Although I don't agree with most of what he said, I think it's a bit harsh to tag him as worse than local coaches. No him opinion.

Tome, both Imams and Salisu are birds of the same feather both tactically and in terms of player selection

thanks bro...don't mind him..

Salisu is a bit better than Imama
he has proved himself to an extent by winning the last CHAN silver medal and also his players selection I will rate better than Imama for now....
that's the paramount reason I want Yusuf back....

he seems to have this element of luck hovering round him and the best indigenous coach I have seen so far when it comes to players selection and not ridden in sentiments...say because he is an Hausa man...he will litter the team with Hausa players....

so far he has been different a bit in that area...

for me Yusuf is better, tested and at least trusted to an extent....

You are worse than the indigenous coaches you talk about. U should be ashamed of this post. I was even expecting you to say this was a joke but chai!!!

please keep your adulterated sermon in your pocket...

so because he was caught and sanctioned he should be ostracized forever...
how about those secretly doing this...
even though you try defend imama players selection the last time.... only God knows if palms were not greased...

I prefer Yusuf, Ogunbote and that fulani man coaching enyimba who is also a French citizen.... to any indigenous coaches for now...

in the last CHAN yusuf with the likes of Okpoku and co did well.... we came out second... I doubt if imama will even dare qualify from the group stage....

I don't trust imama at all.... if you can give me ogunbote or that enyimba coach that will be fine but if you can't...let's stick to Yusuf...
after all we are not like Britain that have so many integrity coaches...and as such wasn'tdifficult to find a replacement for Sam allarydce

SMH. That's like England hiring Big Sam again after he messed up.
How can anyone trust the guy to be fair and transparent? Is Salisu the only qualified home based coach around?

Playing at the highest level doesn't mean you personally are at the highest level. That's misinterpretation of the facts.

He wasn't good before he arrived at the Bundesliga 1 and he will not become good because he now there.

In all honesty watching him play he will struggle in league one of England. He is simply not good enough all he has going for him is that he is naturally left footed.
This man, the way you reason these things you type ehn chaii ! If not ignored most of the time, it can cause even a chameleon to type at 100 words per minute.
In order to discredit Jamilu now, you're saying he will struggle in the English third tier, a starting left back in the Bundesliga fa... Oga fear god small na
Ok, so there's a new standard now according to you ,playing in the Bundesliga 1 doesn't mean a player is personally at Bundesliga 1 level ba?, which should also mean that the league in which a player plays cannot be used in judging the quality of the player
The same logic should apply to Etebo in the championship, Ahmed Musa in Saudi Arabia, Azubuike in turkey, and all the other Nigerian players in the "spor" clubs, Ighalo in China, if Iheanacho decides to move to Bristol city tomorrow, Nwakali in Spain 3rd division etc etc.... Considering that you've always judged these players and many more with the quality of the leagues they play in before now, going by this new logic can I safely say without any iota of prejudiced emotive sentiment and any of its accompanying synonyms (already in use or yet to be coined) and "misinterpretation of facts" that several of the above listed players may be "personally" above the league in which they play?

Etebo was at fault for both of the goals we conceded.

He's still one player I can't see how productive he's been for the team all these while.
Esiti was personally responsible for the second goal due to his ineptness that dude is a colossal failure in the national team

Musa may be faster but his passes are bad. Those three upfront passes way better than Musa, and I. such quick transition, you need accurate passes too., cos one misplaced pass can spoil it.

How was the final ball from the wingers against Ukraine? Apart from Alex who else made a meaningful pass?

Chukwueze and Kalu are both better passers of the ball than Musa. I am fully convinced Musa is still very needed in the team especially in running at already tired defenders. I will advice him to be a little selfish, he could have scored a handful of goals in Egypt if he shot at goal instead of trying to put through another player with his poor passes.

Fact finding.

Simon Moses is not attack minded. He can't dribble. Blah blah blah. angry Why d lie na? grin

Stats don't lie. grin Few games but still better. grin

Why mention Azubike Okechukwu when we have Ramon Azeez doing better in la Liga? Should I start mentioning Olanrewaju na, heaven go fall. grin

With few minutes Ramon Azeez is still better.

Abdul Ajagun is the only AMF in a top league but coach no wan test am. It seems you must belong to one cartel before you get a look. How Bonaventure take get invitation to the national team baffles me after Rohr made us believe he doesn't rate Belgium league. I even saw one player from the Greek's league make list.

Selective selection is all I see. Rohr is never in charge.

Musa is a starter so let me leave that argument and state main player that our performance affected. Henry Onyekuru might get pushed out and it is not his fault. I just pray you guys are right about Monaco because on paper it looks like the guy will suffer over there compared to turkey where he was royalty

Please what's this yeye African football some folks keep giving as an excuse to sideline the foreign born players here? African football, yet the best Africa teams still struggle to beat third rated European Teams? My people, it is techniques over physicality.

The Aribo I saw AGAINST UKRAINE is exactly what our midfield needs. If he maintains or improves on his display against Ukraine, which was even his debut, then, Etebo would sit for him. Boy's transition from defense to attack trumps Etebo's, he passes better(goal oriented passes), and above all, he is a goal threat.

I envisage a midfield combo of Ndidi, Aribo and Iwobi in October.

Some of the hottest strikers in Europe are they not african, they all started their football here in Africa, na before we dey do physical football now African footballers are very technical ... Self hate..

You are not serious, have watched the game almost 3 times and etebo still remains my man of the match... More interceptions, won the ball more times, an industrialist.. Football is not about attacking alone you also have to emphasize on defending as well... Without etebo we would have lost that game..

However aribo is very attacking, he is like a lo celso kind of midfielder even if he plays deep in the mildfield he would always be in the box or gallops into scoring positions .. However etebo no longer score goals he is more like a complete midfielder winning the ball spreading passes ..

Kalu has won two penalties for the national team. Both were converted. He also gave the assist for the goal against SA in the Afcon qualifiers. The goal that was turned in. All in 10 appearances so far.

Chuks also has 10 appearances so his assists will come.

Musa has well over 80 caps for the NT. And he didn't get his first goal until his 10th cap. Even his first assist came in his 21st cap and he bagged 3 assists that day.

Meanwhile Chuks and Kalu already have a goal each in 10 caps respectively.

Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen will look to score his fifth goal of the season for Lille when they take on Angers SCO in their French Ligue 1 clash today (Friday ) at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, reports Completesports.com.

Osimhen has been in superb form for Lille following his switch from Belgian outfit, Sporting Charleroi this summer, scoring four goals in four league appearances for the club.

Remarkably, all his four goals for Lille have come in their two home fixtures as he is yet to score on the road.

The 20-year-old who was on target in Nigeria’s 2-2 international friendly draw against Ukraine on Tuesday will also be keen to move ahead of Dutch forward Memphis Depay of Olympic Lyon in the top scorers chart.

Both players have scored the same number of goals from the same number of matches.

Lille occupy 10th position in the table on six points from four games, while their today’s opponent, Angers SCO, sit in fourth place behind PSG, Rennes and Nice – all on nine points.
