First time here. First time reading a literature in a long while and I happened on ironkurtain's work. Damn! Impressed bro.

You should turn this into a source of income. FULL-TIME. You talented bro. Infact I would spend the next weeks doing some research on this and present to you if you open to the idea.

By the way, my honest opinion n observation. Pls localize the characters and setting. So someone like me can own and picture the scenes more vividly. Eg. If the Eric, Anton and gang fight had happened in our own kind of bar (beer parlour). It would b more vivid n.enjoyable to me. If olivia was addicted to weed or codeine rather than meth/heroine (I am not sure we av these drugs here) it would paint a clearer pic. I know these things might be difficult due to the nature of the story but you could try. Not trying to rain on your parade though, just my 2cents.

Kudos. Great job! I will go back to ghostmode n silently await your next update

Thanks for the comment bro. I'm always open to every ideas, pls do that if u can. And concerning the story settings, i would love to do that but being someone not living in our country Nigeria, i might find it very difficult cos i have to live and experience the everyday lifestyle in order to be able write a story that will relate to the way things operate in Nigeria. That's why my stories are mainly a fictional Africa country that is well developed like the western world. Thanks again for the comment and waiting to hear more from u.

I want u to read my other stories.

"So where is she?", Anton demanded without looking at Brad.

Brad stared at Anton for a shortwhile and said, "Somewhere".

"And where is the somewhere", Anton asked.

"I don't know",

The answer prompted Anton to take an angry swing at Brad. The fist loudly clobbered the big man across his face and sent him to the ground like he took a hit from a wrecking ball.

"You gotta take it easy with that damn hydraulic hammer fist", Jim said with a little bit of concern as he stared at Brad groaning painfully with blood and a tooth spilling out of his mouth.

Just like all the few members of the OMEGA-TEAM special force; the country's toughest soldiers, he too carried alot of strength and was well known for his punching power that could knockout a bison. Anton was the only person he had considered to be on the same level as him. But he was surprised to see that his friend still had it in him even after years of living as a civilian. It made him to doubt his position as the best hard hitter among their team.

"I warned him", Anton said and proceeded to heave Brad back to his former position, Jim helping him to do so. "I always give the warning".

Then Anton stood infront of Brad again, rubbing his knuckles while the man moved his hurting jaw and gazed at him. "Are u gonna give me an answer or do you want me to repeat the performance again?", Anton asked.

"I told you i dont know!", Brad groaned.

"Give me a reason why i should believe that bullsh!t?".

"I can't tell you what i dont know! My job is to watch the girls and deliver them to people like you!".

"And also killing them too", Jim said and gave Brad a murderous look. "You gonna be rendered the same service if you dont speak up. I will make sure of that. And i dont let bastards like you go so easily", he added coldly.

Brad threw glances at Anton and Jim. He had already gotten the taste of what the former could do and definitely dont want to go through the later who looked bigger and tougher. "I only take orders from the boss", he said with saliver and blood dripping from his mouth.

"And one of the orders was to make Abigail to disappear", Anton said.

Brad groaned and bowed his head. Then Jim hissed and impatiently dipped his hand inside the inner pocket of his jacket. He slipped out a wicked looking knuckle brass and slipped it on his right hand.

"Still carrying around the iron priest?", Anton smirked on seeing Jim brandishing the weapon.

"Someone is about to squeal his confessions", Jim muttered and took off his jacket.

Anton stepped aside for Jim. "I warned you pal....and unlike me, this guy is the kind of person that will brutally kill you and go shoot at your folks during your funeral including mother, if you dont tell him what he wants" he said to Brad.

"Thanks for the introduction", Jim said and stepped forward to start bringing the pain.

"There is a guy that takes care of other business for the boss", Brad coughed, taking the threat seriously.

"Who is this guy?", Jim demanded.

Brad coughed again. "His name is Tom.

"Go on, no one said that you should stop talking", Anton insisted when Brad remained silent.

"He works with another guy named Tony", Brad continued. "They handle all the important jobs". He looked at Anton. "They are the ones responsible for handling the deal that involves Abigail".

"And what is this deal?", Anton demanded.

Brad sighed. "I dont know all the details, but i heard that a foreign client came into the country for an operation. A heart surgery.

"I guess Abigail is the one who's suppose to provide the heart for the surgery", Anton said.

Brad sighed again. "Her blood and organs was the perfect match", he said.

