waynee2baba:He shouldn’t go for private na, he will have problem with applying for PGWP. He should vex and pay the money...consider it as an investment. Sought out your supervisor before applying if thesis based. |

Hi guys, my biometrics status changed from "we do not need your fingerprints..... " to " we need your fingerprints to process your application, check the messages below" no message below. I had my biometrics enrolment on July 2nd. I'm worried, has this happened to anyone before? |

Yeah exactly. I don't see why he can't budget couple of 100s if he can afford to study in Canada. Every decision we take in our lives is a risk (anything can happen) if you look at it from a good perspective. Blema111: |

Hello Gurus I’m on the verge of submitting my Application, i would like you guys to help criticise and suggest where necessary.. No travel history, No study Gap Bsc Electronic and Computer engineering, Got admitted into Meng Electrical and Computer Engineering, NYSC was completed June 2019, I’m 23 Finance Going to Uwindsor in Jan,2020 and my Tuition is 27,500 CAD. My Uncle in the US is my sponsor, I identified he has paid my Confirmation deposit of 4000 CAD and He also transferred living expenses of 10000 CAD to my Dom acct. In my letter of introduction of sponsor I highlighted he would be Supporting me with 4 million Naira every year for my Tuition and Living expenses (it’s a 16 months program tho) . His acct shows balance of 20m + , nolump sum Do you guys think i can go ahead with this ? |

Congrats, please what do you mean by you didn't submit up to 4 months statements and made bulk payment. blackfarmer1510: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 7:17am On Jul 24, 2019 |
olalemii:I might be wrong, but I think the math doesn't add up. He is your sole sponsor and he is committing only #4mil towards your study? Lets do the calculation: Tuition fee - $27,500 = #7.6mil(at the rate #274/CAD) Living expenses - $10,000 = #2.8mil He paid #2.8($10,00) into your account which will cover for your living expenses He promised to pay #4mill(towards your tuition) So, after deduction and everything you will have a deficit of around #3.6mil to pay towards your tuition, who is going to pay that? Unless you have your own fund or your uncle is willing to pay the full tuition of around #7.6mil then you will have issue with fund |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 7:25am On Jul 24, 2019 |
Purplestorm:CIC require applicants submit their SOA with the last 4-6 months history but the one he submitted was not up to 4 months. In the case of lump sum, imagine if the highest amount that has entered your account at once is let's say 200k(since you opened the account) then all of a sudden because you want to apply for visa a huge sum(let say 2mil is now deposited into your account), that's a lump sum. There is no much issue with lump sum as long as you explain the reason why the payment was made |

olalemii:I think your profile is perfect! However, considering that you're using a third party Sponsorship (uncle) as primary proof of funds, you will have to establish strong proof of relationship with him before putting in your application for a study permit. Documents like, mother's attestation of birth showing that she once shared the same family name before she got married to your father, your uncle's US international passport bio data page and tax documents, a well detailed and analyzed family tree in your SOP showing her your uncle and mother is related right from their immediate parents down to your generation. It would also help if you can include evidence of past or history of ongoing financial support from uncle, which can be proof of undergraduate tuition receipts, or bank transfers. Furthermore, uncle should clearly state in his letter of Sponsorship the reason for sponsoring your Canadian education, what he stands to gain as a result of this Sponsorship and must certify the visa officer that sponsoring your education abroad won't pose to be a burden to his family, business or personal welfare. Documents evidencing his income like employment letters/business documents should be suffice. Lastly, uncle should increase his annual commitment, as the stated 4M is not adequate enough to cover for your subsequent year of study bearing in mind that living expenses is 10KCAD. I wish you the very best |

Good day to all gurus in the house, I seriously need your help the guru in the house. I got my refusal mail on 9th of july 2019. I applied for Bsc Health programme at university of Regina. But intend to reapply for a masters programme in Agric my major undergraduate focused area. However I'm yet to receive a mail to go pick up my passport at vfs in lagos since I got my rejection mail because I applied through paper route. Please I need the gurus advice on how I can get back my international passport and how I can also repackage my application. I will appreciate all gurus contributions on my case. Bellow is the my refusal mail. I look forward to your prompt reply. Thank you all.! Final Decision Letter Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. + + + + You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. Sincerely, IRCC Nairobi High Commission of Canada to Kenya www.cic.gc.ca |

alubarikalomo:Someone advised you to state your profile and documents submitted. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 8:20am On Jul 24, 2019 |
alubarikalomo:I regret to hear your study visa application was rejected and you're yet to receive your passport back after two weeks a decision was reached on your application. I would suggest you send a CSE to the Kenya, Nairobi Immigration office reporting this issue and requesting that they should expedite the transmission of your passport. The subject of the mail should bear URGENT, along side your FULL NAME, UCI NUMBER, APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH. Attached is the email address for your reference: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca Also do this using the webform so as to receive a speedy response: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=Nairobi First and foremost before you think of reapplying, I would strongly advise that you should apply for a direct master's program that is reasonable in light with your previous studies and current activity. This will solve the issue of purpose of Visit in your next application. Current employment Situation can be as a result of inadequate document to proof your current job role in the company where you presently work. Thus, a reference letter detailing your job start date, job responsibilities and duties, pay stubs for the past 4-6 months, employment ID, a comprehensive resume history of your past employment, salary bank statement (if any) showing inflow and outflow of salaries into your account. With regards to personal assets and financial status - include your parents landed property documents or your personal landed documents, bonds, investments in the bank and personal salary statement (if any). |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by kcosam: 8:39am On Jul 24, 2019 |
My dear, the best thing to do is to get all your referees to print their reference letters on an official letterhead and sign, then sealed in separate envelops and sign across the sealed envelop, then mail to the school through DHL, NIPOST, UPS, or any Currier company, that will make the reference letters official and acceptable. BTW. Sending the printed letter through scanning may still be considered as unofficial, so the best bet is to mail the hard copy. NwanyiOkpa: |

Frankrobbn1:@Frankrobbn1 your comment means a lot to me I really appreciate ... Well, He is my paternal uncle, his reason for sponsoring me was because; "I have been a responsible and serious minded individual and it would be something of joy to him to see me excel". His children are all above 18 so his wife is his only dependent The only ish here is he hasn’t sponsored me prior to this moment i hope that won’t pose any issue, lastly will 8m suffice since he has paid my living expenses already Thanks in anticipation of your Comment |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 9:39am On Jul 24, 2019 |
olalemii:I don't think you understand my point, your program is for 16 months only and your tuition fee alone is around #7.6 million (I want to believe for the first year/9 months). The #4million he is committing towards your tuition fee isn't enough to cover it that's why I asked who will pay the balance of around #3.6 mill? Your uncle has covered your living expenses already by paying the required $10,000 into your account, now he needs to also cover the entire tuition fee of #7.6mil , the #4mil is way off the total tuition fee. Hope you g t what I am saying now? Let him commit more fund(additional #3.6mil) towards your tuition fee(since he is your only sponsor ) NB: The deficit might not be up to #3.6mil for the first year, but you have to fix that. Work on your funds and make sure it balances |

daomi:Yes you can but securing visa will be very very difficult (though nothing is impossible). As you will need to explain what you have been doing all there years, why you decided to start now, why Canada and not Nigeria(where it will cost even less to get a degree).....so many questions you will need to answer and not just answer but also convincingly. State your profile let's see how to make your case a little bit easier |
