I had to repost Bracha's critique of Someone's SOP to serve as a guide for all applicants.

If you follow that format by Bracha in your own words, then you are good to go.

Do not pay anyone to help you with SOP

My friend just got her note now
How can she tackle this please?
I don't know the applicant's profile, but this shows she was not able to convince the vo she will leave Canada after her program. She can do this by showing strong family-ties(parents and siblings), potential jobs waiting for her in Nigeria after graduation, family investments/properties she will like to go back to manage after studying......

This is a case of poor job prospects and the poor economic situation in the country. Apparently the vo doesn't think the future job salary and all will compel her to come back to Nigeria. Also poor document compilation/expression and poor study plans was also a huge factor. I'll advice that your friend joins the thread to get more tips.

She also needs to work on presenting a compelling proof on why Shell return back home to take the job.

P.s: if the job isn't a government agency or family business then it's a waste of time really. All the best to her.

It’s necessary. They will clip it to your document.if you don’t go with passport, they will ask you to get it outside and the price there is so annoying. Something you can do in your area for 5H they will be giving you price of 2k there.To avoid been sent back, take passport along with you and if they don’t demand for it, it all well and good.

Hi ,

I thought we don't need to submit passport photo graph during TRV application so far you give biometrics..

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry about that. When do you intend to reapply? Let's see if there's a way I can come in and review things with you(when you intend to reapply will determine that though)
I already deferred to winter 2020 and will like to re apply as soon as possible.

Nah dude... even if you ask someone to write it for you, he/she shouldn't even ask for money. At least not from a member of this forum. Yes or No would do. Y'all be your brother's keeper meehn.

No baba people are asking for money and making fool of someone when you send them PM. Except some old members here that I know from other thread and Frank.... alot of them ask for money even just to review.... some ask as high as 20k, 30k. After a painful denial imaging someone trying to scan your hard earn money again.

Make una abeg help oooo
I recently got admited for a Master Prg. Applying for study permit. My questions:
1. Filling the forms, evidence of payment or part-payment has not been required, will it be a requirement for obtaining the Visa

2. Is it possible to use a bank reference letter alone stating the current balance or a bank statement even though the account show that a lump sum of money was recently transfered into it....

#abeghelpme

Hello Amethyst1884,

The payment of tuition fees isn't an essential part of the SP processing and as such the VO won't require you to pay before your application is processed or approved. You should do yourself some good by submitting a BS and the reference letter together. A reference letter only won't suffice because it doesn't show any transcational history and the likes.

Good luck!

Hello Everyone , I got accepted to UoR for a masters degree programme and am preparing my application for a study permit. The Letter of Acceptance doesn't provide details of the fees to be paid and I want to confirm what figures i can input in the form. Will appreciate guidance from anyone who applied to UoR or general comments that may be helpful.

You can assess this from the schools's website or rather contact the school's admission office.

Hey;

After going through the contents in the forum I was really impressed that people out of their tight schedules still make out time to help people in regards to their applications;

...but the fact that I asked for help and someone offered to help and when I contacted him, demanded for service fee, really discouraged me;

Then again; with the responses in regards to the complaint, am really impressed the forum is against it and there are people willing to still help out;

Please let's try to assist each other,

Thanks.

Thanks. I tried to use Flywire, but it seems they don't have an agreement with VIU as I could not find VIU in the list of schools. It's payment for tuition. About $15,000 CAD. DO you know of any other options?
Francology41:

I used Flywire to pay my deposit. It takes 3 to 4 working days for processing and confirmation. You can use your Nigeria debit cards.