Jim narrowed his eyes at Anton. "What the f@ck is he talking about? That they are organ dealers?", he asked.

"And those people, the debtors that allegedly bailed on your boss. I guess their organs were given to some other clients too", Anton said to Brad.

"I don't know. Tom and Tony are the ones that handle that business", Brad said.

"One hell of a way to pay a debt", Jim murmured thoughfully.

"You can see that this is not some captain-save-a-hoe situation", Anton said to Jim. "And it gonna require more than just kicking the front door down and rearranging faces", he continued and looked at his friend.

"Yeah, we need more resources", Jim agreed. "But it is the blowbacks that i'm worried about", he continued with some concern in his tone of voice as both men stared at Brad.

"What are they gonna do to him", Olivia asked after catching up with Marie who was now descending the stairs.

"I thought i already told you, i hate repeating myself", Marie replied coldly.

"I hope it wont be done in my apartment", Olivia said breathlessly as she tried to keep up with Marie's quick pace.

"My advice to you is to get the f@ck out of town and find a new apartment in whichever f@ck place you find yourself in", Marie muttered, still sounding cold. "And dont ask me where to go cos that's your f@cking business".

Olivia sighed and started thinking of the posible places she could relocate. She couldn't think of anyplace at all. This town has always being her home, where she grew up and where her family lived. The thought of family then brought up a bigger concern that made her stop in her tracks; it was her grandmother.

Olivia's grandmother was her only surviving relative and the old woman stayed in a group home for the elderly with disabilities. The home wasn't the best the country could offer but her grandmother was well taken care of and that was the reason why Olivia was doing what she was doing. The care didnt come cheap at all. But as long as her granny was in a comfortable place, she wouldn't mind doing whatever it takes to make the old woman remain in that place.
Now, with the situation at hand which is Donnie wanting her dead, her grandmother could also be in danger too. Donnie always has a way of finding those that are close to the people working for or him or the persons he's dealing with. And violence or threat of it to them was the leverage he always used to get what he wants. That was how he got to know about Abigail and made her work for him through her brother.

Marie noticed that Olivia wasn't following as they were about to exit the apartment building. "You gotta hurry up your ass", she said irritatedly.

But Olivia remained where she stood with terror in her eyes as she stared ahead of Marie. Something more sinister than her grandmother's possible bad situation had gotten her attention. And the danger sign was two black Chevy Suvs that were parked several metres away from the apartment building. She had recognized the two vehicles; Donnie's henchmen.

Marie turned her attention to where Olivia was staring. She too saw the two cars. They weren't there throughout the time she had been watching the apartment before Brad arrived.

"Do you know them?", Marie asked.

"Yes", Olivia replied quietly. "Donnie's men....the very bad men", she continued slowly.

Seeing that Olivia's position placed her out of the vehicle occupants' line of sight, Marie causally move one hand behind, taking her time not to arouse any suspicion from the occupants of the car that had probably seen her. She motioned her fingers at Olivia; a gesture to her to go back into her apartment. Olivia understood the sign and quietly did so.

"We have to find those men and do it fast cos we are probably running out of time, as long as the client is already in the country", Anton said to Jim, said with some concern.

"Perhaps it's already too late....but we still have to fid them anyway", Jim said. Then Jim took out Brad's cellphone. "I want you to call those men, any of them and find their location", he ordered their prisoner and held the device infront of him.

Then the cellphone started ringing. And so did Olivia hurriedly entered the living-room. Jim glanced Anton, and at Olivia with an inquisitive look on his face when he saw the expression on her face. Then he returned his attention back to the cellphone that continued ringing and checked the number.

"Who is this?", he asked and held the phone infront of Brad.

"It's the boss", Brad replied after a quick look at the number.

"I guess he wants to know if the job is done", Anton muttered.

"What do we do?", Jim asked and looked at Anton.

Anton gestured at him to hand over the cellphone. Jim did so. Anton put the device on speaker mode. And then pressed the answer button.

"Is it done?". Donnie's voice came out loud and clear from the speaker.

Anton hesitated and looked at Olivia who paced closer and stood beside them. He wanted to ask her why she wasn't in the car with Marie but decided to do it later.

"Brad talk to me!, is it done?", Donnie's voice asked again.

