging from historic events (from 2017 shell recruitment), exxon mobil and the rest, the thing they all have in common is "the waiting list", which i think virtually everyone who hasn't received an ODVI invitation so far, has automatically been enlisted into. One basic thing you should all have in mind is that, a company like shell wouldn't waste time reviewing thousands of applications through humans despite the level of technological advancement (AI, High-Speed Computers 等等). The truth of the mater is computers are the backbone of this recruitment process. Ask yourself this question, "why does shell have to wait exactly 24 hrs before sending you a love letter when test is computer based?". Was the computer so slow in computing your result from the test in order to notify you immediately? Its a definite NO. Its just part of the psychological aspect of the recruitment process meant to keep you guessing for some time, and probably distract you from actually seeing the automated aspect of the process. Shell already knows what they are looking for and I'm sure they won't keep you waiting if you fit the profile as is evident in the case of those that has already received the the ODVI invitation. As for those currently on the "waiting list", my advice is to take your mind off this process and stop waiting for shell's message, because to them, you're just a backup plan, (you know, just in case there happened to be a flaw in the process and some of the selected people turned out wrong).
Note** This is just my opinion which could be wrong if................ otherwise happens

On a personal note, I acknowledge that the country is difficult, and everybody dey hustle to make quick money, but I think there's a lot more that can be done in this country. Most of us are gallant graduate engineers, which unfortunately, the country doesn't really believe in. If only we could step up a bit, unleash the creativity in us and persist towards commercializing efficient solutions to our immediate problems using our knowledge, there would be no room for shell to make us look stupid. So, I use this platform to encourage you towards becoming employers of labour rather than becoming labour grin. Thanks................

All these assumptions and speculations because of 2 or 3 people that claim to have received ODVI invites will soon be put to rest when the main ODVI invites start dropping.
All the different theories like waiting lists & Co. too.
I just want to urge all who have written the test and have not received regret mails to be patient, and as much as possible, start preparing for the ODVI.
ODVI is part of the preliminary stage of this recruitment process, and it defies logic that a company like Shell will just pick 2 or 3 people from the first week of application and send them ODVI, and then keep others in waiting list. How will they then hire the best brains and most qualified, which is of course their target.
Someone may ask why I think it's just 2 or 3 people. It's because I belong to many groups regarding this recruitment. And the 3 people ended up providing exactly the same SCREENSHOT as their proof of ODVI invite.
TIME will certainly set all these things straight.
Shalom!

Hello Sir/Madam,

You have points in all you have said but NOTE

this life is a competition. We all compete with each other without knowing.
All this you have said have been existing before now. Everybody want to be a winner. Everyone wants to live a good life. In BBN, not because one person wants the other to be evicted means that person is bad. Its a game of success. If someone gets a regret mail, everyone say sorry bro, move on... If someone gets the ODVI, its normal to ask how and when he got it because everyone wants to reach that position. asking does not mean the person is jealous or having a bad mind. The fact is that the person want to know why he has not gotten the invite or what should be expected to get the invite .....

When people say the ODVI is not legit as it looks fake, they do not say so because they are not happy , but they say so because Nigerian can be very dubious .. They can post a fake ODVI picture and use it to collect money from others in Need. That is why they say ' OPEN YOUR EYES AND SHINE IT VERY WELL'

My dear, the world today is changing. People are just being careful.

Hope you understand. Thanks
