I am an only son and never let that stupid pressure get to me. I made sure I finished my education up to masters level and was comfortable enough before I got married. I have 3 kids now and though mum is late now, she met two of those kids and she was proud of me.

No one is saying that. But, please allow the young man make his own choices in life. SS,, is not a death sentence. I live with it and I am not regretting the choices i have made in life.

That is the best they can do for the guy so long as the lady has accepted. There is a lady in my office whose elder bro jst died on monday cos he was SS and the guy was 34yrs but has no wife nor kids, i won't say he just wasted lik that but the fear of the child not having a future generation must have led them to this act. Kudos to them. Though its their fault from the on-set.

Such parents are usually comfortable and can take care of their daughter in-laws and their grand children.

It is actually a logical decision: the boy still has a minimum of 10 years before he can take care of himself...untill that time he is to be taken care of.

I remember when I was being pressured to marry, immediately after my First degree. No job. Living in the family house. No money of my own.
I asked my mum then, if the intended lady were to be your daughter will you advice her to go into marriage with me? That kind of lessened the pressure.
Maybe I am lucky to have been able to stay alive and make my own choices. I am also grateful that I resisted their pressure then.