"Not yet my friend", Anton gave a reply to the question. Jim gave him a look that said if it was the wise thing to do at that moment. "Your man is kind of busy, busy providing me with some information about the whereabouts of Abigail", Anton continued. "And the other girl seems more than willing to do the same after finding out the kind of motherfucker you are".

A long pause followed. Everyone in the room waited, listening to the sighs and breathing coming out of the phone speaker and waiting for Donnie to say something.

"I can see that you are one real pain in the ass", Donnie finally said.

"Well that's what i am, especially to people like you", Anton said. "And it's about to get worse cos soon you will rather prefer a pine tree being shoved up that ass when we get to you. That is a promise".

"Oh yeah, arent you worried about what's gonna happen to your wh@re friend before that promise is fulfilled, that is, if you even get the chance to do so".

"It's like you havent figured out that i'm the kind of guy that gives zero f@cks about anybody or anything, but hurt that girl and you gonna wish you werent born".

"Okay then, we will see about that", Donnie's voice said coolly but with some anger in it. "And tell your new friend Olivia that the same thing gonna happen to her and hers gonna be worse".

"I didnt.....", Olivia began but got cut short when Donnie ended the phonecall. "Oh God", she murmured with a downcast gaze. Then she looked at Anton with a disturbed look on her face.

"What's the matter?", Anton demanded.

"My grandmother", she replied. I think Donnie is gonna hurt her".

"Is he aware of her and where she lives?".

"Maybe"

"How are you sure about that?".

"He will, Donnie always finds out.

Anton and Jim threw a glance at each other. Then Anton thought for a shortwhile, took out his cellphone and dialled a number. As he did so, Brad's lips curved into a smile....and he started laughing with his eyes on Olivia.

"What are we gonna do?", Olivia asked nervously.

"Yeah what are we gonna do", Marie sang as she stepped into the living-room. "She said his peeps are waiting outside", she said, jerking her head at Brad.

"What?", Jim muttered.

"And she is right cos two men just got out of the car. They are making a surveillance of the area, more of them are in the cars and it looks like they are about to tear sh!t up", Marie continued. "It's like we got some heavy situation in our hands boys".

Brad's laughter started getting louder. Marie gave him an evil stare. Olivia got more scared.

"More than just kicking the front door down and rearranging faces", Jim repeated what Anton had said earlier and looked at his friend. "What are we gonna do?", he asked.

"First i gotta call in a favour", Anton replied as he called the number. "What's your granny's name he asked Olivia.

"Agnes...Agnes Simmons", she replied.

"Where does she lives?".

"She is in a group home, Saint Mary group home".

"Where is the place?".

"Trenton boulevard".

"Hello jumpman....", Anton began after the phonecall was answered. "Still got nothing doing?", he asked and listened to the voice rasping out of the phone earpiece. "I know...i know, but i have an emergency and i want you to take care of it". Anton paused briefly to listen to the response while the rest stared at him, wondering what he was doing. "Dude calm down i know that.......hey! f@ck the flight itinerary! i will get you a first class ticket with the best service. I just want you to go pick up someone....and this person might be in some kind of trouble....". Anton listen again. "I dont have enough time to explain the situation, just handle it accordingly, by the way, are you staying at the usual place?....good, the place you will be doing the pick up is quite close and i want you to hurry up, i mean, to really really hurry up, just stop whatever you are doing and go there as fast as you can. I will text you the name of the person and address. And...if any unscrupulous individuals wants to start an ugly situation, i want you to do them good, i mean some 'rider-evil-motherfucker' sh!t". Then Anton ended the phone call.

"Rider evil motherfucker? Did you just call the grim reaper?", Marie snorted. "So what next playboy?".

"We gotta go", Anton said as he urgently sent a text message and glanced around the apartment.

"Where?", Marie asked. "We got men outside who are probably heavily armed.

Anton looked at Olivia. "Any neighbour living in this building that you know very well?", he asked her.

"Huh?". Olivia was so lost in thoughts to know what was being asked.

Anyone in this f@cking building that you are also f@cking or doing dope with?", Marie asked loudly and irritatingly, making Olivia to shudder abit.

"Yeah, i know someone....on the next floor ", Olivia nodded. "But i dont know if he is....".

"Take us there", Anton interrupted, got hold of Olivia's arm and dragged her towards the door.

"Wait! What about him?", Marie asked and pointed at Brad.

"You take care of him", Jim said as he followed Anton.

"How?".

