Hello guys. I was just refused a uk visit visa. During my application, I had over 6 million in my account. My salary is 300k each month, plus I have additional income of around 200k+ every month as well, which I stated during the application. But it seems that they didn't take account of my additional income. What did I do wrong and what can I do to correct it. Any response/help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

" You have declared that you are employed and state that you earn 300,000 NGN (£672.05 Converted on Oanda.com, 05/09/2019) per month. You state that you spend 160,00 NGN (£358.43) per month on living costs. You state that your trip to the UK will cost 1,000,000.00 NGN (£2,240.17) which equates to over 7 months disposable income on a 7 days trip. Your proposed expenditure of your visit casts doubt on your intentions to visit the UK. "

@justwise

You over budgeted for the trip, reduce your budget and reapply

Someone just told me that docs that are either longer or shorter than the A4 size during scanning and uploading at the visa office will be rejected so I need to make copies of those docs to ensure it’s A4 size.

Please house, how genuine is the above point and can you guide on the process and what is expected.

Thanks

pls i need help applying for a uk visa. I am a business person, i am involved in general merchandise. i have a Treasury bill in the bank to the tune of 3m, and my bank account balance is above 1m, i have travelled a couple of times to three african countries and one asian country, and i have been denied a couple of times for USA and schenegen, but i never tried the uk.

On my previous approved visas, i got them approved as an employee of a Nigeria-South African company that i freelance with, but there isnt any proof asides my letter of introduction and letter of appointment but my major funds come from my business.... my inability to get a bank account with monthly employment pay coming in has left me confused as i dont know what best source of income to state to in my visa application.

also, I just newly registered my business about a month ago and my business bank account isnt well run yet.

Pls, how best (employment/monthly income information) can i apply for a UK visiting Visa, as i will like to visit in october?

Yes, I should have written a cover letter about my additional income. I guess we live and learn.

It took about 19 days to get a decision from them.
You mean 19 working days?

@justwise
Reduce the cost of your trip to like 500k or less than that.

Also reduce your spending per month to like 80k.

I don't know if you are planning to stay with family member or not. If you want to use hotel, look for cheap hotel.

Package your application in away that your 2 months salary will cover your 7 days trip.

To me 300k monthly salary is good even without including your additional income.

Outcome of visa application depends on how you package your application.

Include evidence of your extra income. Also write a note in the additional comments section of the visa application concerning your extra income and any other things that you feel will help your application

Best of luck in advance

@justwise

1. How frequent is the inflow of your additional income?

2. Also, I think you need to reevaluate your budget for this trip. Spending 7 months disposable income on a 7-day trip raises red flags such as: "When he gets back to Nigeria, how would he survive for the remaining 6 months, 3 weeks", etc. Like Ashiri***** stated, make some adjustments.

However, I'd like to add that you should stick to indicating the disposable income you mentioned earlier and re-state clearly that you earn NGN500,000 per month (this is, if your additional income comes in on a monthly basis; if it's less frequent, then you'd have to add the minimum additional income you get to the NGN300,000) - and explain how you generate the "additional income".

3. Then, reevaluate your budget:
- Return ticket.
- Accommodation.
- Flex money.
- Transport (within London).
- Miscellany (of gifts, etc).

Perhaps, after doing these, post here to see if anyone can add/remove.

The Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday said that the nationwide implementation of the cashless policy will begin by March 2020.

The apex bank said this in a circular to all Deposit Money Banks in the country.

It said that implementation of the policy would signal the imposition of charges on deposits in addition to already existing charges on withdrawals.

According to the circular, the charges, which take effect from Wednesday (today) will attract three per cent processing fees for withdrawals and two per cent processing fees for lodgments of amounts above N500, 000 for individual accounts.

For corporate accounts, the apex bank in the circular said that DMBs would charge five per cent processing fees for withdrawals and three per cent processing fee for lodgments of amounts above N3, 000, 000.

The statement, however, disclosed that the charge on deposits would apply in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Abia, Anambra, and Rivers States as well as the Federal Capital Territory.

It added that the implementation of the cashless policy would take effect from March 31, 2020.

Me and my family applied for UK tourist visa first week of August.
Got an email on 27th that a decision has been made and TLS will contact me shortly. Up till today, no email, no further communications.

What got me bothered was my colleague who applied same week for a tourist visa have received his passport two weeks ago. He got the visa.

What exactly could be the issue?

I went to TLS and was told they are yet to receive our passports (my family)

I have a foreign training in another country sponsored by my company and now I need my passport back.

How do I go about this? Is this situation normal?
