@pufframmy, you don’t need the checklist, go to tls with a print out of your application, they will give you another check list after scanning your document.

Tourism and visitor visa are the same thing, I don’t know how self service works but when I did mine, I also couldn’t download the check list too due to issues with their platform so they gave me another checklist at tls but mine was assisted service... maybe you should print out that page where it says you can’t download the checklist and take it to tls because tls themselves know that there’s an issue with downloading the checklist.

No, i did not. Use highlighter to highlight the subject matter on a resusal paper and state it in your email as adviced by Oga @justwise

No you don’t need to go with a passport photograph, all you need is
1)your international passport and a photocopy of the data page of your international passport.
2) Make sure to print out your application form (all pages)
if you did self service, an example of the checklist are the categories where you uploaded different supporting documents to, for example; financial evidence, employment evidence, study evidence, accommodation, family status, sponsor evidence, others, etc. that’s what the checklist is all about.

Hello poster sorry for your son's refusal. How old is your son? If you got the right docs submitted as proof that his your son indeed then you can send complaint to the embassy. So they can look into it very well for you

My son was 7month then .What are the right documents.I only submitted birth certificate flight ticket for both of us and a picture but now I want to attach medical report from the hospital, antenatal card, baby shower pictures, naming ceremony pictures

Ashirioluwa:

Reduce the cost of your trip to like 500k or less than that.

Also reduce your spending per month to like 80k.

I don't know if you are planning to stay with family member or not. If you want to use hotel, look for cheap hotel.

Package your application in away that your 2 months salary will cover your 7 days trip.

To me 300k monthly salary is good even without including your additional income.

Outcome of visa application depends on how you package your application.

Include evidence of your extra income. Also write a note in the additional comments section of the visa application concerning your extra income and any other things that you feel will help your application

Best of luck in advance

Thank you very much. I'll do that on my next application.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Adex2066: 11:48am On Sep 19, 2019
BizBloke:

1. How frequent is the inflow of your additional income?

2. Also, I think you need to reevaluate your budget for this trip. Spending 7 months disposable income on a 7-day trip raises red flags such as: "When he gets back to Nigeria, how would he survive for the remaining 6 months, 3 weeks", etc. Like Ashiri***** stated, make some adjustments.

However, I'd like to add that you should stick to indicating the disposable income you mentioned earlier and re-state clearly that you earn NGN500,000 per month (this is, if your additional income comes in on a monthly basis; if it's less frequent, then you'd have to add the minimum additional income you get to the NGN300,000) - and explain how you generate the "additional income".

3. Then, reevaluate your budget:
- Return ticket.
- Accommodation.
- Flex money.
- Transport (within London).
- Miscellany (of gifts, etc).

Perhaps, after doing these, post here to see if anyone can add/remove.

My additional income comes in on a monthly basis. It isn't fixed, but I'd say average around N220k.

I will do what you have suggested, and reduce my monthly expenses to 100k, reduce my total budget for the trip to around 650k, as well as providing a cover letter explaining in great details, my additional income.

Do you think I should touch on the reasons I was refused on my next application? And when do you think will be good to re-apply? Because I was supposed to begin my leave on Monday which I mentioned on my previous application. But I'll trying to get a deal with my boss to push my leave to maybe December.

Hi,

Good day house, I don’t really know how to use this platform so please help me if you can.

I applied for a UK fiancé visa (Priority Service) and submitted documents online, then had my biometrics on the 1st of August, 2019. They said I’ll have a decision in 30 days which has already elapsed and my fiancée have already called them still no positive response. Today I received an email saying a decision has been made on my application on the 3rd of September but I still haven’t gotten a notification that the application is ready to collect. Today is 19th of September and I still don’t have my passport.

Have anyone experienced this or know what’s going on? or have they lost my passport? I’m so confused and frustrated rightnow

A lot of people have been experiencing delays, it’s not just you, you have to wait it out. When I applied for my first visa, it took 3months for the application to be processed and for me to get my passport back.

You mean the eco was arguing with you after you sent the letter of reconsideration?

Hello ma'am from ur response seems you applied for both of you.....you should have included a minor travel consent letter from your spouse. Saying he allows you to travel with the child. Submit compulsorily consent letter alongside other docs you submitted or wanna add in ur new application. Its part of the immigration rule for minors under 18years.....since his a baby and must be accompanied. Goodluck!

You can address it in your cover letter like this
Sub header- With regards to the previous visit visa refusals.

In the year 2017, You were refused a visit visa because of this this that and You were also refused a visit visa in the year 2018 because of this this that.
Just make it short and more explanatory, no long story.
No matter how you write it, try not to make it seem like the ecos who refused you don’t know their job.

Three months for you to get the visa. Will those that were rejected have to wait for 3 months too?

Is delay to return passport a good sign that the visa will be issued?

That was in 2017, I don’t know if it’s still thesame now and I don’t think it has anything to do with getting the visa or refusal, it just depends on the eco that my application was assigned to. During summer like this, na holiday dey most of them brain. Although during that time in 2017, most of the people who got theirs early and were first time applicant were refused and the first time applicants that got theirs late were given visas. (Just my opinion)