"Just let him go. I dont care how you do it...and do it fast!".

Marie sighed and turned her attention to Brad as the other three exited the apartment. Brad stared back at her with a smirk on his swollen lips.

"So are you gonna cut me loose or what", Brad asked. Then Marie went and stood behind him, resting both hands on his shoulders. "Don't worry my dear, i will tell them to go easy on you", Brad chuckled.

"Okay", Marie said quietly and snapped Brad's neck with a sharp head twist. "Please do that in hell....my dear", she continued as Brad's dead body crumbled to the floor. Then she hurriedly left the apartment to join the rest.

Re: Last Gang Standing 2: Killers and Fallen Kings.(Crime). by ironkurtain(m): 8:22pm On Jun 21, 2019
Six more men got out of the black Suvs and joined the other two that were standing and surveying the neighbourhood. They were all dressed in an all black combat fatigues, brutish looks on their faces and all well built. Two of the men carried a black duffle bag that they carelessly dropped on the ground after the last man exited the vehicle; he's the leader of the group, it was obvious from the way the rest focused their attention at him when he stood amongst them, smoking a cigarette with a cold look on his face. His name is Jason Biggs, the leader of a murder for hire crew known as the "Bump Crew" and a close affiliate to Donnie. A mercenary and a cold killer with no regards for anybody or anything.

Jason took off the darkshade covering the steely look in his beady eyes and surveyed the apartment building blocks and its surroundings. He took another drag from his half smoked cigarette as he took note of the activities going on in the area and the people; there are few people around and less activities which was normal in the neighbourhood during the hours of mid-day. Then he looked at the parked Mercedes that belonged to Anton. He took a quick glance at the number plate and looked at his men.

"He is still here", he began and looked at another car; a black Lexus sedan that belonged to Marie. "And probably with someone else too", he continued and turned his attention back to the men. "So you all know the drill. I want two men on the first three floors of the apartment. The two in the floor of the target apartment should go in and let loose on anything moving in the place. If they are not in there, send the message to rest and then carry out a door to door search on every apartment in the building, always stay ready and shoot to kill".

The men nodded. The two with the duffle bags unzipped it and every men reached for its contents; UMP 45 assault rifles, AK-47s, countless magazines and black ski-masks. The men slipped on their masks, locked and loaded their weapons, made the few miscreants that were hanging around the place to scamper away for safety and hurriedly entered the building housing Olivia's apartment.

"So how is your day?", Eric asked the female receptionist with a friendly smile and readjusted the collar of the white hospital overall he was wearing.

The receptionist, a plain looking woman in her late twenties and somewhat tall due to her slim figure, pursed her lips and nodded with a less concerned look on her face. She was busy with her fingers incessantly working the computer keyboard infront of her and eyes keenly staring at the screen.

Eric maintained the friendly expression and stole a quick glance at the name tag pinned close to the woman's bossom, and then looked at clock on the wall behind her. Feeling abit unsettled and quite uncomfortable in the stolen hospital overalls he was wearing, Eric surveyed the lightly crowded reception lobby of the group home for the elderly, taking note of the activities going on in the place, just as he had done outside the building of St Mary group home before going inside the place.

Eric was quite familiar with the activities of places that rendered healthcare services, but somehow he was feel abit nervous. A feeling that was quite foreign to him no matter the situation at hand. Maybe it was because of him being in an unfamiliar territory......country, trying to carry out an unplanned operation given on a short notice. Or perhaps it's because of one of the strict rules of The Family, an organisation he works for; the rule that the Sosai, the head of the organisation and his grandfather, had personally told him to adhere to. And the rule was for him to never engage in any operation whatsoever, unless it was sanctioned by the organisation. This was the number one and golden rule he must respect, especially he being one of the top members of The Family.

Eric looked at the wall clock again and then at the receptionist, maintaining a calm composure before the woman who steadily threw curious glances at him as she checked her computer screen. He was now hoping that Chris, the computer-wiz, would work his computer magic and do it fast before the unfriendly looking woman start getting really suspicious.

After a few more minutes of staring at the computer screen, the receptionist shifted her dull eyes to Eric and gave him a steady gaze. "I'm sorry sir, but i can't find any document that you claimed was sent from your hospital", she began with a resigning sigh. "It's not in our log".

"Oh really?", Eric feigned a look of confusion.

"Maybe i should call the hospital....and confirm if....". the woman reached for the telephone on her desk.

"Why dont you check again", Eric suggested immediately, interrupting the woman and stopping her hand short from picking up the telephone handle. Now she was regarding Eric with a suspicious look on her face and this made Eric to start devicing an exit strategy incase the situation takes an unfavourable turn.

The woman maintained the suspicious gaze at Eric for a shortwhile and then looked ahead of him. She focused her attention at a particular man among the visitors who were seated in the lobby and waiting for their turn; the man was sitting alone, legs crossed with his cold eyes going through the newspaper he held infront of him.

"We are really really busy over there", Eric continued in a friendly tone of voice. But the receptionist still stared at him suspiciously. "I mean very crazy busy and you know these rich folks and the requests that they make at a short notice. Worst of all, we just got back online after a massive crash in our computer system.

"So?", the receptionist muttered coldly.

"So maybe it's the computer problem or perhaps our worker is yet to send the document to you", Eric replied. "But please do check again....and then make the call if the document doesn't show up".

Eric sounded convincing. It made the receptionist to slowly withdraw her hand from the telephone. And face the computer screen.

After a few clacks of the keyboard, sighs and shifting her weight uncomfortably, the woman stopped and took a closer look at the computer screen. And at Eric with a faint smile that brightened the cold look on her face. Then she picked up the telephone handle, pressed a number and spoke several inaudible words in the mouthpiece.

Eric smiled. Chris has done as he had requested.

"Sorry for the inconvenience sir", the receptionist apologized after replacing the phone handle.

"Aww it's no fault of yours", Eric said kindly with a nod. "I know how this field of work can be and what it could to do to one's state of mind", he continued.

"Yeah", the receptionist agreed and seemed to be opening up abit. Then she sighed and said, "Actually i was having alot of concern cos not long ago three men came here demanding to see the same person that you want to pick up".

"Oh really?", Eric furrowed his eyebrows. "Who are they?", he asked.

"They said that they were her relatives. They were really impatient about it and....". the receptionist paused to take a quick glance at the man reading the newspaper. "And they looked kind of strange and shady-like, a rogue's gallery of characters if you asked me".

Eric chuckled and took a casual glance around the lobby.

"Two of them looked kind of scrappy with no emotions on their face. The third one that made the demands has this creepy smile on his face", the woman continued. "Like someone who....who eats babies".

Eric chuckled again, a way of masking his concern that he might have probably came too late. "So where are they?", he asked and took another casual glance around the place again. And also noticed the man with the newspaper; the man fits the description and was now keeping a watchful eyes at their position.

"Two left to get their identifications when i demanded to see one", the receptionist snorted and shook her head. "And to go bring another relative. One stayed behind to wait for them". The receptionist rested her elbows on the desk and leaned closer to Eric. "He is the man sitting at the far end, reading a newspaper", she said from the corner of her mouth.

"I see", Eric nodded and stole another casual glance at the man. "He looks kind of odd though", he said with less concern and looked at the receptionist.

"Oh thank goodness!", the receptionist heaved. "For a while i thought i was probably overthinking the situation. You know very well that making a wrong assumption could cost us the job".

"Yep", Eric agreed. "Well you did the right thing. In a place like this, you can't risk putting someone's life in danger", he noted. The receptionist agreed with a nod.

Then a woman dressed in a nurse outfit came over to the reception desk and nodded at the receptionist. On seeing her, the receptionist immediately took out a form, quickly filled it out and put her signature on it.

"The family of Mrs Agnes Simmons have requested for her to be released for a medical check-up", the receptionist began and handed the nurse the form.

"Agnes?", Eric inaudibly murmured the name with furrowed brows. It reminded him of some unpleasant memories.

"This gentleman came from the hospital where it will be carried out to pick her up. Take him to Mrs Simmons room and please do assist him if he requires any help", the receptionist continued.

The nurse nodded and motioned at Eric to follow her.

"Thanks and be watchful incase of anything unusual, alert the authorities if you have to", Eric concluded. The receptionist nodded with a smile and Eric bid the woman a good day as he followed the nurse. And he stole another glance at the man with the newspaper as the nurse led him towards the elevator. The man's suspicion didnt seem to be aroused.

The elevator reached the third floor that housed the private rooms. The stainless steel doors slided open and Eric saw a fairly lit and clean corridor with several doors ahead of him. The nurse stepped out and started heading towards the door at the other end with him following behind.

Eric readjusted the overalls and glanced around the corridor as they walked, making a mental note of the place and weighing the situation at hand. Anton was yet to give the reason for the request he's about to make. But after the situation they had at the bar and what the receptionist had also told him, he now knows that he has a situation at hand. A bad situation. And as long as one of the men that the receptionist had told him about is waiting and probably watching, then things could go really messy and possibly loud. But Eric intends to play it quiet especially being in a different country so as not to do anything that would attract the Family's attention.

The nurse lead him to a door and rapped three gently knocks on it. A female voice was heard answering, "Yes".

The nurse opened the door and peered inside the room. "Madam, someone is here to see you", she informed the occupant in the room. Eric could here the sound of the tv and other movements.

Then the nurse opened the door wider. Eric saw an old woman in her mid fifties, sitting on the bed and facing the tv when he and the nurse stepped inside the room. The woman turned her attention at both of them, giving him a longer stare with a curious look on her face.

Eric gave the woman a friendly smile and casually looked around the place that was well organized and clean. The place looked quite similar to the rooms in a hospital private ward without the hospital equipments and quite bigger. The bed was also bigger, the mattress very comfortable and the window beside it covered with a sun blocking curtain that was spread apart.

"How are you doing ma?", the nurse asked and went over to the old woman who looked quite younger for her age and healthy with a calm composure.

"I'm good", the old woman replied with a look on her face that demanded the reason for their presence in her room.

"Mrs Agnes Simmons?", Eric repeated the name that the receptionist had earlier mentioned, raking his brain hard for something to say or do so as to make his presence relevant and to avoid raising any suspicion. "I'm here to pick you up for your medical check up", he continued, beaming a friendly smile

Agnes gave Eric a brief curious stare. "But my daughter never told me that i would be having a medical check up....today", she said and looked at the nurse.

"Oh really?, i guess she didn't inform you, well it happens all the time", Eric continued kindly maintaining his friendly smile as he paced closer to the woman. "And i think it also has to do with your hearing aid", he added when he saw the device in her right ear.

"Agnes' face beamed with a look of delight. "Oh, did she pay for a new one?", she said and then got out of the bed with a grunt. "I thought she said it was too expensive. Anyway it's high time she did change this one". Agnes reached for her glasses lying beside some books on the bedside table. "It's now becoming really uncomfortable to use and also developing some kind of a battery issue".

"Can i have a look at it?", Eric asked.

Agnes took out the hearing aid device in her ear and handed it to Eric who then inspected it, or rather pretended to be doing so.

"How long have you used it?", Eric asked and looked at Agnes.

"Sorry, she cant hear you without that aid", the nurse chuckled. "You can bang a drum as loud as you can and she wont even hear squat", she continued as Agnes extended her hand for her hearing aid to hear what their moving lips was saying.

"So what were you saying?", Agnes asked after putting the device in its former position.

"I think you are using an older device", Eric replied. "But no worries cos you will be provided with a new and better one", he said with an assuring voice.

"And how much does it cost?", Agnes demanded.

"It's quite expensive but everything has been covered", Eric replied. Then he took a quick glance at his wristwatch. "I think we have to get going madam cos we are running late".

"Oh okay". Agnes picked up her reading glasses and turned to go to the wardrobe. The nurse immediately went over took out the knitted cardigan sweater she wanted to wear. Eric had already gone to the door, he wanted to check the corridor and did do so without arousing their suspicion. Seeing no activity or anything of concern, he respectfully held the door for the old woman to exit her room and led her towards the elevator with the nurse following behind.

"Damn!", Tony muttered and cursed under his breath as he stomped away from the receptionist desk with a confused looking girl following behind him. He was burning with alot of murderous rage, the reason being what the receptionist had told him. Her rather cold attitude to his demand and protests had given him alot of urge to pull out the gun hidden in his jacket and show the b!tch what the firearm can do. But he decided that the woman didn't worth the bullets or his time because there's a bad situation at hand and he has to figure out his next move.

Tony was thinking of what to do next and almost bumped into another male visitor in the lobby as he did so. Pausing for a moment to flash an evil glare that scared the individual abit, he continued in his steps towards the three men sitting at the rear end of the lobby, one of them being the man with the newspaper. They got to their feet on seeing him approaching them.

Tony stood infront and turned to the girl that had been following him, done cautiously because of his visible angry mood. "Get your dirty ass out of here", he muttered to her. "And learn to talk well cos next time if you play that mousy sh!t, am gonna cut off that damn tongue of yours". Then he faced the men after the girl headed towards the sliding exit glass door with an intimidated look on her face.

"Something wrong?", one of the men asked as Tony reached for his cellphone with the frown of a man that just lost alot of money on a bet.

"We have a damn situation", Tony muttered his reply quietly. "Someone else has already picked her up...and the boss wont be happy with the news".

"Who?".

"That fu@king lady behind the desk said that a fellow from the hospital picked her up for a medical check-up, didnt say which hospital.....and kept insisting that we should ask the family member that filed the request".

The man looked at his colleague with the newspaper. "You didnt see that happen?", he asked.

"Dude, more than ten thousand people had gone to the front desk to make their requests since you guys left, so how will i know who is who", the man with the newspaper scoffed at the man.

"Yeah...tell that to the boss!".

"As long as you didnt see the woman leave this building, then she might still be in here", the third man noted.

Tony thought about what the third guy said and nodded. "Then we have to search the entire place", he said, deciding against calling his boss. "Good thing that we came with more men cos that's what we will be doing. Jake, call the rest and tell them the new plan", he said to the man with the newspaper.

"No need for that", Jake said. "There she is....and the man picking her up", he continued and jerked his head at the elevator lobby as Eric stepped of the place with Agnes beside him.

Agnes noticed that the man picking her up for her unannounced medical check-up had been mute throughout their journey from her room to the lobby. And she decided to check up on him. To start a conversation.

"Are we going somewhere far?", Agnes asked and looked up at the man taller than her. She had been secretly admiring his good looks and manner....mostly his looks. He was unlike most men her daughter had introduced to her.

"Well not really", Eric replied as both of them walked into the waiting section of the lobby; Agnes was a slow walker. "But i don't drive rough incase if you are worried", he joked with a faint smile at Agnes and it made her laugh. Eric was glad that she did so. He had already noticed the three men....thugs that were keeping a watchful eyes on them. This will definitely make them feel that their intentions is yet to be known. Their faces, build and what they could possibly do, he had already analyzed with a few casual glances. And from what he had seen, which is, from their mood and the way they watched both him and the old woman, those men were very ready and really out to fufill their intentions; a very bad one. And they will definitely bring alot of harm to do it.

Eric too was ready. The Caffeine Boom: an alarming caffeine cocktail mixture that he had earlier taken after Anton interrupted his peaceful daytime sleep with this mission, was now kicking in his system. And screaming war mode.

"Well it's good to get out of here once in a while", Agnes sighed. "Seeing all these old people makes me feel so old. And my daughter seems quite too busy lately....havent even called me", she continued as they walked, slowly. "By the way have you in any seen my daughter?", she asked and looked at Eric with alot of interest.

Eric shook his head.

"Well of course you haven't", Agnes continued. "Her name is Olivia. A very caring girl with a weakness for good looking men. I would like to introduce you to her, oh by the way, are you....", she stared at Eric.

"Oh yes, i'm already taken", Eric understood the stare. "Married with a kid to be precise", he continued as he ran his eyes around the lobby, plotting a getaway plan. Any action within the premises of the group home could bring a collateral damage and attract the Family's attention.

"Okay. Infact i would be surprised if you weren't", Agne nodded.

Then Eric stopped when they were close to the reception desk. "Madam would you like me to take you out in a wheelchair?", he asked, looking at Agnes.

"Ha! Are you trying to make me feel too old?", Agnes jokingly asked with a chuckle.

"No, i just want to make you feel comfortable", Eric replied, chuckling too. "It's quite a walk from where we are to where the vehicle is parked.

Agnes pursed her lips and nodded her approval. Then Eric went over to the receptionist. The woman saw him approaching the desk as she was attending to another visitor. When he came over, she made some cautious body language, trying to tell him that the men were all present in the lobby.

"I have a request", Eric began, pretending not to have noticed the signs. "Can i borrow a wheel chair from this place?", he asked. "I also need a blanket if one can be provided", he added.

Without hesitation, the receptionist picked up the phone and made a call. Minutes later later an attendant came to the place, pushing a wheelchair with a neatly folded blanket on it.

"Tell the boys to stand down and keep the engine running", Tony ordered with a smile. "That motherfucker seems to be making the job more easier for us", he muttered with a smile as Jake made the call while he watched as Eric covered Agnes' legs with the blanket after he had sat her down in the wheelchair.

"So what next? Are we gonna wait outside until he wheels her out and then stage a kidnap and shoot the guy if he interfere?", the third man asked.

"No", Tony disagreed. "We can't do it here cos that receptionist has being watching us closely. She is suspicious. If anything goes down within the premises of this place, she will definitely give the cops a good description of us.....and don't forget that there are cameras around the damn place".

"So what do we do?", Jake asked and tucked his cellphone back into his pocket and stared at Eric who was now talking to the receptionist.

"We wait until he leaves with the old woman", Tony replied. "Then follow him....and get the woman when we hit the perfect place to do it, a place where nobody would know what happened".

Then Eric left Agnes in the wheel chair beside the receptionist desk and walked towards the restroom, taking out his cellphone as he did so. Tony and the two men watched him till he disappeared inside the place.

"Jake, i want you to go in there and listen to his phone conversation", Tony ordered with a fixed gaze at the restroom and Jake started heading towards place. "Go get the car ready", Tony told the other guy and he immediately head towards the exit door to do as he was told.

Tony took a seat with a deep sigh and gazed at the restroom until Jake entered the place. Then he turned his attention at the oldwoman sitting in the wheelchair, thinking of what next to do.

Jake briskly stepped inside the sparkling clean men's restroom and took a quick note of the men using the room. There are four men in there, including the man he followed, using the white ceramic urinary stall and hand sink. Making no eye contact with any of them, he went straight to a stall, the one next to his guy and pretended to be using it while listening to the man's phone conversation.

Eric saw Jake's pretext from the corner of his eye, smirked and continued the fake phonecall he was making. With one casual glance, he checked the hand sink, the half-filled bottle of the antibacterial liquid soap on it and the distance between the sink and the closest bathroom stall.

In less than no time, two men had left the place and the third was now drying his hand with a paper towel and getting ready to leave.

"Well, i will be there soon but first i have something i need to take care of", Eric said it loud enough for Jake to hear his impending doom and concluded the fake call. Then he slipped the cellphone inside his pocket as the third man walked out, leaving only him and Jake.

Still thinking that the man beside wasn't aware of his plan, Jake went over to the hand sink. He opened the faucet and reached for the antibacterial soap. One moment his eyes was on the bottle as he pressed the pump to dispense some soap in his hand. The next, he looked up and saw his target standing behind him through the bathroom mirror infront of him.

"I hope you are now well aware that it's you and your friends are the something that i intend to take care of", Eric said to Jake with a cold tone of voice. "Cos that woman ain't gonna be leaving with you guys", he continued.

Jake froze at the look of a killer on the face of the man standing behind him. Then he immediately acted, quickly reaching for the weapon tucked underneath his black jacket. And so did Eric, whose fist delivered a rib cracking blow to Jake's liver and caused the man to double-up from the excruciating pain.

Jake was bigger and also a tough man too. He quickly recovered and swung his fist at Eric. But it wasnt enough. Eric blocked the blow with his left hand and at the same time countered with a jaw rattling uppercut with his right. The blow dazed Jake quite well. Then Eric went ahead to quickly put an end to it by grabbing the collar of Jake's jacket, threw a hard karate kick that swept his feet off the floor and causing him to lose his balance. Then Eric expertly propelled the Jake's body towards the edge of the ceramic hand sink as he was falling and the man snapped his neck-bone when his head impacted the edge of the ceramic hand sink. And laid very dead on the floor.

Eric immediately dragged the dead body into the bathroom stall close to the hand sink. After lying the body in there and positioned the head near the toilet sitter to make it look like a fatal accident, he proceeded to take the cellphone and other belongings in Jake's pocket including the handgun. Then he stepped out and grabbed the liquid soap bottle. He dispensed some on the floor close to the hand sink, went inside the stall and dispensed some beneath Jake's shoe and also smeared some on the floor close to the dead body.

Eric was done wiping off the part of the soap bottle that he had touched and setting it back to its former position when someone else walked into the place. The unsuspecting man nodded at Eric who was now wiping his hand with a tissue. Eric nodded back and casually walked out after a quick glance at the bathroom stall with a dead man in it.
